A revolutionary shift in the political preferences of east Jerusalem residents: Only about 15% of people asked in a recent poll now said they prefer Israeli citizenship over Palestinian citizenship, compared to 52% who said they would rather be “Israeli” and not “Palestinian” when questioned on the matter in polls conducted between the years 2010-2015.

The new surveys, which point to the dramatic conclusion, were conducted by the Washington Institute for Near East Policy in conjunction with Palestinian pollsters, under the directorship and supervision of Dr. David Pollock throughout 2018-2019 and in the first two months of 2020. The results were presented during an online event sponsored by the Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research, which helped Pollock during his time and work in Israel. Pollock has surveyed the views of east Jerusalem Arabs since 2010.

Israel: The Settlements Are Not Illegal

The annexation of lands in Judea and Samaria is not contrary to international law

by Michael Calvo, GATESTONE INSTITUTE  •  May 19, 2020 at 5:00 am

According to international law, the Jews are the indigenous people of the lands referred to as Judea, Samaria, Palestine, Israel and the Holy Land. Jewish rights of “settlement” in the so-called “West Bank” therefore exist; it cannot seriously be contended, as the EU, France, Britain, Russia, China and other states do, that Jewish communities in the West Bank are illegal and that annexation is contrary to international law.

  • Indigenous peoples have the right to the lands, territories and resources which they have traditionally owned, occupied or otherwise used or acquired (Art. 26.1) and that the exercise of these rights shall be free from discrimination of any kind (Art. 2). — UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), adopted by the UN General Assembly on September 13, 2007.
  • Among others, Belgium, Britain, France, Germany, Israel and Luxembourg voted in favor of the Declaration. Since 2007, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States, who voted against, formally endorsed the Declaration in 2010. In their relations with Israel, these states cannot claim that the Declaration does not apply to Israeli Jews, since such position would amount to blatant racial discrimination.

Germany didn’t order a lockdown and did much better than most western governments

By John Horvat II, AMERICAN THINKER

In the fight against the coronavirus, most governments, including some state governments in the U.S., have enacted the Chinese lockdown model for industry. The plan shuts down all “nonessential” activities, lays off workers and expands government benefits and control of society. These massive one-size-fits-all programs deliver predictably inhuman and inflexible results, typical of communist governments.

The problem is that the coronavirus crisis is a human problem. Human problems demand human solutions. Treating human problems in a global, mechanized way treats people like mass-produced goods. It destroys those organic solutions that arise when people employ the original and proportional means that are part of their human nature. Governments need to work with nature, not against it. The Chinese model is an example of how not to deal with a crisis.

King Abdullah’s empty threats

T. Belman.  Glick writes “It is possible that one day, with his back to the wall, Abdullah will abrogate the treaty. It is equally possible that one day he will be overthrown and that the successor regime will abrogate the peace treaty with Israel.”

I agree that it is likely he will be overthrown but not by a hostile sucesssor regime but by the friendly Jordanian Opposition Coalition headed by Mudar Zahran.

Abdullah will not cancel his kingdom’s peace deal with Israel because the peace treaty guarantees the survival of his regime.

By Caroline B. Glick, ISRAEL HAYOM

Should Jordan’s King Abdullah have veto power over Israel’s plan to apply its sovereign laws to its cities, towns and villages in Judea and Samaria and to the Jordan Valley, in accordance with the Trump peace plan? Monday morning, senior leaders of the Blue and White party began making noises to that effect.

In an interview with Germany’s Der Spiegel last Friday, King Abdullah threatened, “If Israel really annexes the West Bank in July, it would lead to a massive conflict with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.”

News updates Monday morning reported that “senior officials” from Blue and White were working to condition Israel’s implementation of the sovereignty plan on securing prior approval from Jordan.

Can Israel implement Trump’s ‘Peace Plan’ and still appease Jordan?

T. Belman.  I don’t like the title or the sub-title.  If Israel can’t handle threats from Jordan, then they can’t handle any threats. Israel can’t allow itself to be intimidated by such threats.  Abdullah’s bluff must be called.  So far Israel has tolerated Abdullah’s threats whether relating to the temple mount or the Jordan Valley or the two state solution.  Jordan is not about to follow through on the threats.  It can’t afford to. The same goes for Egypt.  Besides, Trump won’t stand for it.

Can Israel take advantage of a “historic opportunity” while preserving Israel’s peace treaties?

Benny Gantz, head of the Blue and White Party, visits Kibbutz Kfar Aza near the Gaza Strip on March 13 with party candidates Gabi Ashkenazy and Moshe Ya’alon

Israel-watchers abroad looking for cues as to whether the new Netanyahu-Gantz government will extend Israeli sovereignty over large swaths of the West Bank got little clarity from Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi’s maiden speech on the world stage on Monday.

For Ashkenazi, in a changing of the guard ceremony at the Foreign Ministry with Israel Katz, sent mixed messages.

Saudi Arabia’s Problems: Coronavirus, the Economy, and Geopolitics

By Dr. James M. Dorsey, BESA

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Combatting the coronavirus pandemic and coping with its economic fallout may be Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman’s most immediate challenge. Equally urgent is repairing strained relations with the US and ensuring the kingdom’s competitiveness with Iran as the two rivals compete for China’s favor.

Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman may feel the global coronavirus pandemic and its economic fallout are the more immediate of his problems as the kingdom gradually lifts restrictions put in place to stymie its spread.

However, looming large on the horizon is a potential rift with the US resulting from the kingdom’s oil price war with Russia, which contributed to the collapse of oil markets and an existential crisis for America’s shale industry.

Nakbacide – the failed genocidal war against the Jews

Why don’t Kuwaiti Palestinians hold a Nakba for the 400,000 expelled from Kuwait by the Kuwaitis for supporting Saddam Hussein?

By Daniel Greenfield, INN

Imagine if every year on the 7th of May, Germans held an annual commemoration of the defeat of the Nazi state, complete with Swastikas, anti-Semitic chants and slogans, and claims that the Volksdeutsche expelled from Poland, Czechoslovakia and Hungary were the real victims.

That’s the spectacle that takes place every May as Muslims in Israel chant and riot to protest their unsuccessful genocide of the indigenous Jewish minority.

And the media sympathetically covers this repulsive spectacle of historical obliviousness, of a regional majority responsible for multiple genocides, dressing up as the victims because their invasion of Israel ended in a stalemate, rather than the intended genocidal purge of the Jews.

The revisionist Muslim history of Israel ethnically cleanses the thousands of years of history of the original Jewish inhabitants and a thousand years of persecution under Muslim rule.

The strange state of politics in Israel and America

If you live in Israel, it is difficult fully to describe or explain Trump Derangement Syndrome

By Rabbi Dov Fischer, ISRAEL HAYOM

If you live in Israel, it is difficult fully to describe or explain Trump Derangement Syndrome (“TDS”). If you live outside Israel, it is equally difficult to explain Bibi Derangement Syndrome (the other BDS, or “TO-BDS”).

Nevertheless, both these political-psychological phenomena continually emerge in the public forum to disrupt the great debates on the issues of the day. Simply put, TDS and TO-BDS strike certain conservatives, not others, and the impact is striking.

In the United States, for decades Republicans looked to great conservative pundits including Bill Kristol, editor-in-chief of The Weekly Standard, and George Will, long-time Washington Post columnist, television-news analyst, and author.

For me personally, I followed Will avidly, published articles in The Weekly Standard, and exchanged a few friendly emails with Bill Kristol. An early highlight in my career as a widely published opinion writer came when The Weekly Standard not only front-paged me but listed me above Charles Krauthammer. Only a week later, National Review began soliciting my articles. Read more…

The Lod District Court on Monday convicted Amiram Ben Uliel in the 2015 Jewish terror arson murders of three Palestinians in Duma.

The arson attack on the Palestinian Dawabshe family home killed 18-month-old Ali and his parents, Sa’ad and Riham and destabilized Israeli-Arab relations throughout the region.

The court also acquitted Ben Uliel of membership in a terror group.

Asher Ohayon, the lead lawyer for Ben Uliel, vowed to appeal to the Supreme Court, saying that the court had wrongfully accepted confessions given post-torture.

The Lod District Court will rule on Monday on one of the most controversial cases impacting Israeli-Arab relations: the verdict in the Duma arson murders of July 2015.

The arson attack on the Palestinian Dawabshe family home killed 18-month-old Ali and his parents, Sa’ad and Riham.

For months after, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) performed a massive manhunt and investigation, but turned up empty-handed.

President Trump discusses bombshell revelations in Flynn case in exclusive interview with Maria Bartiromo

By Talia Kaplan | Fox News

Trump: Unmasking of Flynn is greatest political scam in history of our country

President Trump called the Russia Probe “the greatest political crime in the history of our country, ” and labeled his former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn a hero, in an exclusive interview that aired Sunday with Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo.

Trump’s comments, during the interview on “Sunday Morning Futures,” come after the Justice Department this month moved to drop its case against Flynn, in a stunning development that follows internal memos being released and raises serious questions about the nature of the investigation that led to Flynn’s late 2017 guilty plea of lying to the FBI.

Italian Politician Demands Bill Gates Be Arrested For Crimes Against Humanity on Parliament Floor

An Italian politician demanded the arrest of Bill Gates for “crimes against humanity” in a passionate speech on the parliament floor.

By Cassandra Fairbanks, GATEWAY PUNDIT

Sara Cunial, the Member of Parliament for Rome, blasted Gates during her seven minute long speech on Thursday, claiming that he has been working on a depopulation policy and plans for dictatorial control over global politics.

The lawmaker blasted the shut down orders, handling of the coronavirus pandemic, and vaccines.

Cunial claimed that the “real goal of all of this is total control. Absolute domination of human beings, transformed into guinea pigs and slaves, violating sovereignty and free will. All this thanks to tricks/hoax disguised as political compromises.”

A Haifa-based regenerative medicine company that has been treating COVID-19 patients with its biological therapeutic products reported that 75% of those treated were off any mechanical ventilation within 28 days.

Pluristem Therapeutics developed PLX cells that induce the immune system’s natural regulatory T cells and M2 macrophages, which in previous pre-clinical studies on animals showed therapeutic benefit against pulmonary hypertension, lung fibrosis, acute kidney injury and gastrointestinal injury – all potential complications of severe COVID-19.

Last month, Pluristem began testing its PLX cells on patients with COVID-19 in hopes of reducing the effects of the virus-induced pneumonia or pneumonitis and leading to a better prognosis.

The epidemiological model that drove the world to shut down was ‘buggy’

By Andrea Widburg, AMERICAN THINKER

Early in the Wuhan virus’s trajectory, the British government announced that it was going to go for a herd immunity approach (that is, the approach Sweden eventually used). Because the government is Tory, the left-leaning media insisted this would kill every Briton.

These arguments gained weight when epidemiologist Neil Ferguson introduced his model showing that anything other than a total lockdown would kill over 500,000 Britons and 2.2 million Americans. Britain and America instantly stopped in their tracks. Only now, months later, are we learning that Ferguson’s model was a buggy mess.

The British Telegraph reports that the disgraced epidemiologist, who broke quarantine for his sex life, had a fatally flawed model:

OBAMA has a track record of seeking private information in order to smear a political opponent

By Janice Shaw Crouse, AMERICAN THINKER

Well informed citizens have been rocked by revelations from recently unclassified documents that clearly show THAT President Obama “was aware of the details of wiretapped conversations of then-incoming National Security Advisor Michael Flynn and then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak in December 2016.”  Further, there’s a long list of Democrat dignitaries who are also part of the unprecedented spying on an opposition party in an attempt to influence a presidential election and then undermine the duly elected president.  The really pivotal fact, however, is that “Obama’s knowledge of Flynn being wiretapped raises significant questions about what Obama knew and when he knew it with regard to the attempt to railroad Flynn and prevent him from serving as Trump’s national security advisor.”

There is nothing new about Obama seeking private information in order to smear a political opponent.
