Iran’s game is clear enough. It wishes to replace the US as the regional hegemon, at the US’s expense.
Off the coast of Yemen, and at the UN Security Council we are seeing the strategic endgame of Barack Obama’s administration. And it isn’t pretty.
Since Sunday, Iran’s Houthi proxies in Yemen have attacked US naval craft three times in the Bab al-Mandab, the narrow straits at the mouth of the Red Sea. The Bab al-Mandab controls maritime traffic in the Red Sea, and ultimately controls the Suez Canal.

SkyNews reported that Geert Wilders will stand trial on criminal charges of violating the Dutch hate speech laws,“Geert Wilders hate speech charges upheld in court.” His counsel had filed a motion with the Hague court to dismiss the charges, The case against Wilders arose from petitions filed with the Hague prosecutors by Dutch Muslims and leftist allies that his 2014 local campaign remarks of ‘fewer Moroccans” constituted prosecutable violations of hate speech laws in the Netherlands. Wilders’ counsel has also questioned possible bias in the three judge tribunal.
Wilders had been acquitted of similar charges in a trial in the Amsterdam Distirct Court in 2011. The trial comes at a time where Wilders’ Freedom Party (PVV) has risen near the top of Dutch political polls close behind the ruling coalition of PM Mark Rutte’s VVD party in the Hague Parliament. Wilders’ counsel has also questioned the validity of the submitted petioners that the Hague prosecutors have based their charges.

“Let me just start out by saying that so much of what he just said is not right,” Hillary began.
And then while 63 million people watched, a member of Musca domestica, or the common housefly, landed and perched near her eye.
Trump had just wrapped up a thorough takedown of the Clintons and their abuse of women. “There’s never been anybody in the history politics in this nation that’s been so abusive to women,” he said. The camera cut to a stone-faced Bill Clinton sitting unmoving in the VIP box.

Last week, a number of women came forward alleging that Donald Trump made unwanted sexual assaults on them including “groping”.
To their credit, a number of Christian leaders, stood by him by giving him the benefit of the doubt.
I would go further. For the sake of argument, I would assume the allegations were true, but would still vote for him.
Donald trump is against political correctness, globalization, open-borders, unrestricted immigration, trashing the Constitution, crony capitalism and corruption. Hillary Clinton, the opposite. She wallows in the latter two.

“The principle of criminal law in every civilized society has this in common. Any person who sways another to commit murder; any person who furnishes a lethal weapon for the purpose of the crime; any person who is an accessory to the crime, is guilty.” — Judge Dan Haywood
This line is part of a riveting speech given by Judge Haywood, played brilliantly by Spencer Tracy, as prelude to the verdict he is about to pass on the four German judges and prosecutors who are on trial for crimes against humanity in post-WWII Germany in the 1961 film “Judgment at Nuremberg.” The film was inspired by what is referred to as the “judges trial,” which was held in Nuremberg after the war.

UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, voted on October 13, 2016 against the very principles upon which it was created.
UNESCO was founded in 1945 after World War II in order to establish humanity’s moral and intellectual solidarity. It says it strives to build networks among nations in order to enable this kind of solidarity.
These were its founding principles. Oh, how have the mighty fallen.

We should all move to Israel, the world’s mirage
Israel today has what most of Western countries don’t have in terms of economic growth, security, internal dynamism and optimism.
The State of Israel is silently rewriting the map of friends and enemies, adding more and more to the first category. There are the improved ties with economic powerhouses such as Japan, China, Russia, South Korea, Singapore and India. There is the increasing cooperation with Greece and Cyprus. There is the new normalization with Turkey. There is the new liason with dozens of African nations: Ethiopia, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Guinea, Chad, South Sudan, Zambia and Ivory Coast.

If one knows a storm is brewing, but takes no measures to prepare for it, when the storm hits, who is to blame for the damage? The storm… or those who did not prepare for it?
“If the aim of the Israeli government is to prevent a peace deal with the Palestinians, now or in the future, it’s close to realizing that goal. Last week, it approved the construction of a new Jewish settlement in the West Bank, another step in the steady march under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to build on land needed to create a Palestinian state…The Obama administration, with every justification, strongly condemned the action as a betrayal of the idea of a two-state solution in the Middle East. But Mr. Netanyahu obviously doesn’t care what Washington thinks, so it will be up to President Obama to find another way to preserve that option before he leaves office.”

The Jewish people and the Jewish state face extraordinary challenges today. Luckily, we can handle all of them. But to do so, we need to be capable of judging ourselves fairly.
By CAROLINE B. GLICK, The Jerusalem Post
Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the Jewish year because it is the day that the Torah sets aside for us to reckon with ourselves. We are commanded to give an accounting – before our fellow men and before God – for our actions in the previous year. We must make amends to both for our misdeeds. And since none of us is perfect, every one of us has things to atone for.
Yom Kippur’s power stems from a basic assumption that forms its core. That assumption is that we are all moral agents. We all have to make an accounting.

Using a claw hammer, the illegal alien and his accomplice began savagely beating the elderly woman, according to police. Authorities say they shattered her eye sockets, strangled her, broke her neck bone, raped her, and left her for dead.
Pharis, described by her family as a “gentle” woman, desperately tried to fight back as she was pinned down in her own bed under the heavy weight of her assailant as he was crushing the bones in her face with his hammer, according to police.
