Ilhan Omar tweeted, “Yesterday at Social Justice Day a student asked me, ‘How do I stay hopeful that change is going to come?’ This is tough to unpack,” she responded before going on to give a meaningless ramble.

More perceptively, @rdunnflorida tweeted, “Only weak people blame others. Strength is taking responsibility for everything that you do.”

This set me thinking. How about a different Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib itinerary for their tour of Palestine? One based on them educating Palestinians to take responsibility for themselves based on their social justice and civil rights principles.

Take heart, antisemites. Or be depressed.  Because the myth on which so much antisemitism is built finally now is exposed as one more fantasy, one more falsehood, one more libel. The myth that Jews have influence in the Democrat Party. Turns out ‘taint so. Duh!

Don’t get me wrong. Like most American Jews, I love many of the main antisemitic myths and defamations. Lying Jew haters say that Jews control the banks. They say that Jews control the wealth. They say that Jews hypnotize the world. They say that Jews control everything.

As a Jew, what’s not to love when you read that stuff?  Think about how it feels for me:  I control the banks, the wealth, hypnotize the world, control everything. It’s like the guy in every eighth “Twilight Zone” episode that has a story built around that variation. Honestly, for me as a Jew — that is so unbelievably cool! Ah, to control everything. Everything.

It is important to understand that the human mind is not a perfect discerner of the objective reality. It is said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Similarly, it can be said that reality is in the mind of the beholder. The outside world only supplies bits and pieces of raw material that the mind puts together to form its perception—reality. Depending on the type and number of bits and pieces that a given mind receives and its already in-place data, its reality can be very different from that of another mind.

The more prescribed and homogeneous a group, the greater is the group’s consensual reality, since the members share much in common experiential input and reinforce each other’s’ mindset. Thus, members of a given religious order, for instance, tend to think much more similarly to one another than to members of other groups with different experiential histories. Read more…

The past few weeks have seen a number of stories about “Jewish protesters” at ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) facilities. That phrasing is important. These were not protests that some Jews happened to join. These were explicitly Jewish protests, organized in the name of American Jewry, claiming fidelity to the Biblical command of “loving the stranger.”

Meanwhile, last week the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations expressed “reservations” over Israel’s decision to cancel Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib’s visit to “Palestine,” which was organized by a PLO-affiliated, pro-BDS organization. Apparently, fighting American immigration law is a core Jewish value while fighting anti-Semitic agitation against Israel is not.

How did we arrive at this point? The answer is illuminating – and critical.

The Thomas More Law Center, a national nonprofit public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, uncovered a massive Islamic propaganda campaign which is being forced onto teachers in public school systems in Michigan and many other states.

TMLC was concerned after hearing about a two-day MANDATORY Islamic training course for teachers taught by a Muslim consultant who was hired by Michigan’s Novi Community Schools District, according to TMLC.

The Thomas More Law Center filed a FOIA request for documents related to this two-day Islamic training workshop and discovered that the teachers were being told lies about Islamic terrorism, jihad and Sharia law.

Deputy commander of paramilitary forces blames US, while leadership considers next step after fourth mysterious explosion destroys munitions of Iran-backed militias.

A divide within the Popular Mobilization Forces, a group of mostly Shi’ite militias that are seen as pro-Iran, is emerging in response to alleged airstrikes that have struck their facilities over the last month. The divide pits the official line of the PMF against comments made by Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy of the PMF and a leader of Kata’ib Hezbollah. On the ground the larger issue confronting the powerful paramilitary groups of the PMF is how to respond.

Muhandis condemned the recent explosions at PMF facilities, including Amerli, Camp Ashraf, Camp Falcon and near Balad Air Base, accusing the US of being responsible for them and arguing that Israeli drones were used to carry them out. But the PMF’s leader Faleh al-Fayyadh is more cautious in assigning blame. This opens up many questions about what is going on internally within the organization and long-term affects it might have on Iraq.

PA accepts money from Israel despite previously rejecting tax payments due to offsetting of terrorist salaries.

The Palestinian Authority (PA) said on Thursday it had accepted a partial payment of just over half a billion dollars from Israel, AFP reports.

“An agreement was reached a few days ago with the Israeli side for transferring duties on oil and fuel which the Palestinian Authority bought in Israel to the amount of around two billion shekels ($568 million, 512 million euros),” the PA’s “civil affairs minister” Hussein al-Sheikh told the news agency.

Israel in February decided to offset the PA’s payments to terrorists from the tax money it collects on behalf of the PA. The decision meant it would withhold around $10 million per month from revenues of some $190 million per month it collects on the PA’s behalf.

Another such miscreant, the late and unlamented Egyptian born arch-terrorist, Yasser Arafat, spewed many canards, but one which has been repeated relentlessly by the Arabs who call themselves Palestinians is that there were no Jewish Temples on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, thus rejecting the Hebrew Bible and faith based history that Jews and Christians revere.

Other Palestinian Arab ‘notables’ such as the once Chief Palestinian Justice, Sheik Taysir Tamimi, had declared the Jewish Temples “never existed.” And even the Palestinian so-called moderate whom the Leftists and gullible liberals love to love, Sari Nusseibeh, made the preposterous and malicious claim that “the historical ties and attachments of the Palestinians precede any Israeli claim to Jerusalem.” Well, when Islamic preachers teach children that Abraham, Moses and Jesus were not Jews but Muslims you have to conclude that it’s loony tunes time.

Over the past decade, the Jewish establishment leadership in America – with the exception of the Orthodox, the Zionist Organization of America, and other small groups – has failed to speak up in defense of Israel and imposed a curtain of silence. This became blatantly evident during the presidency of Barack Obama, who diplomatically related to Israel as a rogue state, employing moral equivalence toward Israeli defenders and victims and Palestinian terrorists.

Much of the hostility to Israel within the Democratic Party can be attributed to the passiveness of non-Orthodox American Jews – a byproduct of the Jewish illiteracy of younger generations. Many of these consider support for social radicalism to be a far higher priority than support for Israel.

ETZ EFRAIM, West Bank — Yamina party leaders on Wednesday introduced their plan to solve Israel’s housing crisis, proposing the construction of over 110,000 new apartments in the northern West Bank that would serve as home to half a million Israelis.

“The Tel Aviv metropolitan area is almost as crowded as Gaza and as expensive as New York,” Yamina chairwoman Ayelet Shaked claimed at an event inaugurating the housing plan in the northern West Bank settlement of Etz Efraim.
