Qatar Undermines US Interests

Peloni:  Study this report carefully, and based on all of this, consider why the US govt would not specifically target the Qatari regime, much less protect them from attack or promote them throughout the world.  Such actions hardly advance an America first agenda.

* Qatar’s strategic alliance with Iran’s Ayatollah regime has been tightened since 2017, in the face of the blockade on Qatar, which was imposed by Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE and Bahrain. The blockade was imposed due to their accusation that Qatar was fomenting terrorism and subversion in their countries, as well as assisting Al Qaeda, Yemen’s Houthis and other terrorists.

Iran Preparing for War With US

Peloni:  Don’t miss final tweet at the bottom. It appears that the temperature in the region is rising fast with many expecting an imminent attack this weekend.  I still question if Trump will strike Iran during Ramadan.  Recent word of Rubio meeting with Bibi at the end of the month and US troop dispositions being ready in about three weeks time would support this conclusion, unless these are part of a disinformation op.

Tucker Carlson alleges mistreatment & detention by Israeli officials after spending several hours in Ben Gurion Airport for Huckabee interview

Peloni:  The claim made that Trump is looking for a way to take the temperature down belies the fact that the rising temperature is the intentional drama being created by Carlson’s one-sided and inaccurate reports which include blood libels and false statements by radical opponents of Israel, overt antisemites and off center ‘historians’.  Consequently, the one who Trump should be specifically addressing in calling for taking down the temperature is actually Carlson.

Israeli military tribunal to try Hamas terrorists involved in Oct 7 attacks

Peloni:  Bravo!  Bring justice for the slaughtered.  For the maimed.  For the raped.  For the kidnapped.  For the violation of the state itself.  A fair judgement must be brought against the barbarians who turned a routine morning for the thousands surrounding the Gaza envelop into a state of siege where murder, mayhem, rape and wholesale slaughter was the entire goal of what took place on October 7.

Peacekeepers Without Peace? Pro-Israel Group Warns Against Indonesian Troop Deployment to Gaza

Peloni:  Including such advocates against Israel’s interests as the Indonesian forces into an organization intended to maintain the peace between Israel and the radical belligerents of Gaza demonstrates the clarity with which the so called International Stabilization Force lacks credibility to pursue much less achieve its intended mission of providing stability to the region.  Note that Indonesia has voted against Israel in 100% of the 185 resolutions raised against Israel in the UN over the past decade.  Nothing demonstrates bias more than such consistency.

As deliberations intensify over the composition of a future international stabilization presence in the Gaza Strip, a prominent pro-Israel advocacy organization has issued a stark and uncompromising warning: any deployment of foreign troops must be anchored in political realism as much as in humanitarian aspiration. Americans for a Safe Israel (AFSI), one of the longest-standing pro-Israel organizations in the United States, has publicly opposed proposals to include Indonesian soldiers in a prospective “International Stabilization Force” for Gaza, arguing that states which refuse to recognize Israel’s existence cannot plausibly serve as neutral guarantors of security in a post-conflict environment.

The ‘Other Side’ Turns Against the Jews

Peloni:  The move towards normalizing Jew Hatred lacks decency, morality, and rationality.  It is a toxin which seeks out alliances with the worst elements of anti-Western values, which actually threatens the future stability and survival of the West in the war being waged against it by Marxists and Islamists both.  Meanwhile, those among the Right in America who have the gravitas and influence to turn this toxic movement into outcasts, seem to be demonstrating the same lack of leadership and control as was seen by the Democrats as they cravenly remained silent before joining the rising din of antisemitism after having allowed it to fester among their followers without any serious opposition.  As the likes of Kevin Roberts of the Heritage Foundation have failed twice to act when it should have been an instantaneous response to what is being spewed by these Leftist wannabees within the Right, it is disappointing that President Trump has not taken up the slack using the bully pulpit of the presidency to describe antisemites as being antisemitic, even when they claim to be supporting him.  Contrary to the notion carried by Megyn Kelly, the Right has a duty to identify what is and is not acceptable among their own adherents, and this becomes particularly true as some of these adherents attempt to mimic the Left in damaging ways which are not limited to their embrace of antisemitism.  Recall that like the Woke Right, Obama too sought to ally with the Iranians against the interests of not just Israel but the US as well.  These charlatan Conservatives have much to explain, but they must first be challenged by someone on the Right, and no one more so than Trump would benefit from seeing this smoldering fire of division on the Right put to rest.

Is Persia Rising or Is It Only the Iranian Expats?

Peloni: I long to see the hopes fulfilled of the one million protestors around the world who support a free Iran. The context of these protests are two-fold. First, there is the reality that the protests of support in the West are the voices of Iranian expats and their supporters, all of whom live in the West while looking towards a future for Iran free from oppression and able to choose a path of freedom for the Iranian people. The question is whether this represents only the perspective of those who were able to flee the tyranny of the Mullahs, or if it speaks to the hopes of the people who have lived under Iranian oppression for nearly 50yrs. Second, these protests, no matter their relevance in Iran, demonstrate a political movement in the West which might be transformed into political weight at the polling booths.  If this is accurate, it might come to be more relevant to what comes next than the first point.

The 50th anniversary of a book that explained Israel like no other

Reading a chronicle of the Israeli peace movement now is a fascinating reminder of how far the Labor Party and the Israeli left has drifted.

It didn’t make headlines when it was published, but Rael Jean Isaac’s Israel Divided: Ideological Politics in the Jewish State remains one of the most important books published in English about contemporary Israel. On the book’s 50th anniversary, it’s worth looking back at what she wrote, and what we can still learn from her.

Why didn’t Israel finish the job in Lebanon?

Peloni:  It is also important to neutralize the threat from Hezbollah to help reduce any threat while attacking Iran

Hezbollah, supposedly battered and defeated, still stands and is actively rebuilding. If that is the case, what on earth has Israel been doing over the past two years? Have we merely postponed the inevitable?

by  Prof. Eyal Zisser | Feb 14, 2026

Israel’s agreement to a ceasefire in Lebanon in November 2024, at a moment when Hezbollah was reeling from the blows it had sustained, is increasingly emerging as an unfathomable missed opportunity. We had a rare chance to decisively defeat the organization long regarded here as our most formidable and certainly most dangerous enemy. The paralyzing fear of Hezbollah not only cast a heavy shadow over daily life in northern Israel, it also prevented Israel, as many will recall, from acting against Iran’s nuclear capabilities at the start of the previous decade.

Article in Saudi Daily: Hamas Is The Palestinian Branch of the Muslim Brotherhood; Its October 7 Attack Killed Momentum for Normalization and Peace in the Region and Strengthened the Muslim Brotherhood

Peloni:  Herein lies the truth about the Saudi shift against normalization with Israel, but it also demonstrates a real and substantive flaw in the Abraham Accords.  The AA were intended to bring about peace by ignoring the Israeli-Pal issue, making bilateral peace agreements between Sunni states and  Israel the focus rather than waiting for the situation with the Pals to be rectified first, something which is impossible due to the terror-based leadership and all of society’s effort at blocking any form of peace with Israel among the Pals.  But the Arab street was always something which has and continues to drive the policies of the Sunni states.  This dependency of the Sunni states on the Arab states is why Bahrain cut its diplomatic ties with Israel shortly after October 7, and why the UAE argued that Israel should not invade Gaza after October 7 and continues to argue that Hamas should not be destroyed today.  It is also why Riyadh will not formalize a commitment to the future upon which MBS has focused the future of his country.  Recognizing these facts is useful to the stability of these Sunni states, but it is also useful towards understanding the real obstruction which exists between a more stable region and what exists today, and that is the need to eradicate the control which the Muslim Brotherhood has on the Sunni states.  So, as Jonathan Feldstein noted previously, Trump’s move to ban only part of the Muslim Brotherhood is a good start, but it needs the subsequent steps to ban all the Muslim Brotherhood, not just those of less useful powers than Qatar and Turkey.

In his December 2, 2025 column in the London-based daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, Lebanese journalist Nadim Koteich responded to U.S. President Trump’s executive order seeking to designate certain chapters of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) as terrorist organizations. Highlighting the connection between this executive order and the October 7 attack perpetrated by Hamas, which is the Palestinian branch of the MB, Koteich writes that “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood,” as Hamas calls the attack, did not harm only Israel.

REPORT ON IRAN NEGOTIATIONS ON FEBRUARY 17

Peloni: So will Trump surrender to the demands of the Mullahs while declaring victory?  I wouldn’t bet on it.  Nothing will happen before Ramadan ends, and that won’t be til be til March 18.  This will give the Iranians time to course correct as Trump continues to assemble US forces in the region in an unprecedented show of force.  The clock is ticking and a US strike is coming, just not likely anytime soon.

Long-Delayed Cure for Arab Terror

By Victor Sharpe

IHC Abstract from 2002

This article emphasizes how the recent Palestinian massacre of Jewish worshippers at Hebron was labeled by CNN and Associated Press as having been carried out by “militants” against “settlers”.

The writer further notes how the victims of these massacres were “shamefully made a hot potato between two leftist political rivals.” By this, he means that the deaths were a direct result of the IDFÂ’s withdrawal from the Arab occupied hills surrounding the Jewish community. This withdrawal was ordered by the ex-Israeli Defense Minister and Labor Minister in the coalition government, Benjamin ben-Eliezer, in order to win points in his battle against left wing rival Amram Mitzna for leadership of the Labor party.
