Peloni: It is inexplicable that Trump called on Israel to end the conflict quickly, beginning more than six months before he even won the 2024 US election, and yet today, he holds Israel in a state of frozen conflict with the promulgators of the October 7 slaughter simply to satisfy the demands of the Arab states who notoriously played the role of funding and facilitating that same October 7 slaughter.  This sword of Damocles needs to be ripped down from overhead of the IDF soldiers whose lives are placed under daily threat of being the next casualty in support of a fantastical peace process which was to have seen Hamas disarmed nearly 5 months ago.  This slow rolling and ongoing tragedy has to be ended.

Peloni:  Gun rights are a hallowed gift, stemming from English Common Law and enshrined in the US Constitution as the Second Amendment and affirmed in the US as described so well in Janet’s brilliant essay below.  Being able to defend one’s self, one’s loved ones, one’s community and one’s nation without the dependency upon state security or the armed forces provides the individual with a sense of sovereign influence upon protecting the right of dignity of men.  Jews in particular should always avail themselves of these protective measures to the limit of the law, be they in America, or in Israel, or somewhere else.  Notably, it is all too often that a terrorist in Israel is subdued by the incidental presence of an armed civilian with the means to do what needs doing in order to protect themselves and the innocents surrounding them from certain harm.  Knowledge of fire arm safety, utility and responsibility, alongside a dedication to defend those things most precious to us all, should be used to raise attention and support for gun rights among people in general, but the relative Jewish populations in particular, especially in an age in which we have come to be familiar with the scenes such took place on Bondi Beach to serve as reference to what comes from having one gun too few to stop a public slaughter from taken place right in front of us.  In the age of expanding Jew Hatred bathing the world in the wake of October 7, I am recalled of the phrase, “Every Jew a .22″, a phrase from another age and penned by Rabbi Meir Kahane.  What is considered by many to be a scandalous concept, ie a Jew capable and armed for of self defense, this phrase never lost its relevance, but it has never been so relevant as it stands today.

Over the decades, it’s become increasingly clear: the Second Amendment recognizes an individual right to bear arms.

Kelleigh Nelson:  Update: The SAVE Act passed in the House. It is being heavily promoted in the Senate and Senior Senator John Thune says it will be voted on. It is dangerous piece of legislation for American citizens.

The SAVE Act actually nullifies what Senator Jacob Howard said when he introduced the 14^th Amendment’s citizenship clause, “Its grant of citizenship would not include persons born in the United States who are foreigners or aliens.”

I would urge everyone to reread the article from September 3, 2024. The Save Act is a precursor to the National ID.

In April the Supreme court hears the case on anchor babies and the 14^th amendment.  If they pass this law that negates what Sen. Howard said, will that make anchor babies automatic citizens.  So what will the high court do?

Peloni:  So much hardware…Is it reasonable that Trump would put up a false offensive posture without the will to use ultimately use it?  I believe that he would use it, and likely, he will have to use it, but most importantly, he should use it.  The Iranians have been publicly shaming the US, threatening Trump personally, threatening military bases in the region, and threatening the US armada itself.  Deterrence can never be established with those who seek the End of Times in our age, which is likely why Trump has thus far refrained from doing so.  Still, the world is watching, and as the Iranians flaunt their disregard for American, US adversaries, particularly those adversaries in the Middle East, see this as weakness, rather than as restraint.

Peloni:  Ever focusing on strategic outcomes, Martin Sherman reiterates his policy recommendation for a strategically stable outcome in Iran via dismembering of the Iranian state into its relative ethnic regions as first espoused HERE.

It is important to grasp that the protests across all aspects of Iranian society, even those which usually support the regime, did not materialize during the 12 Day War.  While there were protests which emerged during that attack, it was far less broad of protest.  Only after the recent financial collapse did we see the breadth of protest which truly threatened the regime in Tehran.  This distinction lends itself to honestly question how much of the recent dissension is targeted towards the regime, and how much is actually the result of the change in Iran’s economy.  The distinction between these motivations is quite glaring and relevant to Sherman’s argument regarding the interest of the protestors.

Peloni:  Notably, the US has refrained from any mention in recent days regarding Iran’s ballistic missile program, indicating a clear retraction in the terms being demanded of them.  Might this also indicate Trump’s interest in a less encompassing attack on Iran if the negotiations fail?  I think that if regime change was ever on the table (which I doubt), it is clearly no longer being considered.  The US, Israel and the West would all be in a so much stronger position if Trump would prove me wrong, but it looks less and less likely.
