AIPAC sent the memo below to all congressional offices on Wednesday

T. Belman. I am pleseantly surprised with AIPAC’S message.

In Context: The Recent Violence in Gaza

Coverage of the recent conflict on the Gaza border often lacks context. For the past seven weeks, Hamas has used “nonviolent protests” to attempt to overrun Israel’s border and kill its civilians, and it is Hamas that bears responsibility for the recent bloodshed. Tragically, innocent people were killed and injured in the violence. Unfortunately, the terrorist group prefers to sacrifice the people of Gaza over pursuing peaceful coexistence with Israel. Hamas’s ongoing terrorism—including the destruction of humanitarian infrastructure—makes clear the terror group does not seek a better life for the people of Gaza. Read more…

I was at the Gaza border. We did all we could to avoid killing.

By Kinley Tur- Paz, TOI

m writing this for my good friends, my moral humane friends, and for all those who are concerned and angry over the Palestinians killed and injured on the border with Gaza.

In the biblical Exodus from Egypt, when the Egyptian army drowned in the Red Sea just before overtaking the Israelites, our sages say that God prevented the angels from singing and rejoicing, scolding them with the words “my creations are drowning in the sea and you are singing?!”

I write these words with great caution, and from a sense of mission. I can understand and identify with all of those good and moral Zionists who fear that the many Palestinian victims may be our fault, the result of mistakes made by our side. I’m writing because I am one of the few who was there, in uniform, in the reserves, but I was there. Yes, right there on the fence where the demonstrations are happening. It was last Friday, but I saw it with my own eyes; I was on our side of the fence but I could see and hear and understand everything. I want to testify from my firsthand knowledge, not a theoretical point of view. Because I was there.

Iran: Trump Would Not Allow History to Repeat Itself

By Alex Markovsky, AMERICAN THINKER

Announcing the United States’ withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal, President Donald Trump described the agreement with Iran as “the worst” agreement ever negotiated. A short trip through history reveals that it may not be “the worst,” but certainly is not the first of this nature.

“History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce,” famously said Karl Marx. He proved to be wrong. History keeps repeating itself as tragedy after tragedy because we stubbornly refuse to learn from it.

British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli returned from Berlin in 1878 stating, “I have returned from Germany with peace for our time.” That peace ended with World War I. Sixty years later, another British statesman Neville Chamberlain proclaimed “peace for our time” after signing an agreement with Hitler in Munich in 1938. The agreement was praised and celebrated in Europe and across the Atlantic. In a letter to Canadian Prime Minister Mackenzie King, President Franklin Roosevelt wrote, “I can assure you that we in the United States rejoice with you and the world at large, that the outbreak of war was averted.” The New York Daily News declared, “Hitler has made a significant gesture toward peace.” That “significant gesture toward peace” ended up with World War II and fifty million dead, including six million Jews.

Does the world really care about the Palestinians?

Instead of a true concern for their well being, the Palestinian people often seem to be used as a weapon to delegitimize Israel.

Since 2012 an estimated 3,720 Palestinians have been killed, 1,674 imprisoned, 309 have gone missing and at least 120,000 have been displaced. Their territory has been blockaded by the army; forcing them to live without food, water, electricity and medical services. It has been reported that people were forced to eat grass, dogs and cats to survive, with around 200 people dying of starvation. An assault on their territory on April 24 of this year was relentless, with warplanes carrying out more than 85 air-strikes, firing a barrage of missiles and dropping barrel bombs that killed indiscriminately, not distinguishing between civilians and armed insurgents. Hospitals were targeted and destroyed.

Trudeau calling for independent probe of reported use of ‘excessive force’ in Gaza shootings

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s statement goes a step further — in both tone and content — than past comments

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is calling for answers after a Canadian doctor was among hundreds injured in a violent clash at the Gaza border Monday, while condemning what he calls an “excessive use of force.”

Two days after a bloody encounter with Israeli soldiers killed more than 50 Palestinians and wounded many more, Trudeau issued a statement to the parliamentary press gallery Wednesday demanding Israel’s leaders explain how a London, Ont. doctor tending to injured protesters was caught in the crossfire — while throwing his support behind calls for an independent investigation.

Pence: “By recognizing Jerusalem, we chose fact over fiction.”

Ted. Belman. In Pres Trump’s speech in which he recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital six months ago, he said “This is nothing more or less than a recognition of reality,”. Pence similarly chose “fact over fiction”. In effect they were freeing themselves from the Palestinian narrative which is pure fiction. We have been prevented from achieving peace in the past because we had elevated this fictional narrative to a competing narrative. Henceforth, truth and reality will hold sway. The Jordan Option becomes the logical choice.

Vice President welcomes embassy relocation, vows the U.S. will never allow Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon.

By Ben Ariel, INN

U.S. Vice President Mike Pence on Monday night delivered remarks at an event celebrating Israel’s 70th Independence Day at the Israeli embassy in Washington, DC.

Pence welcomed the relocation of the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, noting that President Trump “has made history now. Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, almost exactly 70 years to the minute since the rebirth of the Jewish State, the American Embassy officially opened in Jerusalem, the capital of the State of Israel!”

“By finally recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, the United States has chosen fact over fiction – and fact is the only true foundation for a just and lasting peace. And as President Trump made clear this morning, ‘our greatest hope is for peace,’” he continued.

ANALYSIS: With nuke deal decision, Trump opts for regime change

There were 450 anti-regime protests in 30 Iranian provinces in April alone.

By Yochanan Visser, INN

[..]

By ditching U.S. participation in the JCPOA Trump is effectively upping the pressure on the fanatical Islamist regime in Iran.

This is why the President ended his announcement last Tuesday by directly addressing the people of Iran.

“The future of Iran belongs to its people. There has been enough suffering, death and destruction- let it end now,” Trump said.

Israel educator Nevet Basker summed it up in one Tweet.

Under the JCPOA “Iran pursues nukes with international legitimization and funding,” Basker wrote.

Now comes Trump and introduces what she called “Plan B.”

The Arabs are the Palestinians’ worst enemy

By Valarie Greenfield, AMERICAN THINKER

As Israel celebrates 70 years of independence, Palestinian protest and mayhem have become increasingly violent. Hamas, an ally of Iran, is paying Palestinians, who are hurling burning tires, catapulting rocks, and flying kite-bombs attempting to destroy the border fence and the land beyond that is protecting Israel from the Gaza Strip. The annual Palestinian commemoration of the naqaba, or “catastrophe,” ignites Palestinian rage based on the historical fact that Israel exists. This political public relations protest called “The Great March of Return” serves to teach the next generation of Palestinians the false narrative that “returning” to Israel is their “inalienable right.”

Even though 97% of Palestinians have never even seen the villages where they demand to “return” because the 4th, 5th, and 6th generations depended on those who chose to immigrate during the war of independence, as it is common during war. But it is uncommon for the 5th generations to claim ownership of a land their forefathers abandoned.

Trump Administration Readying Israeli-Palestinian Peace Plan

Ted Belman. First of all, if the US was talking to Mudar, it wouldn’t be talking to the world about it.

Secondly, it would be carrying on business as usual.

Ahead of Jerusalem embassy opening, officials disclose peace plan progress

By Adam Kredo, FREE BEACON

The United States is in the “late phases” of finalizing its Israeli-Palestinian peace plan that will be presented to both parties for consideration, according to a senior White House official, who discussed progress on the matter ahead of a massive celebration in Israel to open the new U.S. embassy in Jerusalem.

Festivities surrounding the opening of the new U.S. embassy building in Jerusalem kicked off in “grand fashion” over the weekend and will spill into Monday afternoon when U.S, Israeli, and international diplomats gather to formally open the new embassy building, according to senior administration officials.

The U.S. presidential delegation touched down in Israel Sunday afternoon and quickly entered into a series of celebrations and bilateral meetings with Israeli officials. At a dinner organized by the Friends of Zion Museum, U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman and senior presidential adviser Jared Kushner, also the president’s son-in-law, were presented awards for their efforts to spearhead the embassy move.

There is no right of return. Never was. Never will be.

By Ted Belman

This is true regardless if the Arabs fled the land west of the Jordan River, voluntarily or otherwise.

UNGA Res 194, which the Arabs allege gave them the right, did no such thing. Firstly, it is a non-binding resolution and secondly, its wording was not mandatory. It resolved that:

“refugees wishing to return to their homes and live at peace with their neighbours should be permitted to do so at the earliest practicable date, and that compensation should be paid for the property of those choosing not to return and for loss of or damage to property which, under principles of international law boor equity, should be made good by the Governments or authorities responsible.”

I should point out that at the same time the UNGA passed this resolution it had nothing to say about the expulsion of 14 million Germans from eastern
Europe.

Also the Armistice Agreement which was signed a few months later, made no mention of the “right of return” or the Arabs who fled.

The US Embassy move: A powerful message America will stand by our friends

I have long advocated that the United States take this action, and I commend President Trump for fulfilling this campaign promise.

By Sen. Ted Cruz, JPOST

Exactly 70 years ago – on May 14th, 1948 – Israel’s founding father David Ben-Gurion brought together members of the Jewish People’s Council in the Tel Aviv Museum.

The Zionist movement to rebirth a Jewish state had already been at work for decades. That day Ben-Gurion stood underneath a portrait of the pioneer of that movement, Theodore Herzl, and affirmed the historic right of the Jewish people to the land of Israel.

‘The Land of Israel was the birthplace of the Jewish people. Here their spiritual, religious and political identity was shaped. Here they first attained to statehood, created cultural values of national and universal significance and gave to the world the eternal Book of Books.

“Regime Change in Iran Is Inevitable” An Interview

Global Review (Germany)

http://www.danielpipes.org/18335/regime-change-in-iran-is-inevitable

Global Review: After pulling out of the Iran deal, Trump stated his hope for a new agreement with Tehran that prohibits its acquiring nuclear arms, ends its missile development, and stops its aggression in the Middle East. Will the Iranian regime accept these conditions? Is a compromise possible?

Daniel Pipes: Iranian leaders will not accept these terms and no compromise is possible. But Tehran may maintain the terms of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action to keep the Europeans happy and to continue with trade.

Global Review: What about regime change in Iran?

America’s Secret Weapon Against Iran

By: Ronald Kessler, NEWSMAX

OCT 2012

Ronald Kessler reporting from Washington, D.C. — Ignored by the media, the U.S. Air Force last month successfully tested a missile that permanently zaps electronics without killing people or damaging buildings.
The Boeing missile emits high power microwaves (HPM) that fry computer chips so that no electronic devices targeted by the missile can operate. Called the Counter-Electronics High Power Microwave Advanced Missile Project (CHAMP), the missile was built by Boeing’s Phantom Works for the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory at a cost of $38 million.

On Oct. 16, when most of us were watching the first presidential debate, the missile flew over a two-story building on the Utah Test and Firing Range. The building in the west Utah desert was pulsing with computers and security and surveillance systems. The microwaves took down the compound’s entire spectrum of electronic systems, including video cameras filming the test, without damaging anything else.

“We hit every target we wanted to,” Boeing’s CHAMP program manager Keith Colman said in a company press release. “Today we made science fiction into science fact.”
Until the announcement on Oct. 22, the project had been shrouded in secrecy. And beyond a few trade publications, no one in the media has since seen fit to run the story.

McCarthyism and Muellerism: Mockeries of American Justice

By Linda Goudsmit, PUNDICITY

War makes strange bedfellows. The United States and Russia were allied against Nazi Germany in WWII until they weren’t. The alliance continued until it succeeded in defeating Nazi Germany and then the diametrically opposed economic and political ideologies of Russian communism and American capitalism reverted the countries to enmity again.

The convenient ideological “My enemy’s enemy is my friend” alliance collapsed and the Cold War between Russia and the United States began.

Trump’s withdrawal from Iran deal far more consequential than many realize

By Rick Moran, AMERICAN THINKER

If you’ve been following the reaction in the press to Donald Trump’s withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal, you would think the most important issue is war or peace with the Iranians.  Scuttling the deal, many are saying, will force Iran to “restart” its nuclear enrichment program (that it only paused anyway), which will force the U.S. to engage Iran militarily to stop the Iranians.

Whether Iran goes back to open enrichment of uranium is not the primary question.  What matters is that exiting the deal leaves the U.S. perfectly free to ratchet up the pressure on an already feeble Iranian economy and openly assist elements in Iran who want regime change.

A new American-Israel-Arab Alliance in the ME

Amidst all the noise, we must keep our eyes on what’s important and focus on a broader strategy which addresses Iran’s illicit nuclear and non-nuclear activities hand-in-hand with our allies.

BY Joshua S Block, JPOST

May 8, 2018 – the day US President Donald Trump announced that he’s pulling America out of the nuclear deal with Iran – will mark the inauguration of a new American- Israeli-Arab alliance in the Middle East and a major realignment of US strategic interests.

The administration had extended waivers on Iran’s nuclear sanctions on multiple occasions to allow for the US, together with our partners, to fix the fatal flaws of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. Unfortunately, European leaders failed to commit to sufficiently meaningful amendments, especially on the most important element – the sunset clauses of the accord – as well as verification mechanisms, ballistic missiles and development of advanced centrifuges, leaving the current Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (Iran deal) fatally flawed.

Trump dumps the PLO/PA

T. Belman. Read this very carefully. Pompeo refers to a deal between two parties. He also said working closely with Jordan and the Jordanian people and a deal between Israelis and the Palestinian people (not the PA or PLO). This tells you almost everything you need to know.

Singer thinks Pompeo means he is working with the King. I don’t think so. The king is too problematic.

Trump – the master deal-maker – may  have just pulled another rabbit out of his magic hat.

By David Singer, INN

President Trump’s possibly soon-to-released proposal on resolving the Jewish-Arab conflict will be more readily achievable following the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) confirming it will not participate in implementing Trump’s peace plans.

Secretary General of the PLO Executive Committee Saeb Erekat led the charge:

“No one will deceive us and we will not fall into the illusion that the United States can have any balanced ideas that could lyead to the achievement of a real and just peace. Washington has become part of the problem and not the solution”

Study says Polish neighbours betrayed more Jews than previously thought

Two thirds of the local Jews who hid there fre Nazis did not survive the war, mostly because of the actions of their non-Jewish neighbors, reports a nom thew study.

JTA

According to new research done in Poland, two thirds of the local Jews who hid there from the Nazis did not survive the war, mostly because of the actions of their non-Jewish neighbors.

The figure comes from a two-volume work of 1,600 pages that historians from the Warsaw-based Center for Research on Holocaust of Jews have compiled over the past five years. It covers nine out of Poland’s 13 regions, the Tok FM radio station reported Sunday.

Arriving amid a polarizing debate in Poland over a law that limits rhetoric on Polish complicity in the Holocaust, the study suggests Poles are responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths by Jews in the Holocaust — a figure that is significantly higher than previous estimates.
