Peloni:  The problem with the story that former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is that Ahmadinejad reported to have been still active in the Iranian govt while he was supposedly so out of favor with the regime that he was under guard.  Also, it seems a bizarre means of rescue to bomb his residence with him in it, and then immediately afterwards proclaim his death as part of the plan to eliminate the Iranian hiarchy.  While this being intended disinformation might explain this celebration of Ahmadinejad’s death, it also seems curious that the report of Ahmadinejad being an Israeli asset would so quickly be released while the war was still ongoing.  Now the NYT releases a new story about Ahmadinejad being an Israeli asset, only to have a Iranian report earlier today state that “Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad attended Saturday’s meeting of the Economic Committee of the Council for Discerning the Interests of the Regime” [OSINT613].  So disinformation is clearly at play here, the only question is who is trying to gaslight whom, and is it actually working?  So was Israel’s plan to back Ahmadinejad or Pahlavi?  Would Ahmadinejad be kept alive amid the war which he was caught actively working with Israeal to kill Khameini?  Is the claim of Ahmadinejad as an Israeli agent really credible?

Dark Horse Comics had scheduled publication of Dr. Rafael Medoff’s book, Cartoonists Against the Holocaust, for this summer—but a Dark Horse imprint editor told Medoff that he would block publication unless the book’s introduction stated that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. Shortly after, the editor followed up in writing, demanding that the book include text accusing Israel of “war crimes and crimes against humanity” and claiming there are “concentration camp-style prisons” in the United States.

Peloni:  This case sends a clear message both about the Jordanian govt’s continued support of the Muslim Brotherhood, but also about Washington’s current interest in altering the power and influence of the Muslim Brotherhood even in Jordan at current.  If Trump’s ban is going to have any effect at all, it must address the ability of the Muslim Brotherhood affiliates to avoid accountability by simply changing the names of the affiliations. Otherwise, Trump’s ban will be as ineffectual as the captured Muslim states which are now controlled/controlling the political leaderships which are intended to enforce already existing bans on the Muslim Brotherhood in the region.  Relevantly, if the Trump ban does not act to eliminate the Muslim Brotherhood even in the named localities where the ban is applied, it will only serve to insulate the Muslim Brotherhood everywhere, and most importantly, that includes their influence being wielded in America as well.

Update:  US military strikes now taking place in Iran.

Peloni:  As of 30 minutes before posting this article, the war continues on with Trump posting a photo of a B-1 Lancer and a B-2 Spirit, an obvious threat, the meaning of which is not yet clear.  It appears that the Iranians recieved the message as they are continuing to launch missiles on the Strait of Hormuz at this moment.

Renewed Iranian attacks on its neighbors stretch around 3,000km, expanding the battlefield, pursuing its goal of spreading the conflict as wide as possible.
