Fake News ‘Journalists’ Love the Deep State

The Fourth Estate is constitutionally illiterate.

J.B. Shurk | Am Thinker | August 19, 2026

On Sunday morning’s Meet the Press, NBC News hack Kristen Welker pressed newly sworn-in Attorney General Todd Blanche to “pledge that the Justice Department will always act independently of the White House.”  The fake “journalist” performed this bit of moralizing theater with her “very serious” face, as if to suggest that the nation’s survival depended upon Blanche’s answer.  Blanche calmly swatted Welker’s solicitation away, while pointing out that no competent, law-abiding attorney general should ever make such an absurd pledge.

October 7: The Judea and Samaria Edition

Peloni

Video Loads Below

The following interview provides a deep dive into the threat that has been rising in the Palestinian Authority as it systematically builds the territorial, military, and ideological foundations vital for the establishment of a Palestinian state.  In this report, Channel 14’s Judea and Samaria Correspondent Eliya Aviv describes this threat in interviews with members of the Regavim movement as well as Captain (Res.) Binyahu Mellet, HY”D. It should be recalled that Mellet was recently murdered by a terrorist who utilized training that enabled him to steal a weapon from a member of the Jewish defense forces after the defender hesitated to fire while being attacked.

Israel will not tolerate threats to its security

Peloni:  Avi Abelow provides an important context to the Israeli strike on Syria to prevent Turkish expansion southwards towards Israel.  Israel established a Red Line regarding Turkey directly expanding and incorporating Syria.  Unlike the Red Lines established so often by others in the region, Netanyahu acted to demonstrate that there was in fact absolutely NO flexibility on this Red Line.  His comment warning Erdogan “Don’t” served to make this point even more clear, and not just to Turkey.  I am honestly impressed with the strength and earnestness with which Netanyahu responded in Syria, and as Abelow explains below, it gives me great hope for the future, as this is the model by which Israel must respond when its stated Red Lines are tested.  Erdogan knew full well what he was doing when he made plans to take over the base in Syria, but what he failed to appreciate is that October 7 changed everything, including how Israel might respond when being challenged on stated Red Lines.  The fact that Erdogan felt at ease in crossing that Red Line was in no small part due to the American effort by Amb. Tom Barrak and others to embolden Turkey and its Muslim Brotherhood chieftain Erdogan.  So a deconfliction mechanism will now be established to prevent similar challenges in the future.  It is concerning that such a mechanism was not already considered a necessity by Washington given the raising rhetorical threats coming from Turkey and increasing in tone and significance even in recent weeks.  I only hope that when the deconfliction mechanism is soon to be tested that someone more impartial to the advancement of Turkey in the region answers the phone in Washington or things could quickly spiral out of control.

Israel just did something in Syria that represents one of the most positive and important changes in Israeli national-security policy since October 7.

Trump Wants The Strait Of Hormuz As A U.S. Territory. IMEC Is Why.

Peloni:  Is Trump’s real motivation in Iran really about seizing the Strait of Hormuz with the ultimate goal of forming a global technocracy rather than stopping Iran from becoming a nuclear power?

On August 14, 2026, President Donald Trump stood in front of a law-enforcement crowd at the David S. Mack Center for Training and Intelligence in Garden City, Long Island. Trump told them that after “defeating Iran” he would declare the Strait of Hormuz a territory of the United States. Wait for it… The Strait of America?

Natasha Hausdorff on unravelling Gaza starvation claims & misinformation about Judea & Samaria

Peloni:  This is an important video. Natasha Hausdorff discusses the recently revealed evidence provided by UNICEF exposing the truth that there is NO famine or malnutrition crisis in Gaza.  She goes further to note that this supports the evidence she and others have been emphasizing since the onset of the malicious blood libel agaist Israel, that the evidence when weighed honestly and carefully has ALWAYS demonstrated the UNICEF findings.

The Primaries – A Major Victory for Netanyahu: An Extensive Analysis

Peloni:  It was a major victory for Netanyahu being able to isolate Nir Barkat from significant party support during the Likud primaries as Barkat was pushed from 7th place to 16th.  The animus between Barkat and Netanyahu extends from the role Barkat played in trying to unseat Netanyahu in the days following October 7.  The attempted coup was quickly set aside once it was brought to Netanyahu’s attention, but as the adage goes, if you are coming to topple the king, don’t miss.  Well, Barkat missed, and his tumbling support in the Likud lists was his reward for doing so.  Nonetheless, while Barkat sits at the lower end of likely candidates to initially enter the Knesset, it should be noted that, as Yossi Baum indicates below, due to the **Norwegian system [see below], Barkat and many listed below him will enter the Knesset as MKs if Likud forms a govt following October’s elections.

Meanwhile it was great to see Almog Cohen place so high in the list after recently joining Likud, having previously been part of Otzma Yehudit.  While in the Knesset, Cohen served as an important source of leaks surrounding many of the reports surrounding the Israeli Deep State which were under judicial gag order.  Last year, Cohen served an Netanyau’s Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister.  On October 7 he spontaneously acted to come to the defense of Ofakim from attack, having previously been a militia leader in the Negev.  I look forward to seeing Cohen rise to even greater heights in Likud in the future, perhaps much higher in fact.

Netanyahu was focused on weakening Gottlieb, Barkat, and Bitan, and he won on all three fronts. In addition, he supported Almog Cohen, Erez Tadmor, Lerner, Shuki Ohana, Bismuth, and Osnat Zohar. Here too, he won. And for the details at length:

Syria admits holding nuclear material, but refuses handover, saying: ‘We have the right to use it’

Peloni:  Of course, as expected, when Saudi Arabia was to be offered a no holds barred ‘civilian’ nuclear deal, every tin-pot dictator in the region was going to try to follow in the Saudi’s footsteps.  Yet in Syria, we have a certified wanted terrorist who has the blood of unknown numbers of US servicemen on his hands, and a recently cancelled bounty of $10 million on his head, not to mention being tightly tied to Erdogan’s strings of control.  This is the making of a nuclear disaster.

Bennett endorses Egypt??

Peloni: Min. Chikli’s rebuke of former PM Naftali Bennett is well earned. Egypt is daily positioning itself as an antagonist power to Israel, and it was entirely complicit in the preparations for October 7.  It is completely without any rationale that any compentent voice would advocate their inclusion in Gaza or any other sensitive position in the region.  I honestly don’t know what Bennett is contemplating by offshoring Israeli interests to such a proposal as this, but perhaps he will expand on it further so that we might gain a greater sense of insight as to what he has in mind for the future security parameters for the region.

Minister of Diaspora and Combating Antisemitism Amichai Chikli

Although Bennett says quite a lot of foolish things, and in any case it is difficult to attach significance to his words, one cannot remain silent about the reckless statement that the Egyptians should be brought into the Gaza Strip.

Jew hatred in colleges escalates

Peloni:  In the essay below Steve Kramer offers some important insights as to the education choices available to Jews in the Diaspora coming to Israel for their learning experiences.  Related to this, several years ago, Geoffrey Clarfield proposed the creation of a series of universities in the US by Bar Ilan so that Americans might gain insights from an education that they are otherwise unlikely to experience at a Zionist institution.  Notably, as Clarfield noted then, “Bar-Ilan University is the only Zionist university left in Israel” and that is probably more true today then it was then.  Another alternative already existing in America is that of Hillsdale College.  The Left has seized strings which control education in the West, and as the Left has taken on an altogether unhinged project imbuing Jew Hatred as normative and useful while also delegitimizing ever aspect of Western ideology and culture, parents have an important task in choosing the right environment for the molding of their children’s education.  Hence it is important that they consider available opportunities so as to provide the successive generations with the knowledge and identity which is predicated on Western values, which of course means Judeo-Christian values.  The choices are currently few, but with state financing to bring youths in America, Jews and Gentiles alike, or to bring a Zionist teaching to the broader West, we could easily increase the choices available in tutoring the future of the West towards a reasonable and responsible path.

Trump declares ‘economic D-Day’ on Iran, threatens ‘tremendous consequences’ for nations trading with Islamic Republic

Jordan is ruled by a Kuwaiti family….

Ali Baba “the King” has been a mere figurehead for over two decades. Rania and her family hold the reins, while intelligence mouthpieces sow division among the people in the name of “Jordanian identity”—as they lick the shoes of a Kuwaiti family?!

* A secret report attributed to the U.S. Embassy in Amman, leaked by WikiLeaks, described Rania al-Saroor as “the last one to whisper in the king’s ear”—meaning she has the final say in the state..

Jews who funded Zohran Mamdani and Mahmoud Khalil

Paul Schnee:  I’m so infuriated and sickened by this article about Steven Spielberg funding anti-Semitic politicians, self-hating Jews and Jew-hating organizations.

The last paragraph states: “Steven Spielberg took the proceeds from a film about the murder of six million Jews and directed them to organizations that defend the enemies of the Jewish state. What can one say?”

Well, here’s something one can say: at the very least Spielberg is a verminous kapo.

Forty-four percent of American Jews view Mamdani favorably. That did not happen organically. It is due to the work of a progressive Jewish infrastructure funded by Diaspora liberal Jews.

Forty-four percent of American Jews view Zohran Mamdani favorably, according to an AP-NORC poll released in July 2026 – 1,022 Jewish adults nationwide, margin of error ±5 points. The mayor of New York City – a democratic socialist born in East Africa who ran on Palestinian Arab solidarity, endorsed by progressive Jewish organizations – helped gain office due to Jewish money.
