PELONI: President Trump’s pledge to hold off on striking Iran until after the U.S. midterm elections has not calmed Tehran, but rather, it has had the effect of encouraging Iranian hardliners to escalate before the election deadline passes. Rabbi Pesach Wolicki examines Iran’s rhetoric and reports to demonstrate growing tensions around the Strait of Hormuz, and examines the regime’s remaining military capabilities regarding its ability to draw the region back to war in the coming weeks.
PELONI: Presuming that these polling numbers are accurate, and judging by past election cycles they are probably elevating the Leftist faction at the cost of the national camp, it really does come down to a question of whether you would prefer a government led by Netanyahu or a govt supported by the anti-Zionist Arab parties. All other considerations serve as distractions to this fundamental choice in this election, so choose wisely.
Netanyahu and Ofer Winter continue intra-bloc feud
With less than three weeks before the Israeli elections, polls last week showed a steady rise in support for the bloc led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, though most polls showed a close race, with neither bloc securing the 61 seats needed for a parliamentary majority.
As elections approach in Israel and the United States, longstanding questions about the PLO charter, Palestinian Authority funding, UNRWA education, and security cooperation demand greater public scrutiny.
More than 50 years ago, I had the honour of studying with Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz at the newly established Pardes Institute for Jewish Studies.
Rabbi Steinsaltz, renowned for his groundbreaking translation and commentary on the Talmud in modern Hebrew, championed an idea that has stayed with me for decades.
PELONI: The coordination of efforts to undermine Netanyahu’s credibility as a choice in the next election is both quite impressive just as it is also quite manufactured. I have made the same suggestion as described below by Avi Abelow, namely that the post October 7 era has demonstrated that of all the likely contenders for PM in the next election, Netanyahu alone has demonstrated the ability to make good judgements regarding the war, and in times of great aversity, to resist the Americans demands as needed.

There is a massive election campaign underway to make Netanyahu responsible for Oct. 7 and turn that accusation into a reason to vote him out.
I agree on one thing: Oct. 7 should absolutely be a defining election issue.
PELONI: As expected, the Peace Processors will have their way, no matter the coming costs in Jewish blood.
The US-backed Board of Peace is reportedly preparing to dramatically increase efforts to implement its Gaza plan after the upcoming Knesset election and American midterm elections.

President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace is preparing to intensify efforts to implement its Gaza reconstruction and governance plan after the upcoming elections in Israel and the United States, according to a new report published by The Telegraph, following months of preparations that have yet to produce major changes on the ground.
The dim view that both Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu have of the EU appears to be affirmed by a procession of high-level corruption scandals that have erupted recently.

Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu have like-minded views on a good range of topics, including the rather dim view each of them has on the European Union and its Brussels-based institutions.
PELONI: The British betrayal of the Jewish people began over a century ago with the creation of a mechanism within the League of Nations Mandate for Palestine which was later exercised allowing Perfidious Albion to create for itself a nation comprising more than three quarters of the land intended by the Allied Powers to be granted to the Jewish people. Their purposes were as self serving as was their choice of an Arabian servant, the line of Hashemites, to act as their performative satrap while role-playing the image of a British puppet-king of lands which were to be named first Transjordan, but later renamed as simply Jordan so as to hide the fact that the Transjordanian kingdom had stolen the lands of Judea and Samaria from the Cisjordanian nation of Israel, [Cisjordan clearly referencing the near or Western side of the Jordan River, and Transjordan clearly referencing the far or Eastern side of Jordan]. From the inception of Jordan’s iniquitous creation to last week, the exercise of Jordan’s existence has been to steal from the Jewish people the rights and heritage of lands which were were Jewish lands, and to this end Britain is still playing its role as Perfidious Albion, the untrustworthy manipulator of events and nations so as to maximize the relevance and control of that island kingdom over the rest of the world, but at a terrible cost to those nations who find themselves on the wrong end of these ministrations.

One Israel wants to be loved. The other would settle for being left alive. It is a difference in priorities that becomes rather important when your neighbours have organizations that regard your disappearance as a political objective.
PELONI: Israel must maintain its focus on the capabilities of its Arab neighbors, recognizing that treaties are but as tangible as a piece of paper when those capabilities will grant them an edge over that of Israel. Recall the statement of the Jordanian Prime Minister who signed a treaty with Israel…
Egypt is Israel’s powerful southwestern neighbor, a military heavyweight guarding a vital strategic flank, and that demands maximum vigilance without hostility.

Washington’s decision to override human rights conditions on military aid to Cairo reflects the enduring primacy of strategic interests.
PELONI: What need does a terrorist chieftain need with elections. These terrorists live in a tribal society conducting tribal rituals guided by tribal rules. The concept of egalitarianism is as foreign to them as it is to many in the West who steal elections, support violent protests, and support terror regimes such as that of Mahmoud Abbas who has been kept afloat over the years by billions of European Euros and US dollars. Foreign funding for these terrorists and their terror armies must be ended, along with any pretense that an election will ever be held by any terrorist for which the electoral outcome is not already made certain before the first ballot is cast.
This is what the international community is subsidizing.

France’s Macron, Canada’s Carney and UK’s Burnham are among the leaders who have recognized an Islamic terror state headed by the PLO. Meanwhile the 90-year-old terror boss (above) heading up the terror state will celebrate 20 years of postponing elections.
PELONI: Riyadh has a very big problem, and if they continue to prove that they are incapable of solving it, the House of Saud will lose everything – this is the way of things in the Middle East where paper tigers, no matter how large or wealthy, can not survive repeated demonstrations of failure.
The successful attacks on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport was an intelligence and operational failure that led to at least 12 dead and more than 300 wounded, some critically. Despite Saudi Arabia spending hundreds of billions and building an integrated air defense system, the Houthi attacks were remarkably successful. It is increasingly clear that even the best air defense systems based on current technology do not protect key assets from damage or destruction.
As Hamas rebuilds in Gaza and Egypt expands its military presence in Sinai, Jonathan Pollard warns that Israel risks facing a devastating new threat on its southern border.
The shock reverberating through the Israeli public following reports that the IDF allowed a major daylight Hamas military exercise to proceed in Gaza without targeting it has exposed a deeply troubling reality.
And for decades before then as well from Arab supremacist, rejectionist, settling, colonizing jihadi occupiers who had been forcibly stealing hundreds of millions of other NON-Arab peoples native ancestral homelands ànd calling them solely their own from the 7th century C.E. onwards: “Purely Arab Patrimony,” part of a forever expanding Dar ul-Islam, never EVER to be relinquished to the various kafir peoples they confiscated huge amounts of territory from, and and habitually oppressed until they totally submitted to their Arab or Arabized conquerors.
UPDATE: From Trump TruthSocial: Effective immediately, there is an ENERGY CEASEFIRE in the War between Russia and Ukraine. Both parties have agreed. Do not break it! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP
PELONI: As I have noted many times since the Ukraine war began, Zelensky will never make a deal, and if he tried to do so, the regime which he heads would eliminate him for doing so. It is a sad and precarious situation, but it is far from surprising. While it is reasonable that Trump is returning to the topic of someone replacing Zelensky due to the economic implications of Zelensky driving US diesel energy costs thru the roof, Trump should have pressed Zelensky to hold elections as his 5year term ended over two years ago, and it seemed to go without remark earlier this that Zelensky’s 5 year term has now stretched past being over 7yrs. Reasonable people may disagree, but I suspect that should an election be held in Ukraine, the people would vote to choose a peace candidate as president, just like they did in 2014 and just like they did in 2019. The unfortunate question which remains, however, is once a new peace candidate might be elected, how long would it take before they were converted to be the next peace candidate which moved to back war instead of peace as was true in 2014 and in 2019…
President Donald Trump on Saturday expressed his frustration with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s inability to make a deal with Russia.
“Well, I agree with you, and you know what I suggest? I suggest they get a new leader who can make a deal. Because he [Zelenskyy] could have made many deals that for some reason he never does,” Trump told reporters in response to recent Russian drone attacks Ukraine has weathered.
PELONI: While the election considerations of these two world leaders diverge over the fate of Iran, what has not changed is the interest in seeing regime change in Iran. Regardless of what direction events might take in the coming days or weeks, even if no change is actually the course chosen, nothing less significant than the future of the Middle East and likely the free world will be decided. This Iranian regime will never give up its ambitions of conquering the West as this is the raison d’etre for the entire existence of the regime, which means if the West remains oblivious to the making of their own destruction, the future will be very very dark indeed. So will Netanyahu take this opportunity to save the free world from its own folly… as someone who has consistently characterized his efforts in the ongoing struggle with the Mullahs as being an echo of Churchill’s struggle with the Nazis, this might well be the moment which determines the final outcome of that struggle.
The Americans believed an attack before the Israeli elections could benefit Netanyahu, while renewed US strikes before the midterms could hurt Trump.
The United States pressed Israel to carry out an independent strike against Iran during talks over the past two weeks, seeking to avoid the political risk of renewed US military action ahead of the midterm elections, Maariv reported Saturday.
More than 1,000 drones have been fired against Kurdish forces in Iraq, while Kurds in both Iran and Iraq fear that the strikes will reach their homes.

Iran is increasing its rhetoric against Kurdish Iranian dissident groups based in the Kurdistan Region of northern Iraq.
It also carried out a recent drone attack against the groups, one of more than 1,000 attacks carried out since February. US forces recently left Iraq, and this could leave the Kurdistan Region vulnerable to more Iranian attacks. This has many implications. Two articles at Rudaw, a Kurdish media network based in Erbil, indicate the growing concerns. The Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran (KDPI) has rejected accusations by Iran’s consul general in Erbil that Iranian Kurdish opposition groups are cooperating with foreign powers. The dispute comes amid continued Iranian drone and missile attacks on the Kurdistan Region of northern Iraq, where residents living near Iranian Kurdish opposition bases fear more strikes.
Former United Nations human rights chief Navi Pillay, who headed a UN commission that accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza, has won the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize. The Norwegian Nobel Committee honored the 85-year-old South African jurist on Friday “for her efforts to promote peace and international law.”
PELONI: Look for this campaign of Islamist violence to sweep over Europe as the campaign of Jew Hatred swept over the world. This is the purpose of the quiet Jihad, and as the Jew is ever the canary in the coal mine, it seems the West remains oblivious to the purpose to which the manufactured Jew Hatred over the past three years was actually directed. The West is under a state of siege, even if they prefer to remain oblivious to it. Remember the words of Pres. Trump in Butler PA when his life was under threat: Fight, Fight, Fight… If you value your liberties and security, the people of Europe must resist their subjugation by the Islamists with all their might… and as Pamela Geller explains below, America is next.
Israel and the Jewish community are currently losing the slogan war, not because the facts are against them, but because they have been slow to recognize that the battlefield is perception, not evidence. At university protests, on social media, and in mainstream political discourse, SLOGANS that would not survive five minutes of honest scrutiny are repeated by millions who have never examined them.
