Is There a Lesson for Israel in Vance’s Message at Munich? Yes.

By Walter E. Block

There are several lessons which do not at all apply. One, Europe’s defense budgets are paltry. Israel cannot at all be faulted on that ground (although I must say, it really needs a domestic munitions industry!). Two, the countries on that continent have succumbed to virulent wokism. No one can make that complaint at least against the Netanyahu administration with a straight face.

The West Is Falling into Iran’s Trap – Again

by Majid Rafizadeh  •  Gatestone Institute  •  April 26, 2025

Each round of diplomacy gives Iran’s regime more room to maneuver, more time to develop its weapons, and more resources to fund terror proxies across the Middle East and Latin America. The result is not peace — it is proliferation. Pictured: Iranian Airborne Cruise Missile (Photo by Tasnim News Agency, CC BY 4.0)

  • Talks offer hope of sanctions relief, currency stabilization, and international legitimacy — all while buying time to continue uranium enrichment behind closed doors. The West calls it a “deal.” Iran calls it a jackpot.

No Clear Progress at Third Session of U.S.-Iran Nuclear Talks, Next Round Scheduled

Peloni:  No clear progress as delay persists, which is of course Iran’s purpose in the talks.

  • Talks Continue: A third round of negotiations between the United States and Iran over the future of Tehran’s nuclear program took place on April 26 in Muscat, the capital of Oman. The technical talks, mediated by Oman, lasted several hours between delegations led by White House envoy Steve Witkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. Iran’s top diplomat said that the “presence of experts” in Saturday’s discussions “was very useful.” The negotiations followed two previous rounds of talks in Rome on April 19 and Oman on April 12.

Save Iran and Restore Iran to the People of Iran – Cyrus Force Iran

Make Iran Great Again

MG Paul E Vallely & Cyrus Force Iran | | Apr 23, 2025

A Letter to President Trump and Mr. Witkoff,

Have you read the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran?

Are you aware that eight articles in this constitution clearly state that the Iranian regime must fight the United States to the end? When it was written 46 years ago, it even predicted that after 42 years, the U.S. would be defeated and the Islamic regime would dominate the entire world.

Khaled Hassan’s Revised Assessment: U.S.-Iran Nuclear Standoff and Shifting Calculus

Peloni:  Clear likelihood of US strike remains, but down from previous estimate.

Khaled Hassan | X | April 23, 2025

Original Prediction (90% likelihood of U.S. strike):
My earlier forecast of an imminent U.S. military strike against Iranian nuclear facilities rested on five interconnected factors:

  1. Iran’s Defiant Posture: Tehran’s refusal to engage in direct talks, rejection of demands to dismantle its nuclear program, and threats against U.S. regional assets created a volatile backdrop.
  2. Trump Administration’s Maximalist Demands: The U.S. explicitly ruled out reviving JCPOA-style limits, insisting instead on full dismantlement of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. President Trump’s threats of overwhelming military force (“bombing the likes of which they have never seen”) mirrored this uncompromising stance.

Who Is Al-Jolani, and Why It Matter?

Peloni:  MEMRI’s Yigal Carmon explores the history of Al-Jolani as he morphed from a pan-Arab Jihadist to a Syrian nationalist, explaining that the fate of the people of Syria will be defined by the degree of their acceptance of the rule of Islam under this new Islamist dictator.  While it wouldn’t change the predictions for the future, it is curious that Carmon did not relate the relevance of Jolini being Turkey’s puppet.

D9 operators: The humble heroes of Israel’s urban warfare, Part 3

You’re always going to see the worst of the worst, and the RPGs that are going to be fired, they’re going to you. And the explosives that are going to be blown up, they’re going to blow up on you. And the people who are going to die, you’re going to be the one to see them die.

Trump WARNED the World from Israel but THEY LAUGHED — Not Anymore!

Peloni:  Trump’s pro-Israel policy during his first term provided the context of a greater vision of security and stability in a region noted for its intractable dedication towards terrorism and chaos.  In fact, the sentiments which filled this speech should characterize the policies of Trump’s second administration.  A stronger, safer, more secure Israel makes for a stronger, safer and more secure America.  The mutual interests and values shared between these two great nations have been badly betrayed by policies put in place, both before and after Trump’s first term, and this betrayal has brought the contest between barbarism and civilization to a head, as Trump seeks to deal with the Iranian nuclear menace.  So, as his advisors and envoys seek to reassert Obama-like deals, it begs the question of whether the civilizational advocacy which Trump promoted in this speech some eight years ago has been replaced by something more timid, or if he continues to stand resolved to

“…drive out the terrorists and the extremists from our midst, obliterate this evil ideology, and protect and defend our citizens and people of the world.”

“People of the Book” or “People of the anime”?

While growing up in Moscow, I never once encountered Jews who hated Israel or wished her ill. Now, in Israel as well as among Diaspora Jewry, a series of betrayals, shame and meanness are imprinted in my memory like a newsreel.

Alexander Maistrovoy (A. Maistrovoy)

I grew up in Soviet Moscow, in a largely Jewish environment. We often talked about Israel, discussed what was happening in Israel, worried about this country.

I DO NOT REMEMBER a single example when I encountered disdain and negative attitudes toward Israel among Moscow Jews. Some preferred to discuss this topic in a whisper – more than understandable, given the regime’s prohibitions. Some were bolder.

Justice and Jihad: How Radical Islam and the Progressive Left Seek to Undermine America

“This American empire must fall”

This statement did not come from Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, from Vladimir Putin of Russia, or from China’s Xi Jinping. It came from a Muslim American resident of Dearborn, Michigan, who added: “People are willing to fight and put their lives on the line to bring these Western empires down.”

Will President Trump be a Modern Day Nero while Rome Burned

Iran’s Top Diplomat to Visit China as Tehran Seeks to Strengthen Ties Amid US Tensions

Sadly, it unfortunately looks like my earlier fears regarding President Trump may very well prove to be well founded.

The latest report in the above link illustrates that the soon to be atomic mullahs at the helm of Iran today are merely playing Trump as they’ve done with all his predecessors since “Apartheid Israel” Jimmy Carter in 1979, the same as the Roman Emperor Nero is said to have played his fiddle while Rome burned. The exception was with President Reagen.

A Poem for an Arab Terrorist

by Rafael Medoff

A defenseless Jewish woman is surrounded by a group of men with guns. The leader of the group raises a pistol and shoots the woman point-blank, killing her. It was a scene played out a million times and more during the Holocaust.

Except in this case, the year was 1978, the murderer was a 19 year-old Palestinian Arab terrorist named Dalal Mughrabi, and the victim was Gail Rubin, the niece of a U.S. senator. In recent days, the public’s attention has been drawn back to that atrocity by the controversy over Mohsen Mahdawi, a Columbia university student facing deportation. Mahdawi’s friends say he is against terrorism, but he has a long record of statements praising and admiring terrorists—including a poem he wrote in tribute to Ms. Mughrabi.

What’s really going on in Israel today

Peloni:  A very important read. Avi really outdoes himself in this latest essay in which he explores the insidious and destructive/corrosive role which the Deep State has played in Israel’s political/security apparatus going back decades.  He also addresses the very important and very relevant question as to why Bibi never made the changes which were needed to prevent the disasters which have mounted against Israel during his earlier tenure.  Relating the roots of Judicial reform and the efforts to control those advocating it, he exposes the impossible nature of that reform to proceed, even as it was clear thirty years ago that such a reform as is being stalled today was needed then, and yet failed to mature due to the elitist power infrastructure.

Avi Abelow | X | April 22,2025

This is very long and detailed post to help people understand what’s really going on in Israel today, behind the headlines about the Supreme Court’s proceedings on the firing of Shabak head Ronen Bar, because, as usual, we can not trust the reporting by the mainstream media that misses so much of the full story.

Ultimately, we are witnessing the Deep State Plot to Topple Netanyahu and Protect Shabak intelligence head Ronen Bar, even though he was fired by the government.

Follow me carefully, and until the end, because I will be explaining a lot, and I mean a lot!
