A dramatic decline in support for a two-state solution over the past 14 years was reported in a recent Gallup survey, and this was true among both Israelis and Arabs living under the Palestinian Authority. Majorities on both sides now oppose the establishment of a second Palestinian state (recall that Jordan was the first state created for the Palestinian Muslims) in the heartland of Israel.

Susan Sarandon’s recent complaints about being banned by major Hollywood studios for her anti-Israel views just aren’t honest. There’s a distinction between political suppression and her story. Following her controversial remarks at a November 2023 rally—where she stated that Jewish Americans fearing rising antisemitism were “getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country”—Sarandon was formally dropped by United Talent Agency (UTA) and may have found herself excluded from some major studio projects. While she has since framed this fallout as some type of modern-day McCarthyism, the actual facts of the entertainment industry prove that Hollywood is not censoring dissent. Her situation is more about establishing necessary moral boundaries, her personal career choices, and the right of individuals to decide that they do not want to work with someone whose behavior they find abhorrent and dangerous.

Today marks another anniversary of October 7, 2023, a day of profound sorrow. More than a thousand people were killed in Israel in the Hamas attack. The victims included children and families, and the attacks involved killings, torture, sexual violence, and people being burned. It is a day that should be remembered and mourned by anyone who values human life.
From state-backed publications and international broadcasting to diplomatic summits, legal proceedings and trade restrictions, Ankara has developed a coordinated institutional campaign to amplify its criticism of Israel worldwide.

America is not unique, and it is not immune to this cyclical law of history. As the borders of the West disintegrate, from the burning suburbs of France to the radicalized streets of London, Dearborn, and New York, the internal rot accelerates. Uncontrolled immigration and a total refusal to insist on cultural assimilation have imported the very conflicts the West once sought to contain.
PELONI: So long as the Jihadi state of Iran is allowed to survive, its proxy domination of the region will survive as well because the IRGC regime in Tehran requires the sacrifice of these foreign fighters as the grist in Iran’s war with the West. They don’t trust their own population, and by using the indoctrinated proxies the war is kept at arms length with enough of a claim of deniability so as to allow the West to cling to the myth of being deceived. In fact, the West’s hopes of seeing an end to war is what will sustain the war with Iran which they are to both ignoring and losing in the same moment.

On October 4, the UK Green Party passed a reckless resolution. It declared Zionism a form of racism, demanded an end to all arms sales to Israel, and endorsed eliminating Israel as a Jewish state. Wrapped in high-minded language, the party claimed: “The Green Party is an anti-racist party and has consistently opposed the illegal occupation of both Palestinian and Syrian land, [and] called for an end to arms sales to the Israeli government ….”

UPDATE: Axios’ reports that IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Zamir warned the Trump administration that if strikes took place in the next three weeks, Israel would have to delay its election. Subsequent to this report Trump has announced that there will be no resumption of the war prior to the elections in Israel or the US.
PELONI: So as the drums of war are once again being sounded, are we to believe that war is imminent before the coming elections in Israel and the US, or is this more gunboat diplomacy to support Vance’s term even after the Iranians have once again proven an inability to moderate even their rhetoric? Time will tell.
