Decades ago, I remember reading an article in Newsday, a newspaper based on Long Island and at that time the eighth largest daily in the country.  It was a first-person admission of the writer’s irresistible attraction to morbidly obese women.  After several family members and friends encouraged him to figure out his obsession by going into therapy, he assented and entered not typical once- or twice-a-week therapy, but five-times-a-week psychoanalysis.

Peloni:  As the Senate Republicans refused to pass any of a number of Trump’s legislative bills, Trump moved to forego supporting the safe choice of endorsing Sen. Cornyn, who is a personal ally of the Republican leadership in the Senate.  The consequence of this is that Trump endorsed Texas AG Ken Paxton who is trailing by about 1.5% in the polls as compared to Cornyn in the general election.  The result of this will mean that Paxton will need more money to support his campaign, and the likelihood is that the Republican Senatorial fund, which is controlled by the head of the Senate, Sen. Thune, will offer Paxton less money than they would have for Cornyn, while claiming that his candidacy is not viable.  This is the same scenario which has been run in past elections which led to electoral defeats by Trump endorsed congressional candidates who opposed the establishment, as does Paxton.  This will be an interesting election to watch as Paxton has been a long standing opponent to the Bush party machine in Texas which previously led to Paxton being impeached on silly charges.

Earlier this month, Zohran Mamdani shared an official video marking so-called “Nakba Day.” Leaning heavily into standard progressive, anti-Israel spin, the video used isolated family histories to recycle decades-old “blame Israel first” talking points. By falsely portraying the 1948 war purely as a unilateral act of Israeli aggression, the producers of this propaganda deliberately erased crucial historical context. They omitted the fact that five Arab armies invaded the nascent Jewish state, choosing instead to treat refugees from that era as a unique situation in order to foment a perpetual assignment of blame. The very word “Nakba” is politically charged and is used by anti-Israel extremists to refer to the Palestinian refugee situation that developed during the 1948 Arab–Israeli war following the complete Arab rejection of the UN’s partition plan.

At the Divinity School of Yale University on 18 May, the Year of Our Lord, 2026, the female president of the University, Maurie McInnis, bestowed on a Canadian woman, Ingrid Mattson, the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity, who in June 2025 signed a letter to Canada’s prime minister accusing the Jews in Israel of genocide, in effect, of doing to the “Palestinians” what the Nazis did to them; in effect, accusing the Jews themselves of morphing into Nazis.

Peloni:  Is Trump really waiting for the right answer?  After a year of negotiating, it might be understood that no such “right answer” would be forthcoming from an institutionalized mentality founded on creating enough chaos so as to draw the Shiite boogeyman Mahdi from his hiding hole.  Notably, Trump is an intelligent man, yet even someone with an IQ greater than could be counted on one hand should be able to grasp the already clearly limited options at hand.  So, the claim that he is waiting for the right answer is not terribly credible.  While the US are caught maintaining the blockade, they are simultaneously harnessing the benefit of the limited oil forthcoming from the Persian Gulf.  Yet, due to Trump having linked a fully porous ceasefire in Lebanon to ceasefire in Iran simply to appease the Iranian terrorists, the freedom of action by the IDF is being infringed to react rather than prevent attacks emanating from Hezbollah and its menacing FPV drones.  This stipulation, which was forced on Israel, should be lifted, and Israel should be allowed to return to the freedom of action granted to it under the terms of the previous ceasefire.

Peloni: In the wake of the recent Hamas funded flotilla which was intercepted by Israeli forces, the govt and world leaders have taken to condemning the actions of Min. Ben Gvir for his activist like attempt to chastise the pro-Hamas beligerants while being processed in Israel.

It is truly amazing how little it takes for an Israeli to presumably step out of line before being universally condemned as if he had actually executed the terror sponsoring activists which sailed with impunity on a Hamas financed flotilla to invade his country.  Many are arguing that this event has created an international incident, but the reality is if such an event took place in any other nation, this footage wouldn’t be newsworthy or even noteworthy.  Hence, ignoring the international angst which came from what was honestly was far less of a chastising than these melancholy marauders deserved, we should note the real importance of this event, which I would argue was far more political in nature than geopolitical.

Peloni:  Ed Gallrein raised somewhere around $3 million for his campaign, with an additional $32-$35 million from superpacs.  Yet, the roughly $7 million which came from Jewish groups are all that is noted by either the press or Gallrein’s opponent Massie as the basis of his fall from power.  The reality is that if the world didn’t have the collection of antisemitic libels which mask the reality of the woes of the world as being due to Jews, perhaps some of the long ignored problems might have been solved over the centuries in which these libels have instead been used to distract and focus the limited attention of antisemitic populations.
