The American dream is that any citizen, regardless of sex, race, creed, or color, can rise on his determination and merit. History is littered with examples of the reformers who worked to realize that dream, pushing the most influential institutions in the country to prize talent and hard work over wealth and connections.

The introduction of standardized testing, accessible to all American teens, was part of that push. Harvard University began administering a standardized test to all applicants in 1905. Its effect was profound and immediate: historically a landing spot for the Protestant upper crust, the school began admitting far more public school kids, Catholics, and Jews.

• For almost four decades, Iran’s regime has been squandering the nation’s resources on terror and militia groups… It is estimated that the regime has spent more than $100 billion on its nuclear program.
• Many employees of the government, including coal workers and railroad workers, have been protesting unpaid wages and salaries. One protester told Iran News Wire, “I wish I would get COVID-19. Many of us do. Committing suicide is hard but we wish for death every day. What we have is not a life.”
• Some of Iran’s authorities have publicly announced that they also do not have money to pay their mercenaries abroad.
• Iran’s mullahs have no one to blame but themselves for the country’s drastic economic situation. They simply need to start prioritizing their own people over sponsoring and funding terror and militia groups across the region.

Violence and looting, burning down stores, churches and small businesses, destroying statues and monuments, antagonism to the American Constitution and Bill of Rights, re-writing History and educational curricula to make America an immoral presence in world history, rather than one of the most successful syntheses of liberty, Justice and capitalism and constitutional checks and balances, people fired for saying “All Lives Matter” instead of just “Black Lives Matter, the sad adoption of anti-Semitism by Black groups and universities – these are the main elements of what we might initially have thought was just a tolerance gone crazy, but might now seem to be a way for “woke” progressives to signal their virtue. Moreover,, now we see these events as reflecting an increasing destruction of Good (and God) and a turning towards evil, in an orgy of masochism driving a Culture War.

The Black Lives Matter movement and the subsequent riots by Antifa, the Democrat party’s domestic terrorist arm, have shown Americans what leftism is — an ugly combination of social and government coercion, racism, violence, and anti-Americanism. It’s also revealed that the American left has been using American blacks as a vehicle for political power without any regard for actually improving black people’s lives. Instead, the left destroys their communities and doubles down on damaging policies.

What few have pointed out, though, is the way BLM protests have revealed the damage that decades of leftist messaging have visited on straight, young, white women. There’s a great comedy video that went viral this week pointing out the similarities between the woke set and racists. Like all good comedy, it’s funny because it’s true. If you watch any of these Black Lives Matter “protests” you notice one big thing: they’re mostly young white people. Yes, the leaders of the organization “Black Lives Matter” are black, they’re also rich, racist Marxists busy counting piles of money, but the people attacking police officers are mostly white. Listening to the rioters, pundits, politicians, and reporters you notice something odd: they all seem to believe black people are incapable of succeeding without their help. This used to be called the “white savior complex,” now it’s simply called “progressive.”President George W. Bush famously and correctly called what liberals were doing to minority students in education “the soft bigotry of low expectations.” He was right then; now the left has stepped up their game and fully hardened that bigotry.

They are first and foremost black; they are human beings defined before anything else by their color — not their humanity, their personality, their character, their mind or their heart. So much so that, according to white and black leftists, if you dissent from this racist view, you are now labeled racist.

The idiocy and inhumanity (literally) of this, the “progressive” view of black people, is easily demonstrated. Do any blacks see themselves first as black? When a black man, let’s call him James, looks into the mirror, does he first see a black person, or does he see James? When a white woman, let’s call her Karen (I’m playing with the left here), looks into the mirror, does she first see a white person, or does she see Karen? Jafaj Intelligence sources have confirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran has recently sought negotiations with the United States “with no pre-conditions from either side”.

The sources have confirmed that the message was delivered by the Swiss Government to the US. A duplicate message was delivered through intermediaries of the German government. The United States has not had an embassy in Iran since 1978, but maintains consular help and communication through the Swiss Embassy in Tehran. Hence, it was only natural to get the message delivered through the Swiss.

While the Iranians have always claimed their desire to negotiate with the Trump administration, they have always exhibited pre-set conditions, for example, Iran’s nuclear program. Nonetheless, this time, the Iranians are seeking negotiations with the Americans with no pre-set conditions from their side.

Universities want money, but not accountability, for how they use federal funds.

In William F. Buckley’s inaugural book God and Man at Yale, published in 1951, then-famed Professor Henry Steele Commager was cited for his belief that university faculty should have total control over the educational marketplace. In Professor Commager’s view, consumers and financers of education should have no say. Buckley believed differently. He believed that much of the Yale professoriate was contemptuous of religious believers and sympathetic to leftist economic theories, out of step with both its student population, and parents and alumni who funded Yale. While professors claimed impartiality, Buckley believed this was both untrue and impossible in any event. Thus, a central argument to his book was the need for countervailing forces. Failure to do so would create “an elite of professional Untouchables.”

(JNS) On the eve of the Syrian Civil War, Muhammad Jarah’s and Ahmad Bustati’s warehouse in Damascus symbolized China’s emergence as Syria’s largest supplier of industrial and consumer goods. The dilapidated warehouse was stocked with everything from Chinese laser-cutting machines to plastic toys for children.

A decade of fighting dashed the two Syrian entrepreneurs’ hopes. However, things seemed to be looking up for businessmen like Jarah and Bustati once Syrian President Bashar Assad gained the upper hand in the war through the assistance of Russia and Iran. China sees longer-term economic potential in Syria as a regional node of what its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) will eventually look like, irrespective of the coronavirus pandemic and its devastating economic consequences.

Former National Security Advisor John Bolton says sovereignty plan hasn’t moved forward due to ‘disagreements’ with US.

The failure of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to move forward with his sovereignty plan at the beginning of July is the result of “disagreement” with the US over the plan, says former US National Security Advisor John Bolton, who singled out President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner as the key opponent to Israeli plans to apply sovereignty.

In an interview with Galei Tzahal’s Efi Triger which was released Tuesday morning, Bolton said that Kushner opposes unilateral actions by Israel, including the application of sovereignty in parts of Judea and Samaria.

Conservative author and activist Michelle Malkin was brutally assaulted and prevented from speaking as she made her way to the speaker’s platform at a pro-police public rally in downtown Denver on Sunday. The patriotic event, the 6^th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day billed as “family friendly,” was advertised in advance on social media including at Malkin’s Twitter, where she has 2.2 million followers.

Malkin was live streaming the event from her cell phone on Periscope Sunday afternoon as the situation deteriorated after masked thugs wearing Black Lives Matter t-shirts assaulted two speakers and then set upon Malkin. A diminutive child of immigrants from the Philippine who legally moved to the U.S. in the late 1960s, Malkin, who was born in Philadelphia in 1970, describes herself as a “little brown woman” with a “big mouth.” Malkin linked to the entire 35 minute long Periscope video at her Twitter.

“Trump Spares Stone from Imprisonment, Sparking Howls of Amnesiac Democrats” was the colorful headline of a recent Wall St. Journal piece by journalist, author and former Asst. U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of NY, Andrew C. McCarthy.

The “Stone” in the headline referred to Roger Stone, a longtime associate of President Trump who was sentenced to 40 months in prison two years ago for lying to Congress, among other counts, during the failed fiasco of the Mueller investigation into the non-existent collusion of then-candidate Trump with Russian operatives to rig the 2016 election in his favor.
