Nothing will happen if Israel applies sovereignty to 30% of Area A

Just as people moved beyond India’s annexation of Kashmir, people will get beyond Israel’s annexation of 30% of Judea and Samaria. Op-ed.

By Rachel Avraham, INN

Netanyahu proposes sovereignty plan September 10th 2019

In recent days, it appears that Israel’s plans to apply sovereignty in thirty percent of Judea and Samaria are halted, for Alternate Prime Minister Benny Gantz does not believe that such plans should proceed amid the pandemic. He also is hesitant to apply sovereignty, in the absence of an agreement with the other side. If the Israeli government listens to Gantz on this, it will be a terrible mistake, for time is not on our side.

Trump’s days in the White House may be numbered and a Joe Biden presidency will not permit Israel to apply sovereignty in any percent, let alone thirty percent of Judea and Samaria. Therefore, unless we want the most beneficial and practical peace plan ever presented to be thrown in the dustbins of history, we need to take action in order to implement it, so it will be a fait accompli before Election Day.

The War Against the West and its Defender

By Melanie Phillips,    JULY 7, 2020<

Across America, law and order has now broken down. There are repeated attacks on the police and a huge spike in the number of murders.

On FrontPageMag, John Perrazzo reports:

“On Sunday, May 31, eighteen homicides were committed in Chicago, breaking the city’s previous one-day record of thirteen, set 29 years ago. In fact, over the course of that same weekend as a whole, Chicago police responded to at least 73 incidents in which 92 people were shot, including 27 who died as a result. ‘We’ve never seen anything like it at all,”’ said Max Kapustin, the senior research director at the University of Chicago Crime Lab. ‘I don’t even know how to put it into context. It’s beyond anything that we’ve ever seen before.’

“In a 28-day period from mid-May through mid-June, the incidence of murder, burglary and grand larceny auto crimes in New York spiked dramatically when compared to the same period last year. Particularly alarming was the homicide count – 38 murders in 28 days – a total twice as high as the corresponding figure from 2019.”

A time for choosing

By Andrea Widburg, AMERICAN THINKER

In 1964, Ronald Reagan burst upon the national political scene with his consequential speech about America’s worrisome move away from traditional American governance that focuses on the individual and reveres traditional morality. Americans nevertheless elected a Democrat who believed that smart government could right all wrongs.

That choice set America on the path to the 2020 election. This time, the choice is no longer between bigger or smaller government. Instead, Americans must choose between individual liberty under the Constitution or full-bore, totalitarian Marxism.

We chose wrong in 1964 but America’s inherent strength gave us a 46-year grace period. This time, however, we’d better get it right for there are no do-overs.

America’s Castrated Generals and Cuckolded ‘Experts’

If Donald J. Trump is re-elected to a second term as president, will that victory finally be enough to break the back of a military and policy “elite” who have surrendered to the anti-American mobs and the Democratic Party who made them possible?

By Sebastian Gorka, AM GREATNESS June 22, 2020

Who does our military serve? Are they subordinated to some ineffable “conventional wisdom” about justice and racial harmony? Do they march to the beat of a “politically correct” agenda defined by the organizations like Black Lives Matter, Antifa, or to the nostrums of ivy league grandees? Are their concepts of operations inspected and approved for their “egalitarian” content by CNN and the New York Times? Or are they under the command of the citizen America elects to hold the rank of their commander-in-chief?

Do we still have civilian control over the military in America and are our services still loyal to the Constitution? Or have our generals and admirals decided to mutiny in favor of those who hate the “deplorables” and Donald Trump, the man Americans chose to lead our country and command our military?

Trump Admin Delivers Formal Notice of Withdrawal from WHO

Trump Admin Delivers Huge Win for America First Agenda

By Jack Davis, WESTERN JOURNAL

Ending months of denunciations of the World Health Organization by President Donald Trump over what he said was its failure to promptly alert the world to the dangers of the coronavirus, the Trump administration on Tuesday formally served notice of its plan to withdraw from the WHO.

A notice explaining the intent of the U.S. to withdraw was delivered to United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, and a spokesman for Guterres confirmed to Fox News that it had been received.

The White House also notified Congress that the U.S. will leave the WHO effective July 2021, Fox reported.

Racialization in 2020

by Howard Rotberg

Have you noticed how various media are using the term “racialized” more often? Have you noticed that there is a lot of advocacy on the need to give special benefits, protections or privileges to “racialized” people? What does that mean?

And aren’t we supposed to act as individuals and judge people as individuals, not as part of a race or ethnicity? Don’t we in the west strive for a colour-blind society? And if we focus on the matters that divide us, how can we ever get along?

Webster-Merriam defines “racialized” as “the act or process of imbuing a person with a consciousness of race distinctions or of giving a racial character to something or making it serve racist ends”.

Point of No Return

The time to choose between irreconcilable opposites is almost at hand.

By Conrad Black, AM GREATNESS July 6, 2020

Donald Trump gave the greatest speech of his career on Friday night at Mount Rushmore, an address that will soon take on historic importance. The president has now forced his opponents out of their fetid hothouse of snobbery, humbug, and subversion. In the process he has forced the Bush Republicans, who led the party between the retirement of Ronald Reagan and the rise of Donald Trump, to show their colors.

George H. W. Bush became president because James Baker, his campaign manager in 1980 when he was running against Ronald Reagan for the Republican nomination, persuaded him to throw his lot in with Reagan after the former California governor’s nomination victory was assured, but while Bush could still win another primary. Not having strong views on the subject, Reagan gave Bush (as the distant runner-up for the nomination) the vice-presidential position. He was a dutiful vice president and competent president, but he never understood how or why Reagan had moved the Republican Party.

Daily Coronavirus Deaths in U.S. Continue to Plummet as Confirmed Cases Hit Record Levels

BREITBARTS

TAMPA, FL - JUNE 25: Adriana Cardenas, a medical technologist processes test samples for the coronavirus at the AdventHealth Tampa labs on June 25, 2020 in Tampa, Florida. Florida is currently experiencing a surge in COVID-19 cases, as the state reached a new record for single-day infections on Wednesday with …

Coronavirus-linked deaths across the U.S. continued on a downward trend as of Monday afternoon, even after the country hit historic levels in the number of new confirmed cases late last week, a Breitbart News analysis of the seven-day average of fatalities showed.

Health experts have warned about the lag between infection identification and death that could take weeks or more, which means the fatalities could increase down the road. The current spike in the number of cases intensified almost three weeks ago around mid-June.

A moving average of cases and deaths reported each day provides a clearer picture of the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic because the daily numbers tend to fluctuate.

What do US Jews really think about sovereignty?

The only way to know is to poll the Jewish population. But the answers may come as a surprise.

By Stephen M. Flatow, ISRAEL HAYOM

What, exactly do American Jews think about the possibility of reuniting small parts of Judea and Samaria with the rest of Israel?

Rabbi Eric Yoffie, former president of the Union for Reform Judaism, says he knows. Writing in Haaretz this week, he declared: “American Jews are not happy.” Note he didn’t say “some” or even “many.” Rather, “American Jews”–all of them, apparently – are “not happy” about any possible application of sovereignty.

According to Yoffie, all American Jews are “shocked,” “panicked,” “puzzled,” “confused,” and “above all, angry” at what he calls “the monumental stupidity” of extending Israeli law to even the smallest part of the areas that have been at the center of the Jewish national homeland for more than 3,000 years.

Christian College Student Kicked Out of School for Posting Videos Critical of BLM

By Ryan Foley, WESTERN JOURNALISM July 6, 2020

A college student in Texas has become the latest victim of cancel culture. It appears that Academia has absolutely no tolerance for any dissenting opinions on Black Lives Matter, whether among students or faculty members.

Ashleigh Brock, who attended the Baptist-affiliated Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, posted some videos on social media criticizing the Black Lives Matter movement. A graphic in a Campus Reform article captured the essence of one of her videos accurately.

In the video, Brock acts out the reactions of people in three different scenarios: where a black person kills a black person, where a black person kills a white person and where a white person kills a black person.

Obama Sowed the Seeds for the Current Societal Chaos

By Steve McCann, AMERICAN THINKER

The election of Barack Obama in 2008 and the unfathomable defeat of his hand-picked successor Hillary Clinton in 2016 rendered inevitable the societal chaos and attempted cultural revolution presently roiling the country.  This entire wretched spectacle comes with a label of origin: Manufactured by Obama and Associates.

After nearly 40 years of gradual infiltration and eventual domination of the Democrat party, as well as the media, entertainment and education establishments, the radicalized American left in 2008 achieved a major objective.  They found their ideal stealth candidate, Barack Obama.  Not only was he, beneath the façade of glibness and conviviality, a fellow Marxist/socialist, but more importantly, he was able to take advantage of decades of inculcated racial guilt among the populace.

Israel Hails ‘Technological Superiority’ After Launch of Spy Satellite

‘Ofek 16,’ which Israel said would provide high-quality surveillance for its military intelligence, was launched at 4 A.M. and has begun its orbit in space

By Yaniv Kubovich, HAARETZ

The Israel Aerospace Industries launched on Monday a new reconnaissance satellite, the Defense Ministry said in a statement. “Ofek 16,” which Israel said would provide high-quality surveillance for its military intelligence, took off at 4 A.M. from a base in central Israel, and has begun its orbit around Earth.

According to the Israel Aerospace Industries, “Ofek 16” is an “electro-optical reconnaissance satellite with advanced capabilities.” It was launched into space using the locally-developed “Shavit” launcher, which was used to launch previous Ofek satellites.

The Origins of “Hate Speech”

T. Belman.  The Supreme Court of Canada also contributed to the development of the law.

R v Zundel [1992] 2 S.C.R. 731 is a landmark Supreme Court of Canada decision where the Court struck down the provision in the Criminal Code by a  that prohibited publication of false information or news on the basis that it violated the freedom of expression provision under section 2(b) of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

In the the Keegstra decision, the SC  agreed that subsection 319(2) of the Criminal Code violated subsection 2(b) of the Charter because it prohibited hate propaganda; nevertheless, the Court divided 4 to 3 on the justification of section 319(2) of the Criminal Code pursuant to section 1 of the Charter. According to Chief Justice Dickson, who stated the reasons of the majority, the prohibition of hate propaganda was a pressing objective of a real and very important character; the impugned section is reasonable and the limitation on expression is minimal.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

Appropriate efforts to condemn symbolic acts of violence such as cross burnings by the Ku Klux Klan have expanded over the years.

Certain ideas and opinions are now defined by their political content to be the moral equivalent of a threat to do violence and physical harm.

Hate speech theory…assumes bad faith on the part of people regardless of their stated intentions.

The Sovereignty Debate Has Changed Israeli Discourse

By Maj. Gen. (res.) Gershon Hacohen, BESA    July 6, 2020

Jordan Valley, photo by Cycling Man via Flickr CC

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The moment the issue of extending Israeli sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and parts of the West Bank emerged, it took on a dynamic of its own. Not only did the opposing sides’ positions grow sharper and more polarized, but the way claims are being made—accompanied by fear-mongering and threats—has changed the dynamic of the internal Israeli debate on the Israeli-Palestinian problem.

What is driving Israeli and worldwide opposition to the extension of Israeli sovereignty over parts of the West Bank? To understand this, we need to address a fundamental change brought about by President Trump’s plan.

Breakdown: The unwinding of law and order in our cities has happened with stunning speed

By Heather Mac Donald, CITY JOURNAL

Breakdown: The unwinding of law and order in our cities has happened with stunning speed

It took several months for the first iteration of the Ferguson Effect to become obvious. Michael Brown was fatally shot by a Ferguson, Missouri, police officer in August 2014, triggering local riots and a national narrative about lethally racist police. Officers backed off proactive policing in minority neighborhoods, having been told that such discretionary enforcement was racially oppressive. By early 2015, the resulting spike in shootings and homicides had become patent and would lead to an additional 2,000 black homicide victims in 2015 and 2016, compared with 2014 numbers.

Today’s violent-crime increase — call it Ferguson Effect 2.0 or the Minneapolis Effect — has come on with a speed and magnitude that make Ferguson 1.0 seem tranquil. George Floyd’s death at the hands of Minneapolis police in late May was justly condemned — but the event has now spurred an outpouring of contempt against the pillars of law and order that has no precedent in American history. Every day, another mainstream institution — from McDonald’s to Harvard — denounces the police, claiming without evidence that law enforcement is a threat to black lives.

Soros Set to Double 2016 Spending, Pouring $40 Million Into Super PAC

WHY DO BILLIONAIRES TEND TO SUPPORT THE DEMOCRATS RATHER THAN THE REPUBLICANS?

By Joe Schoffstall, FREE BEACON

George Soros / Getty Images

Liberal billionaire George Soros is on pace to double his 2016 election spending as he works to oust President Donald Trump, public records show.

Soros’s big investments in the 2020 race have gone into the coffers of the Democracy PAC, a super PAC that passes money to other liberal PACs working to defeat Trump and congressional Republicans. The super PAC has received $40 milliondouble the $20 million Soros spent on Democratic efforts during the 2016 election cycle—from both Soros and a nonprofit in his sprawling network.

The megadonor’s torrent of spending highlights the extent to which liberal donors are committed to getting Trump out of office. Many groups financially backed by Soros have launched multimillion-dollar attack ad campaigns in swing states to reach moderate voters who backed Trump in 2016. A network of liberal donors, including Soros, has pledged hundreds of millions on 2020 election efforts.

Made In China

by Linda Goudsmit, PUDICITY

Made in China is a mutating phrase depending upon its political context. At one time, made in China inferred precision manufacturing and low prices. If clothing was made in China the stitches were precise, uniform, and accurate. Tools, computers, sports equipment, shoes, furniture, virtually anything made in China was considered high quality low price. What happened?

China’s Cultural Revolution is the “sociopolitical movement in China from 1966-1976. Launched by Mao Zedong, Chairman of the Communist Party of China (CPC), its stated goal was to preserve Chinese Communism by purging remnants of capitalist and traditional elements (imperialism) from Chinese society, and to reimpose Mao Zedong thought (Maoism) as the dominant ideology in the CPC.”
