Obama and Slotkin: It’s never hypocrisy when Democrats do it

PELONI:  Some people are looking at these statements from the Democrats as a threat as to what they will do to their Republican counterparts.  I would argue that they should take it as a promise.  The distinction being that there is no moral foothold incumbent on the Democrats, something which was clear from their not that long ago previous hold on power.  The introduction of show trials on a national stage aimed at not only the political opposition with faux charges of political malfeasance, but also at the most ardent public supporters of the opposition with faux charges of espionage for having the temerity to have called for a fair consideration of the fraud in the previous election.  This is the most uncivil of wars which could be brought by a government on the heart of the political opposition, and just as it can be justified to state that Obama is lying because his mouth is moving, we can be certain that Lawfare and political witch hunts will soon return with the return of the Democrats to power in Washington, that is of course if the Democrats should return to power in Washington.  Americans have a great and grave choice before them.  As is true in Israel, America is only one election away from a great downfall, so vote wisely or you will face the greatest of disasters.  Remember this:  the Democrats in America and the Leftists in Israel are each far more radical today than in 2020 and 2022 when last they each respectively held power in these great nations.   They will not be more accommodating to their respective oppositions nor to their respective country should they be given the opportunity to do so.  The only option for good or fair governance in both nations is to block any opportunity for the Democrats and Leftists to retutn to power.  It is going to be an interest next few week, so let us see what happens.

Two perfectly timed messages about political prosecutions from top Democrats remind us that Democrats have no shame.

Two Democrats have spoken in the last few days about political prosecutions. One is that party solon, Barack Obama, who defended Ilhan Omar by insisting that no true democracy would ever bring the government’s police powers to bear against a political opponent; the other is from Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D. Michigan), threatening all Republicans with the government’s police powers to dissuade young conservatives from a future in government.

The Death Penalty Upholds the Value of Human Life

Giving murderers a pass isn’t compassion, it’s cruelty.

The debate over the virtue of the death penalty has intensified after the failed execution of Christa Pike, a monster who tortured a woman to death and kept a piece of her skull as a souvenir, and the proposed execution of Nidal Hasan, a Muslim terrorist behind the Fort Hood Massacre whose victims included a pregnant servicewoman and her baby.

‘Won’t allow Israel to annex the West Bank,’ Trump said

PELONI:  In the JNS article linked below, we are reminded of the cost of short term victories with long term costs.

Sovereignty requires independence, self reliance, and confidence.  All of this and more is belied by Israeli dependence on the US endorsement of any given candidate.  Indeed, the internationalization of Israel’s sovereign rights and Israel’s sovereign decisions (elections) is the entire problem which exists in the US-Israeli relationship.  From the High Court to the Prime Minister, references to international authorities or leaders, as if they might have greater authority than Israel’s own institutions and leaders is what is drawing sickness from the well and poisoning the future of Israel.  Netanyahu represents the most capable leader in Israel, and for that reason he deserves to continue in that position, but for him to do so while gaining the support of America comes with the lingering ties which have kept the concept of the Two State Solution active long after its demise and has banned the implementation of Jewish sovereignty over Jewish lands, presumably indefinitely.  Trump should be offered no authority in Israel’s extension of sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, just as Huckabee should be offered no authority in voicing who is and is not an actual terrorist, if for no other reason than they have each demonstrated a lack of competence in these respective actions.

Notably, in Netanyahu’s speech before the UN, in his speech at the October 7 remembrance, and in his interviews with Mark Levin and even his discussion on the new Security Doctrine, he made reference to the concern of the Hilltop Youth as if they were some form of national emergency plaguing the land without any mention in any of these events of the expanding terrorism taking place in Judea and Samaria which is at the hands of Arabs not Jews.  Importantly Netanyahu did make reference to the need to wait for the details to be determined before rushing to judgement in the incident including a Washington Post reporter, but this belies the tragedy which he offered our enemies in voicing concern over the Hilltop Youth selectively over and over again.  This was a great victory to our enemies, and added to the recriminations waged against Israel even by its American allies, despite these recriminations being based entirely on the same form of rush to judgement which Netanyahu finally chastised the world from doing in the case of the Washington Post reporter.

“There’s been enough,” the president told reporters. “It’s time to stop now.”

Explaining the Geyser of Jew-Hatred

Peloni (Aug 2025):  The spectrum of Jew Hatred is broad in its origin, specific in its target, and devastating in its effect.  It is the Oldest Hatred, and rises in every generation to divide our people, to subject us to inconceivable horrors, and to diminish our numbers…and yet we persist and will continue to meet this challenge in every age.  As Joan’s well described cypher of Jew Hatred explains, our opposition is broad and unrelenting, and continues to frustrate our enemies in their historic failures to drive us from this world.

Peloni:  (October 2026): In the 14 months since this article was first published, the truths it shares have only come to be more relevant an more revealing with time.

Netanyahu presents new security doctrine in first Israeli press briefing since Oct 7

UPDATE:  Benny Gantz withdraws from the election race.

PELONI:  October 7 changed everything, and among the aspects of Israeli society involved in that change, Netanyahu is today offering the public an opportunity to fully grasp the long range of Netanyahu’s strategic posture for the future, making it a pivotal point on which the coming election will hinge.  Notably, Eisenkot and his Leftist colleagues can weigh in on this strategy with their own support or opposition, but the reason that Eisenkot has not voiced a clear message on what would be changed in Israel’s policies from that of Netanyahu was not a point of error but intentional omission.  That omission is today being brought into full light with this disclosure by Netanyahu.  I encourage everyone to read the full transcript below.  The video was 45 minutes long, so the transcript is not short, but it is well worth being scrutinized.

One Flag, Every Protest: France and How the Palestinian Cause Went from the Radical Fringe to the Mainstream

PELONI:  The Jihadist movement is not exclusively targeting Israel.  Instead it has its sights set on subjugating the entire Western world.  The means of this conquest has alternative two tracts, one from Shia Iran and the other from their Sunni cousins.  As the Shia tract has been seriously subdued, though not yet vanquished, it is important to recognize that the Muslim Brotherhood and its many associates across the globe represent a sizeable threat, even as many in the West see them as a form of salvation from Western decline when in fact they are the opposite of this.   Jihad is now marching across Europe on the back of the migration throngs motivated by the same chants which were claimed to represent Palestinian nationalism when in fact, these chants represent nothing more substantive than simply Jihad.  Today that Jihad is marching in Paris and Europe…and America is next.

The Palestinian flag has evolved from a symbol of armed struggle into a universal banner of protest, reflecting a broader assault on Western civilization.

Since September, French pupils have blockaded hundreds of schools over teacher shortages, overcrowded classrooms and crumbling buildings. On 17 October, some 550,000 people marched across France against the rising cost of living. In Paris, a car was set alight and a Chanel boutique was looted. On paper, this is a story about wages and classrooms. It is not.

How Obama’s warped, insidious narrative distorts historical fact

In Belfast, Obama repeated a dishonest, mendacious, and vile charge while concealing the evidence needed to judge it – because that evidence would refute it. Opinion.

Former US president Barack Obama’s reported statement in Belfast on October 13 that Jews “took land off people” lends his authority to a false and malicious charge long directed against Israel. The accusation invites listeners to regard the Jewish national home as property seized by intruders. The historical record presents a very different account of a people’s return to its homeland and the international recognition of that return.[1]

TUCKER CARLSON AND ADOLF HITLER AND THEIR LOVE OF DOGS

AUTOCRATIC APOLOGIA: THE INVERSION OF TRUTH  AND THE ARCHITECTURE OF OBSESSION

Harry Liberman

Before Adolf Hitler was a dictator, he was an unheralded propaganda speaker experimenting with the volatile emotions of Munich’s beer halls. His path from obscurity to nationwide fame did not rely on a brilliant political manifesto; rather, it was engineered by systematically weaponizing antisemitism to manipulate a traumatized, post-war public. By framing the Jewish minority as a singular, all-encompassing enemy, he discovered a dark but highly effective formula for political fame, leveraging a theatrical feedback loop of calculated interruptions, frenzied applause, and aggressive slogans that turned localized economic grievances into a national tragedy. United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

A Peep into Current Palestinian Thinking, Planning, and Intentions.

PELONI:  The Peace Processors were relying heavily on an election in the PA to establish that ‘reforms’ had been implemented in the well corrupted, ever incompetent, and thoroughly duplicitous Fatah leadership, but even under considerable pressure from the Americans, Abu Mazen demonstrated once again that he has no choice but to disappoint the best efforts of the Peace Processors.  It will be interesting to see how this is internalized by Washington.  Regarding the survey results which Barry Shaw discusses below, it seems impossible for the Pals to find any non-terrorist to support in their still delayed (read as cancelled til further notice) elections.  While the survey findings suggest that negotiations are preferred by a plurality, their preferred choice of leadership would seem to suggest something else.  Indeed, has there not been enough negotiations with terrorists?

Egyptian parliament weighs vote on authorising troop deployment to defend Saudi Arabia from Houthis

Any Egyptian military backing for Saudi Arabia could mark a major escalation in the wider Iran war, which has threatened global energy supplies and sent oil prices soaring.

Egypt’s parliament is holding sessions to discuss authorizing the deployment of forces to support Saudi Arabia against the Houthis. The parliament has apparently been called in to discuss this in order to show that the government has a broad mandate. If such a mandate is not achieved, then the government can point to parliament as a reason for its hesitancy.
