Analysis Turkey’s Erdogan Loses His Cool and Launches All-out War Against the Kurds

The failed coup attempt this summer has given Erdogan the opportunity to cleanse Turkish public institutions and political bodies of anyone liable to threaten his absolute rule.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has a long list of people to settle scores with. It includes the names of any journalists who ever criticized him; private companies that were suspected of supporting Fethullah Gulen, the exiled cleric whom Erdogan accuses of planning the failed military coup in July; names of human rights activists; and, of course, anyone who supports the pro-Kurdish People’s Democratic Party (HDP).

HANDS OFF GILO
T. BELMAN. THIS EDITORIAL SURPRISED ME GIVEN THE FACT THAT JPOST HAS SHIFTED TO THE LEFT SINCE THE CHANGE OF EDITOR EARLY IN THE YEAR
Last week’s latest State Department condemnation of Jerusalem’s decision to approve new housing for residents of its Gilo neighborhood should not be shrugged off as just another routine example of its ongoing obtuseness regarding Israel’s sovereign capital. Its timing so close to the American election and the uncertainty of President Barack Obama’s intentions during the interim before his successor’s inauguration raises the question whether this does not in fact herald the approach of yet another unnecessary confrontation between our countries.

Polls Show African-American Vote for Donald Trump is Double Mitt Romney’s Vote
Donald Trump is on track to double Gov. Mitt Romney’s support among African-American voters, according to a series of state polls.
In 2012, African-Americans comprised a record 13 percent of all voters. President Barack Obama was reelected with 93 percent of the African-American vote, leaving Gov. Mitt Romney with only 6 percent of the African-American vote. Obama is now campaigning against Trump, and hoping to keep his share of the African-American vote below the 11 percent that George W. Bush won in 2004 during the housing bubble.

The Biggest Differences Between Trump and Clinton
Holes and Moles in U.S. Intelligence
By Cliff Kincaid, CFP

One of the biggest jokes of the presidential campaign is that the WikiLeaks disclosures prove that Vladimir Putin favors Donald J. Trump for U.S. president.
I’m not naïve about Russia. I co-authored Back from the Dead: The Return of the Evil Empire, about a resurgent Russia. I believe there are Russian links to global Islamic terrorism. They also target the U.S. for propaganda and disinformation operations.

GOP Outperforming 2012 Early, Absentee Voting Numbers in Florida, Iowa and North Carolina
The Republican National Committee (RNC) and the Trump campaign say Republicans continue to lead in early and absentee voting in the state of Florida, and have closed the gap in Iowa.
Republicans now make up 1.5 percent more of the vote share than at this time in the 2012 election, while Democrats make up 5 percent less.
As of Friday, Republicans still maintain a slim lead in total votes cast in Florida, according to the RNC.

Russia PM: ‘We never denied Israel’s right to Jerusalem, Temple Mount’
The issue had been “blown out of proportion,” Dimitry Medvedev said.
Moscow has never denied Israel’s rights to Jerusalem, the Temple Mount or the Western Wall, Russian Prime Minister Dimitry Medvedev said in advance of his visit to the Jewish state later this week.
“These rights are clear and it would be absurd to deny them,” he told Channel 2 anchorwoman Yonit Levy.

‘The Supreme Court has to know its place’
Chief Rabbi of Kiryat Ono blesses the proposed law seeking to curb the influence of current Supreme Court justices on selection committee.

Chief Rabbi of Kiryat Ono Rabbi Dr. Ratzon Arusi gave his blessing to the proposed law of Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked that seeks to curb the influence of current Supreme Court justices in determining who will join their ranks on the bench.
“It is a very correct proposal,” Rabbi Arusi told Arutz Sheva. “Especially today, when we know that on the judicial selection committee there is representation of specific groups only, a ‘special majority’ [requiring the approval of 7 out of 9 on the selection committee to select a justice] creates the dependence of everyone on everyone else such that it is not always possible to ‘renew the bench’, because all sorts of interests are interfering. A reduction of the required majority [to 5 out of 9 on the selection committee] will enable greater diversity in the appointment of judges.”

Report: Bill Clinton Wasn’t Only One to Go to ‘Sex Slave Island,’ Hillary Went with Him–‘Six Times’
NOT YET VERIFIED IN MSM.

Breitbart News has cooked up a real doozy of a claim about Hillary Clinton, but as we’ve learned the hard way in 2016: Stranger things have happened.
The source for this claim is Erik Prince, the founder of the security firm Blackwater (yes, that one.) In an exclusive interview at Breitbart News, Prince first states that the NYPD is “ready to make arrests in Weiner case.”
