Before long the same administration that declared the fighting in Iraq over several times will claim victory over ISIS. The timetable for its push against the Islamic State appears to have less do with the victimized Christians and Yazidis who have been prevented from coming here as refugees in favor of Syrian Muslims than with the Clinton presidential campaign. Like Obama’s declarations that the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were over, the announcement that ISIS has been defeated will be premature.

It is based on a profound misunderstanding and misreading of Islamic terrorism.

T. Belman. Shaked wants the Knesset to have the right to appoint judges to the Supreme Court without the consent of the Justices which is required now. It is not for Court to decide whether to appoint left or right wing Justices, it is for the Knesset to decide. In the US, the Justices have no say in the appointment . It is for the President to nominate and the Senate to advise and consent.

Supreme Court justices blew up on Thursday after court President Miriam Naor severed ties with Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked, saying she had placed a “gun on the table.”

“I am compelled to notify you,” Naor wrote Shaked, “that along with Deputy Supreme Court President [Elyakim] Rubinstein and Justice [Salim] Joubran, that we have no intention of continuing to pre-discuss and consult with you at this time with regard to formulating a list of candidates and with regard to possible compromises.”

As these lines are being written it is Thursday morning in the US. Wikileaks announced hours ago that it is about to drop the mother lode of material it has gathered on Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Previous Wikileaks document drops set the stage for FBI director James Comey’s letter to Congress last Friday, when he informed lawmakers that he has ordered his agents to reopen their probe of Clinton’s private email server, which he closed last July.

T. Belman. Sherman boils it down to this. Regardless of whether a President Trump can deliver on his promises, he will at least put a stop to the disintegration of America as proposed by Clinton. That in itself is reason enough to vote for Trump.

The most important issue is whether to support massive immigration or restricted immigration. Returning to what made America great, can only be achieved by limiting immigration to people who want to adopt American values as enshrined in the Constitution and rejecting those who don’t.

As I said in a previous comment that for Conservative Republicans to have a role in preserving the constitution, they must restrict immigration to prevent it from undermining their political power to preserve it.

T. Belman. Kedar points out that the Shiite/Sunni conflict is a life and death struggle. If you lose, you die.

He suggests that Israel must adopt this code of ruthlessness or perish. Soon, Israel will be flanked by Shiite controlled Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen lead by Iran and supported by Russia.

What is needed is for Israel to adopt the imperative of “kill or be killed” backed in their ruthlessness by a Trump led US.  Didn’t he say a year ago that he would “bomb the shit out of ISIS”?

The Shiites are watching their dreams come true, as the Sunnis find themselves caught in a nightmare. This, dear readers, is the way of the Middle East.

T. Belman. Yesterday, I reminded the Trump Campaign that Hillary Clinton promoted a U.N. resolution favored by the 57-nation Organization of Islamic Conference, which is run by leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood which effectively criminalized criticism of Islam.

Also, in a Dec. 14, 2011, speech, Clinton said the resolution “marks a step forward in creating a safe, global environment for practicing and expressing one’s beliefs.”

The concept that language and actions should be censored or banned outright by public schools and public spaces because some persons may be offended violates the U.S. Constitution in many ways.

One, the most obvious one, is that it allows a tiny group of people to say they are offended and thereby censor the language of others. The First Amendment does not say that the freedom of speech can be infringed by somebody claiming to be offended by the exercise of someone else’s speech. This standard of personal feeling is not written anywhere into any right protected by the Constitution. Feelings are not relevant — they simply are not mentioned as variables that influence legislation. If they were, people should have the power to shut down government regulations because they were offended by them. But, curiously, those who promote using the concept of personal offense never speak of limiting government, only limiting the people.

It appears that Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman has completed his orientation at the Defense Ministry. The interview that he gave over the weekend to the newspaper Al-Quds, the most-read daily in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, shows that Liberman understands well the correct equation between Israel and the Palestinians in regard to management and security. He no longer speaks politically, but rather he is speaking in military language.

A Knesset bill designed to halt European Union support for illegal Palestinian construction in Area C of the West Bank was filed on Wednesday by MK Oded Forer (Yisrael Beytenu).

If passed by the Knesset, it would strip diplomats of immunity in activities relating to terror, human trafficking and illegal construction, and would hold European Union diplomats liable for helping Palestinians build illegally in Area C of the West Bank.

T. Belman. The author fails to mention that such immigration skews the population in favour of the Democratic Party. Surely the US has the right to preserve the political status quo in determining how many immigrants to absorb. Perhaps legislating that only people who have been citizens for over 5 years can vote, will alleviate the situation. Immigration policy should be based on what is in the interests of the American people rather than on some non-existent duty to accommodate foreigners who wish to come to America.
