Before Israel was founded, the State Department was anti-Zionist. Since Israel’s founding, the State Department has been hostile to Israel in ways great and small. (Marco Rubio seems to be a wonderful exception to this rule, helped by a pro-Israel president.) And, of course, the Democrat party and its media outlets hate Israel. That’s why two former State Department employees have taken to the pages of the New York Times to complain that, with Israel achieving military victories, the Trump administration must force it to surrender.

Peloni:  Major Update:   In the aftermath of Witkoff’s statement of capitulating to Iran maintaining a nuclear program, Witkoff, the State Dept and the White House have all made statements making it clear that Trump’s position on eliminating Iran’s entire nuclear program is unchanged.

Peloni:  And just like that, Qatari allied Witkoff walks back Trump’s requirement of full dismantlement of Iran’s nuclear program after just the first meet and greet with Iran.   This is a huge scale-back of previous statements made by Trump himself which demanded Iran have no nuclear program.

Syria’s interim president, Ahmad al-Sharaa, received a warm welcome at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum in Turkey on April 11, where his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, lambasted Israel as a “terrorist state.” Together with 20 other heads of state, Sharaa also heard Erdogan’s pledge “to work toward a future in which Syria experiences years of stability, prosperity, and peace” — a formula increasingly understood in Israel as code for growing Turkish domination and control over Syria, with which both Jerusalem and Ankara share a border. Erdogan’s statement came just two days after Turkish and Israeli officials met in Azerbaijan for talks aimed at establishing deconfliction mechanisms amid both countries’ ongoing military operations in Syria.

Peloni:  This is a very important lawsuit.  Gary Osen explains how a Palestinian American Citizen, otherwise recognized as being very peace-oriented, is alleged to have been completely complicit in helping to fund the terror infrastructure in and under Gaza.  Osen also addresses the reality that, though there are plenty of laws on the books in the US prohibiting support of terrorism, these laws are never enforced by the DOJ.

Why is it that the murder and torture of American citizens have not been prosecuted in the US?  Might this be due to the past Qatari influence in Washington?  Might it be due to Qatari influence in Washington today?  Indeed, why is this case, which involves the murder of American citizens being brought in a civil lawsuit rather than being addressed by the DOJ?  Are they ignoring the evidence or do they find it lacking?  Is Qatari influence relevant to the silence which is seemingly screaming from the DOJ today on this issue?  Where is AG Bondi, who was so stalwart in her pride of having been a Qatari lobbyist?

Peloni:  In his opening remarks, Mark explains that Trump’s tariff policy is explicitly pro-growth as he is creating a global free market system which will re-industrialize America.  He also goes into the cause for the Great Depression as being the result of the Fed’s tight money policy which, while pursuing sound money, in turn led to a run on the banks due to a lack of available money.  Due to FDR’s anti-growth policies of creating cartels, historic redistribution of wealth, historic rise in peace-time taxes, centralized govt/industrial policies, the depression was extended and additional 7yrs.  Contrasting with these unsound policies, Mark explains that Trump’s policies are historic pro growth policies by cutting waste, pursuing deregulation, cutting taxes, and forcing foreign competitors to compete on a level playing field.
