Unlikely Alliance Eyes Bannon Takedown in the White House

Two generals, an outside bomb-thrower, and a Never-Trump columnist take aim at president’s top strategist

By Jim Stinson, LIFEZETTE

Steve Bannon, one of President Donald Trump’s top political advisers, is facing a concerted effort to oust him from the White House, led by an unlikely cast of detractors.

Bannon’s principal adversaries are the two generals most closely advising Trump: John Kelly, Trump’s chief of staff, and H.R. McMaster, Trump’s national security adviser. But in conversations with various figures in and around the White House, it appears the pair are getting help from unlikely sources, ranging from Trump’s longtime friend Roger Stone to National Review magazine.

The Rise of the Violent Left

Antifa’s activists say they’re battling burgeoning authoritarianism on the American right. Are they fueling it instead?

By Peter Beinart, ATLANTIC

Since 1907, portland, oregon, has hosted an annual Rose Festival. Since 2007, the festival had included a parade down 82nd Avenue. Since 2013, the Republican Party of Multnomah County, which includes Portland, had taken part. This April, all of that changed.

In the days leading up to the planned parade, a group called the Direct Action Alliance declared, “Fascists plan to march through the streets,” and warned, “Nazis will not march through Portland unopposed.” The alliance said it didn’t object to the Multnomah GOP itself, but to “fascists” who planned to infiltrate its ranks. Yet it also denounced marchers with “Trump flags” and “red maga hats” who could “normalize support for an orange man who bragged about sexually harassing women and who is waging a war of hate, racism and prejudice.” A second group, Oregon Students Empowered, created a Facebook page called “Shut down fascism! No nazis in Portland!”

Pres Trump is not the story

By Ted Belman

I spent the morning defending myself from an irate leftist, who considers herself morally superior, and who was attacking me for defending Trump’s failure to call out the KKK etc by name and for not wanting to destroy the KKK and the Nazis. In short she thought that I was despicable. Then she cut off the conversation in disgust. I said you can’t accuse me of being despicable and deny me the right to defend myself, so, I tried to keep the conversation going but got no reply. She must have retreated to a safe space.

During our exchange, I pointed out that the Courts had granted the Right to hold the rally against the protestations of the Democratic mayor. The Right had the right to be there, Then I pointed out that the Antifa and BLM came to the rally with offensive weapons intending to end the rally with violence. My interlocutor condoned this as she felt the extreme Right had to be stopped from exercising their first Amendment right and that they shouldn’t have such a right. So I said if you want to censure free speech by amending the law, we can talk about that. But we never did.

I found time to listen to three Rebel Media videos and posted them. Don’t miss any of them.

Trump Is Right About Coal

By Scott Belinsky, OIL PRICE

In the six months since becoming president of the United States, Donald Trump has markedly shifted the global conversation on the long-term viability of fossil fuels. The recent announcement that the U.S. would use its seat on the board of the UN’s Green Climate Fund to promote the construction of clean coal power plants across the globe, represents the administration’s stated intent to use its influence in a range of global energy and climate bodies to promote carbon capture technologies. Despite withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement less than two years after it was signed, the Trump administration has managed to stay on as a global energy player by changing the outlook on a resource that is crucial to the developing world: coal.

Tear-up JCPOA!

by Dr. Peter Vincent, FSM

Critics of the Iran nuclear deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action (JCPOA), argue for withdrawal based mostly on issues peripheral to JCPOA.

For example, critics argue Iran has disappointed U.S. expectations that Iran would no longer support international terrorism or work to destabilize neighboring countries or threaten the United States.

While these were U.S. expectations, there is no legally binding language in the JCPOA requiring Iran to change its international behavior.

Kurdish Media Highlights Israeli Support for Independence Drive as Iran Fumes

By Ben Cohen, ALGEMEINER

Kurdish media outlets reported favorably on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s support for Kurdish independence on Monday, highlighting the fact that his position is shared by several other leading Israeli officials.

Last week, Netanyahu told a delegation of 33 Republican Congressmen visiting Israel that the Kurds are “brave, pro-Western people who share our values,” expressing support for an independent Kurdish state. On September 25, voters in the Kurdistan region of Iraq will cast their ballots in a long-awaited independence referendum.

What Rebel Media stands for

Ezra Levant’s staff memo on the alt-right

This weekend our reporter Faith Goldy covered the alt-right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. She also covered the leftist response to it, and was reporting from the midst of a leftist counter-protest at the moment someone rammed their car into the crowd.

You can see her livestreaming video here, with the attack at about 2:30 minutes in.

The events in Charlottesville, and our coverage of them, have become fodder for our critics, who are desperate to paint us as racist or even neo-Nazi.

It’s bizarre — I’m a proud Jew myself, and we have people of a variety of races and backgrounds working with us.

ZOA’s Klein Agrees to Amb. Friedman’s Request- Listen to Concerns About ZOA Opposition to McMaster/Tillerson Policies and Actions

ZOA

ZOA president Morton A Klein released the following statement:

US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman has written to the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) of his concerns about the ZOA’s opposition to National Security Council Chair Lt. General H.R. McMaster and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s actions and policy positions on Israel, Iran, and radical Islamic terrorism.

In a letter to ZOA president Morton A Klein, Amb. Friedman wrote, “Dear Mort, As you know, I have the highest regard for the work of ZOA and for you personally. I am constrained to point out, however, my belief that ZOA was mistaken in its recent call for the resignation or reassignment of two people with whom I work closely, Secretary Tillerson and General McMaster…”

It’s revealing that many extreme anti-Israel, pro-Iran Deal leftists defend McMaster while many who are strongly pro-Israel, anti-Iran Deal criticize him.

ZOA admires and respects Amb. Friedman as a brilliant, clear thinking, and courageous supporter of a strong America and of a strong and mutually beneficial US-Israel relationship. Amb. Friedman’s love of America, Israel and the Jewish people are unassailable. That’s why I and ZOA unequivocally and publicly supported Amb. Friedman’s nomination from the very beginning while others were wrongly silent or critical.

Pres Trump’s huge record of accomplishments

By Joan Swirsky

In mid-May, I wrote an article entitled The Juggernaut & the Jerks, which spelled out the stupendous accomplishments of President Donald Trump in his first three months in office. The response was tremendous, many people thanking me for bringing to their attention hundreds of the president’s achievements they had never heard of or read about or seen on TV. They agreed with my description of the president as a virtual unstoppable juggernaut and that members of the media were indeed a bunch of jerks.

Well, whaddaya know? Plus ca change, plus la meme chose! Now that the juggernaut president has just passed his 200th day in office, he is still going at warp speed in chalking up significant accomplishments and, at the same time, draining both the national and international swamplands that have contaminated our politics for decades, and the media are still spewing out fake news and fake polls in their desperate but impotent attempts to derail the unstoppable Trump Train.

Here is an impressive—but not comprehensive—list of President Trump’s accomplishments in his second three (almost four) months in office:

North Korea and Iran. The Nuclear Outcome of Strategic Patience

By Barry Shaw, CFP

While American politics are in melt down mode over the Democrats almost yearlong obsession in trying to find a scintilla of evidence with which they can hang Trump on charges of colluding with the Russians, both North Korea and Iran have been busy getting on with developing their nuclear missile programs.

North Korean President Kim Jong-Un has blatantly carried out a series of missile tests that show their capability of launching a nuclear missile strike that will put the west coast of the United States within range.

When President Trump warned North Korea of the “fire and fury, never seen before” should they test America’s patience, some Democrats and Obama hang-overs, such as Ben Rhodes, the White House Deputy National Security Secretary under President Obama, accused Trump on MSNBC of “extreme and false statements about all manner of things. It’s more concerning,” he said, “when they are about nuclear weapons.”

Warning from ex-CIA and FBI counterterrorism analyst: ‘the government is going to kill’ President Donald Trump

By Thomas Lifson, AMERICAN THINKER

The signs are all around us that the subversion and worse is afoot among those who feel that the federal government belongs to them, not to the voters of the Republic. You might even say that think of it as “our thing.”

Right out in plain sight, we were warned last week in the words of someone who worked for Robert Mueller when he was head of the FBI. It was on CNN, so few people saw it, and as CNN habitués, they may not have considered it disturbing. Nonetheless, host Jake Tapper was sufficiently alarmed to clarify whether this was a metaphor.

It was not.

Fire McMaster not Bannon

T. Belman. If McMaster wants to serve the President, he should serve the policies that got him elected.

Former Trump Adviser Says He Will ‘Blow’ McMaster, Drudge ‘The F**k Out’ If Bannon Is Ousted

By Alex Pfeiffer, DC

Sam Nunberg, a former political adviser to Donald Trump, warned Sunday of dire consequences for National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster and Matt Drudge if White House chief strategist Steve Bannon is pushed out of the West Wing.

“If Steve is fired by the White House and a bunch of generals take over the White House there will be hell to pay,” Nunberg, a longtime Trump aide who left the presidential campaign in August 2015, told The Daily Caller in an exclusive interview. His comments came after an Axios report that claimed Bannon’s job is in jeopardy due to damaging leaks against McMaster and anger over a recent book touting Bannon’s role on the Trump presidential campaign.

The Potentially Existential Threat to Israel from “Palestine”

BESA Center Perspectives Paper No. 559, August 14, 2017

By Louis Rene Beres

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: “Palestine” could present a far greater threat to Israel than a third intifada or persistent terrorism. This threat, which would further exacerbate the area’s correlation of forces, is potentially existential. Under certain circumstances, Palestinian statehood could meaningfully enlarge the prospects of both mega-terror attacks and regional nuclear war.

The measure of danger posed to Israel by a future Palestinian state is not subject to casual reflection. It can be ascertained only through the disciplined examination of proper hypotheses – conceptually, systematically, and deductively, in the manner of a scientific investigation.

An application of this process shows the threat to Israel of “Palestine” to be much greater than is typically alleged. The threat is so great, in fact, that it could ultimately prove existential.

Amidror: “McMaster is a friend of Israel” (But is he?)

T. Belman. It is easy to explain Amidror’s embrace. Even as Obama was breaking our balls diplomatically, he was taking credit for the growing support and cooperation between the US Military and the IDF. Military cooperation is at an all time high. So it would be safe to say that McMaster is a friend of the IDF. But is he a friend of Israel?

The left in Israel and the US wanted Obama to push his two-state solution involving borders based on the ’67 lines. If that is your political disposition, then you would agree with Amidror. You would even think Obama to have been a friend of Israel. Keep in mind that the IDF is very much supportive of the left policies.

But those of us on the right, are right to want the removal of McMaster for keeping the Obama people in the NSC and removing the supporters of both Trump and Israel.  We much prefer Trump to Obama and see McMaster as an Obama man in many ways.

Maj.-Gen. (res.) Yaakov Amidror and Col. (res.) Dr. Eran Lerman explain why they think US National Security Adviser Gen. (ret.) H.R. McMaster is Israel friendly.

By Yaakov Amidror, Eran Lerman, JPOST

It was sad to see scurrilous and harmful personal attacks launched by some American Jews and even a few Israelis at US National Security Adviser Gen. (ret.) H.R. McMaster. A recent column in The Jerusalem Post even called for his dismissal.

But such an attack is not mere opinion; it is an offense against the truth, against basic decency and against the best interests of Israel as we see them. In the opinion of many in the professional Israeli defense establishment who have come to know Gen. McMaster over the years, directly and indirectly, the general is a friend.

Netanyahu: ISIS out, Iran in? We won’t allow it

Netanyahu stresses Israel will not allow Iran and its proxies to take over areas vacated by ISIS.

By Nitsan Keidar, INN

Israel will not allow Iran and its proxies to take over areas vacated by the Islamic State (ISIS) group, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu made clear on Sunday.

“Today we received a review from the head of the Mossad about the security challenges we face. I will give summarize it on one sentence – ISIS out, Iran in. We are talking mainly about Syria,” Netanyahu said in Ashdod, referring to Mossad Director Yossi Cohen’s assessmentthat the Iranian regime is expanding its control across the Middle East through proxy forces in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen.

Israel Continues to Be Flooded With Messages of Support From Iraq

By Deborah Danan, BREITBART

TEL AVIV – Support from Iraq amid Arab turmoil over the Temple Mount has continued to pour into Israel, the Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
Yonatan Gonen, head of Arabic-language digital diplomacy at the Foreign Ministry, said that the ministry’s social media accounts have been “flooded with pictures and messages of sympathy, support and even a desire to establish relations between the two countries,” Ynet news reported.

An Arabic-language website and several new Facebook pages have recently been created with the goal of bringing Israelis and Iraqis together, the report said.
