Kushner’s Peace Plan Would Turn Jordan Upside Down

T. Belman. The author says jordan has rejected Kushner’s move to force Jordan to naturalize its refugees because “Jordan’s monarchy is not willing to commit national suicide just to please Washington.”

Exactly.

If the Trump administration seeks to strip Palestinian refugees of their status, it will destabilize one of America’s closest allies in the region.

The Trump administration’s attempt to pressure Jordan to strip its Palestinian refugees of their status struck a nerve in the kingdom at a time of unprecedented economic and political turbulence. In presenting their ill-conceived plan to Jordanian officials, U.S. peace negotiators Jared Kushner and Jason Greenblatt have demonstrated a bias and ineptitude that will derail Washington’s self-proclaimed peace plan and further undermine U.S. credibility in the Middle East.

The Success of Israeli Nationalism

By Steve Sailor, TAKIMAG

Israel is one of the intellectually freer nations, which helps explain how an Israeli political philosopher, Yoram Hazony, has suddenly established himself as perhaps the most interesting thinker of the post–Merkel’s Mistake era with his spectacular new book, The Virtue of Nationalism.

With Israel being nationalism’s prime success story in recent decades, this Israeli nationalist is well positioned to offer a resounding intellectual justification to his fellow nationalists in America, Britain, and the Netherlands. Israel is one of the rare nation-states where nationalism is not demonized by elites, so its defense attracts more elite talent than in the West. Hazony explains:

The speech I never gave

Sweden’s Islamic invasion catalyzed by the death of free speech.

By Bruce Bawer, FPM

A few prefatory words: I was invited to give a talk in Gothenburg, Sweden, on Saturday, September 29, as part of an “Alternative Book Fair.” The Gothenburg Book Fair was being held that weekend, and the point of the alternative event was to highlight books – mostly about Islam, I gathered – that the official fair had rejected. I was asked to talk about freedom of speech, a freedom that is in increasingly short supply in Sweden, as elsewhere in Western Europe. As if to prove the point, civic officials – at the urging of police, who were spooked by Antifa threats – banned the “Alternative Book Fair.” Here’s what I planned to say.

When I was twenty years old, there was a famous free-speech case in the state of Illinois. Nazis wanted to march in a Chicago suburb called Skokie, which had a large population of Jews, many of them Holocaust survivors. Skokie sued successfully in county court to prevent the march. The Nazis, with the help of the American Civil Liberties Union, took the case to the state appellate court and the Illinois Supreme Court. Long story short, after the case had gone to the United States Supreme Court, the Nazis were allowed to march.

Singer: Jordan enclave in West Bank could be Trump’s “two-state” solution

T. Belman. The above title is misleading. Jordan  and Israel are the two-states.  Singer is moving closer and closer to my plan. He may or may not be suggesting Jordanian sovereignty over Area As. I am against Jordanian sovereignty over these lands. Israel should be sovereign and should have the right to legislate regarding them and also the right to enter for security reasons.

What I envisage is that Jordan replaces the PA as the administrator.  Whether Jordanian law should apply rather than Israel law is worthy of consideration. Just as American expats vote in US elections, it is entirely up to Jordan to enable Palestinians in Area As to also vote in Jordan elections.

He still insists that the king will agree to such a plan. I don’t believe it for a second. Besides there are many reasons to replace him.

By David Singer

Creating another Palestinian Arab state – in addition to Jordan – has been seemingly consigned to the garbage bin of history following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s CNN interview on 28 September.

President Trump had just told Netanyahu on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly:

“I like two-state solution. I like two-state solution. That’s what I think works best. I don’t even have to speak to anybody, that’s my feeling.”

When asked if he was prepared to commit to a two-state solution – Netanyahu told his CNN interviewer:

INTO THE FRAY: Obsessing over Oslo – Einat Wilf in “The Atlantic”

By Martin Sherman, IISS

Wilf seems oblivious to “pesky details” such as the murderous terror unleashed by the Palestinians, their Judeophobic indoctrination and Judeocidal incitement, as “grand obstacles to peace”

Hear this, O foolish and senseless people, who have eyes, but see not, who have ears, but hear notJeremiah 5:21

There Are None So Blind As Those Who Will Not See – traced to John Heywood (1497 – c. 1580)

Fair-minded, rational human beings might surely been excused for believing that the “jury is no longer out” on the land-for-peace doctrine and its “two-state” corollary.

Caroline Glick: Trump Speech at U.N. Restored U.S. Leadership

By Caroline Glick, BREITBART

In the tumult of the circus surrounding Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination, little attention was paid to President Donald Trump’s speech last week before the United Nations.

This is a shame, because his address last week was arguably the most significant foreign policy address any U.S. president has delivered since the end of the Cold War.

Many of Trump’s critics insist his view of the world rejects the liberal world order America has led and defended since the end of World War II. But that assessment misconstrues Trump’s world view. Indeed, that ignores it.

Partisan battle erupts over findings in FBI report on Kavanaugh sexual misconduct allegations

By Denis Slaterry, NY DAILY NEWS

Partisan battle erupts over findings in FBI report on Kavanaugh sexual misconduct allegations

Republican lawmakers have made up their minds — and Democrats slammed the FBI’s report into sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh as a sham.

The controversial five-day FBI investigation “found no hint of misconduct,” Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said Thursday as Senators scoured the supplementary report sent to Capitol Hill.

“I’ve now received a committee staff briefing on the FBI’s supplement to Judge Kavanaugh’s background investigation file. There’s nothing in it that we didn’t already know,” Grassley said in a statement.

Germany aligns with our Palestinian enemy

By Eldad Beck, ISRAEL HAYOM

In March 2008, German Chancellor Angela Merkel addressed the Knesset and unequivocally stated that Israel’s right to exist and its security are part of Germany’s supreme national interest.

Does Germany stand with Israel because of a sense of historic obligation to preserve the memory of the terrible crime committed by the Germans against the Jewish people, and recognizes the right of the Jews living in Israel to determine their own fate on the basis of that terrible historical memory

Or is it that Germany is perhaps assuming the right to decide for the Jewish people in the land of Israel what its future will be

Success: UCI preparing to refer anti-Israel disrupters to prosecution

Once a student filed a police complaint against those who disrupted a panel including israeli Reservists on Duty, the ball began to roll.

By Edwin Black, INN

Campus police at University of California, Irvine will in the near future refer anti-Israeli event disruptors of a May 3, 2018 pro-Israel event to Orange County prosecutors, according to a UCI spokesperson. Referral will occur, says the spokesperson, as soon as the campus police investigation concludes.

If so, UCI will be the second UC campus, after UCLA, to refer loud and raucous anti-Israel disruptors to prosecutors for violation of California’s statutes prohibiting disruption of public meetings, disturbing the peace, and conspiracy to do either.

New Israel Fund helps families of terrorists

The New Israel Fund supports assistance to terrorists, this time funneling its funds through Hamoked.

By Ronn Torossian, INN

On January 4, 2017, a Palestinian-Arab terrorist drove a truck into a group of Israeli soldiers, killing four and injuring 17 others. The attack was immediately identified as terrorism, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the scene of the attack and said the perpetrator was “by all indications a supporter of the Islamic State.”

Fast forward to October 2018, Israel decided to expel the terrorist’s family from Israel, as they have links to ISIS, are not citizens and present a security concern.  Opposing the state in court is Hamoked, an organization supported by the New Israel Fund, which assisted the relatives of the terrorist to petition against their deportation from Israel.

NEW YORK — The New York Times reported Tuesday that US President Donald Trump received at least $413 million from his father over the decades, much of that through dubious tax dodges, including outright fraud.

The 15,000-word Times report contradicts Trump’s portrayal of himself as a self-made billionaire who started with just a $1 million loan from his father.

The Times said Trump and his father, Fred, avoided gift and inheritance taxes by setting up a sham corporation and undervaluing assets to tax authorities. The Times said its report is based on more than 100,000 pages of financial documents, including confidential tax returns from the father and his companies.

American Jews: Doomed to a Thin Culture with No Future?

To avoid that fate, rabbis and synagogues might begin by acknowledging where and how Judaism differs, and proceed from there.

By Jack Wertheimer, MOSAIC

Stephen Osman/Los Angeles Times via Getty Images.

My thanks to Lawrence A. Hoffman, Elliot Cosgrove, and Christine Rosen for their thoughtful responses to my essay, “The New High Holy Days.” My comments here proceed in reverse order of the responses’ sequential appearance in Mosaic.

Writing as an outsider, albeit one who has attended Jewish High Holy Day services and has written extensively on religious life in America, Christine Rosen offers a valuable comparative framework. As she notes at the outset, the phenomenon of once-a-year Jews has its counterparts among so-called “C&E Christians” or “Chreasters.”

Germany is our enemy in many ways

By Ted Belman

JPOST reports today,

German Chancellor Angela Merkel will cancel her visit to Israel if the Bedouin village of Khan al-Ahmar is evacuated before the beginning of her trip, Army Radio reported on Wednesday morning.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and a number of her ministers are scheduled to arrive on Wednesday evening for a government-to-government meeting that was postponed for nearly a year and a half because of disagreements over Israel’s settlement policies and approach to the Palestinians.

The hidden agenda behind ‘climate change’

By John Eidson, AMERICAN THINKER

In comments that laid bare the hidden agenda behind global warming alarmism, Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of the U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, let slip during a February 2015 press conference in Brussels that the U.N.’s real purpose in pushing climate hysteria is to end capitalism throughout the world:

This is the first time in human history that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally changing [getting rid of] the economic development model that has reigned since the Industrial Revolution.

The economic model to which she referred is free-market capitalism.  A year earlier, Figueres revealed what capitalism must be replaced with when she complained that America’s two-party constitutional system is hampering the U.N.’s climate objectives.  She went on to cite China’s communist system as the kind of government America must have if the U.N. is to impose its environmental will on the world’s most free and prosperous capitalist nation.  In other words, for the U.N. to have its way, America must somehow be transformed into a communist nation.

Jordan will not obtain sovereignty over any land west of the Jordan R.

By Ted Belman

David Singer’s latest article, Jordan-“West Bank’ reconciliation is in the air”, includes the following:

“Jordan’s retirement from the West Bank moved Abu Iyad – PLO-leader Yassar Arafat’s deputy – to declare on 15 December 1989:

“I say that on the day immediately following the establishment of the Palestinian State, we will begin unity with Abu Iyad, 1989: You cannot make a distinction between a Jordanian and a Palestinian.

“We will begin unity with Jordan. I am not concerned what kind of unity this may be, because we are one people and have the same history. You cannot make a distinction between a Jordanian and a Palestinian. It is true that we encourage unity between Arab peoples, but the relation between Jordan and Palestine in particular is clearly distinctive; all those who tried in the past and are still trying to create divisions between the Jordanian and Palestinian people have failed. We indeed constitute one people… when the Palestinian state and unity is established … The Jordanian will be a Palestinian and the Palestinian a Jordanian”

Islamic Center of Detroit Conference Will Damage Michigan Muslim Community

By Alex VanNess, CLARION PROJECT

The Islamic Center of Detroit conference will damage the Michigan Muslim community by giving the stage to a panel pro-extremist speakers. The Islamic Center of Detroit (ICD) recently announced their first Muslim Revival Conference 2018: Reconnect. The stated goal of the conference is “to inspire positive change within the Michigan Muslim community.”

The ICD has strong Muslim Brotherhood connections.  The mosque has co-hosted events with Muslim Brotherhood affiliated groups, such as the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), and American Muslims for Palestine (AMP).  AMP has a history of employing terrorist financiers, with at least five AMP officials previously served with the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood’s pro-Hamas Palestine Committee and CAIR was identified as a Muslim Brotherhood entity from evidence presented at the Holy Land Foundation trial.

Fearful that Trump “is willing to destroy the world”, Soros has vowed to “redouble [his] efforts” in pouring millions of dollars into opposing everything Trump stands for.
