Safety First, Comrade

Peloni:  Joan Swirsky provides the first of two reviews of Trump’s policies, with Hugh Fitzgerald providing the second.  The two essays cover different facets of Trump’s policies but both make important observations of the current president’s policies to consider, the implications of which are rather pressing on the future.  Be sure to see my comments on Fitzgerald’s article.

The communists who want to run our country and our lives have no regard for our well-being. Just look at a little history, plus the present day.

When I was studying to become a nurse in the late 1960s, I learned that the most important value in patient care, for both nurses and doctors, is safety.  Not curing, which is hoped for but often impossible, and not even empathy, although a high priority.  That is because the patient who falls out of bed or is given the wrong dose of medicine or whose grievance is ignored or — yikes! this just happened in Nashville — may pay with nothing less than his life.

Netanyahu in dire straits: New right-wing party threatens to sink Minister Smotrich & his entire coalition

Peloni:  The Left’s Crumbs Strategy, which includes seeing Right wing votes being squandered on parties too small to pass the threshold, appears to be working, but with the announcement of Gen, Ofer Winter’s new “Peaople of Israel” party being formed, the outlook for the Right seems more remote than ever.  As we will discuss later, this is because Winter represents two aspects of the Crumbs strategy, wasting votes on small Right wing parties and the isolation of the Haredim parties from the Right.  All by himself, Winter may lead the Right Bloc into a no win scenario.

Winter’s ‘People of Israel’ shoots up in the polls but harms right-wing bloc’s chances of winning

After several new center-right parties failed to make an impact in recent weeks, the launch of retired general Ofer Winter’s new “People of Israel” party and the long-awaited unification of Arab parties have shaken up the election landscape over the past week.

Judge Throws Out 9/11 Mastermind Confession Because He Wasn’t About ‘Right To Be Silent’

Peloni:  What could be more reasonable than for the Islamist aligned Left to purposefully undermine the most critical element of evidence against the greatest terror attack in history on the American people.  It is hard to see a more obvious and troubling example of the coalition between the Left and the Islamists than the possible freeing of the mastermind of 9-11.

FBI agents also didn’t tell the Al Qaeda leader he could call a lawyer.

Using the Article III system to try Al Qaeda terrorists was a reasonable solution, the trouble is that military tribunal personnel in this century look nothing like the guys who took a smoke break and sentenced Nazi saboteurs to death during WWII. Their ideal is A Few Good Men, they’re liberals if not outright leftists, and they’re far more likely to be on the side of the terrorists than to be on our side.

THE ISLAMIC TAKEOVER IS HERE: Turning US Cities Into ‘Beachheads’ for Islam

Peloni:  America has an Islamist problem, and despite Trump decribing it as only being present in pockets in a recent interview, the reality is something far more troublesome than this.

By |

A RealClearInvestigations analysis finds that Islamic activists now hold at least ten (10) high-ranking positions at New York city hall under Mayor Mamdani, including several alumni of terror-tied Council on American-Islamic Relations, which the FBI says is a “Hamas front.” Some of the new Muslim officials are in a position to influence the city’s anti-terror policies and the selection of judges, RCI has learned.

Once Upon a Time There Was No West Bank: Then Jordan Drew a Line and History Forgot

Victor Satya | Aug 22, 2026

A few geographical problems in the world are so magnificently overworked as the one called the “West Bank.”

Every week, the international community assembles to discuss it. The United Nations discusses it. European governments discuss it. Human-rights organizations discuss it. Newspapers discuss it. Diplomats discuss it. The Vatican, which one might reasonably expect to remember the Bible, discusses it.

How the Gaza Genocide Lie Became a License to Harass and Kill Jews

From LA to Washington and Sydney, an ominous pattern of violent Jew-hate emerges.

Last December, masked anti-Israel activists mobbed Wilshire Boulevard Temple, the oldest Jewish synagogue in Los Angeles, hurling antisemitic slurs at guests and branding them “genocidal monsters.” Within two weeks, the FBI arrested four members of the group that promoted the assault. The self-styled “Turtle Island Liberation Front” now faces federal terrorism-related charges for allegedly plotting to set off pipe bombs at five sites across Southern California on New Year’s Eve. The alleged ringleader, Audrey Carroll, called herself “a Hamas fangirl.”

The Lone Wolf Is not alone: What drives the stabbing Jihad

The decisive question is why one society’s political, religious and media institutions repeatedly provide a ready-made target, a heroic script and communal validation for those who commit terror.

On August 23, a 16-year-old Palestinian Arab approached Elchanan Hanania from behind near the village of al-Auja in the Jordan Valley and stabbed him repeatedly. Hanania, a 24-year-old career soldier, was traveling to Tiberias with his pregnant wife, two young daughters and father-in-law to celebrate his wedding anniversary. His family watched from the car as he fought off his attacker. The assailant fled and was captured by Israeli forces later that day.

USAID OIG’s Ongoing Investigation Leads to Proposed Debarments of Two Former UNRWA Staff for Links to Hamas and One for Links to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad

Peloni:  What I find particularly disturbing in all of these matters related to the perpetrators of October 7 being exposed while in the pay of US and other govts is that, as is shown here, the perpetrators are simply considered for “ suspension and/or debarment action.”  The actions indicated are terrorist attacks, the wanton rape, murder, dismemberment or kidnapping of individuals, some of whom included American citizens.  So, while ending the employment of terrorists is clearly indicated, why is there no action being taken to prosecute them, or to process them for extradition to Israel for prosecution?  If the individuals are guilty of such grossly criminal actions deeming termination by the State Dept, why stop at simply ending their employment?

USAID OIG | Aug 26, 2026

INVESTIGATIVE SUMMARY:

USAID OIG, a statutorily independent law enforcement and oversight entity, continues to investigate UNRWA staff linked to Hamas and other U.S. designated terrorist organizations. As part of this ongoing investigation, USAID OIG has referred over 100 current or former UNRWA staff for participation in the October 7 terrorist attacks in Israel and/or affiliation with Hamas to the U.S. Department of State for independent review of the evidence and consideration of suspension and/or debarment action. Of those referred, three have recently been proposed for debarment by the Department.

How Cancelled Jewish Comedian Yohay Sponder Got The Last Laugh!

Peloni:  It is always important when being openly abused by our enemies and their useful idiots to stand our ground and never allow these actions meant to isolate and ostracize us to go unaddressed. Instead, as Yohay Sponder relates, we must demand the respect which useful the Jew Haters and their useful idiots fail to pay us. So as Sponder explains, we should let them pay in other ways, allowing them to learn what they failed to grasp otherwise, ie that there are consequences to subscribing to Jew Hatred or succumbing to hate mail. We are owed the dignity which they would otherwise deny us, and consequently, this is an important way to teach at least the useful idiots the costs of being so badly informed and so shamefully callow. So be it.

This story is rotten at the very top

Democrats are waking up to American far left’s antisemitism problem

Peloni:  How ironic that with only 4 primaries left in the Democratic party, the Democratic leadership is crawling from its hole where it sat silent while the DSA was gaining ground across the country and throughout the party.  While some might suggest that it is better late than never, it is important to counter with the reality that this should be understood to be merely part of the normal political process in which, with the primaries behind them, the Dems are now running towards the political center, hoping to salvage the support of the independent voters to help the already chosen candidates win in the general election.  Indeed, change within the Democratic party, if it is truly coming, will not be seen in this political season, as the candidates for that radicalized institution have already been chosen.

Abdul El-Sayed’s ‘Are you circumcised?’ blunder could cost Dems — and create greater party fracture

Peloni: Oy gevalt!  There is truly no borderline within the Democratic party which will not be broken in preference of maintaining faith between the allegiance of the Red-Green Alliance.  America must show these reprobates the political cold shoulder which they have so righteously earned, and should this fail to be the consequence for such brazen advocacy of Jew Hatred, misogyny and anti-Americanism, the world will come to be a far darker, more tragic and less vibrant place than has been the case over what has come to be known as the American century.  The future is on the line in the coming election in America, and while this is always true of every election everywhere, the coming American election in particular carries with it decisions pregnant with the legitimization of targeting of whole swaths of American society.

And then there are sentences that, until Monday night, had probably never been uttered during one.
