Janet Levy: The Austin City Council unanimously approved a formal resolution designating January as Muslim Heritage Month.  The council also elevated CAIR by proclaiming “CAIR-Austin Day,” flouting the Muslim Brotherhood group’s recent designation by Governor Abbott as a foreign terrorist organization (FTO).

It’s clear that CAIR has greatly expanded its leverage in Austin and continues building its power using false charges of “Islamophobia.”

NOTE:  CAIR was exposed as Hamas doing business in the U.S. in the 2008 Holy Land Foundation trial, the largest terrorist funding trial in American history.  Hamas is an arm of the Muslim Brotherhood.

No one ever thought this day would come: On Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, the flag of the Islamic State (ISIS) flew once again over Raqqa, the Syrian city that once served as its capital.

It was around ten years ago now that ISIS controlled a territory in Iraq and Syria that was larger than Britain. Given Barack Obama’s indifference (which is the best face one can put on his behavior) to its continued presence and even expansion, the ISIS caliphate looked as if it was here to stay. Peloni:  So we are being told that the butchers of October 7 are to not only remain, but remain intact as active political party??  With the PA overseeing the governing structures of Gaza, Hamas is to be allowed not only a presence in the Strip, but to play a functioning role in the emerging political system which was intended to replace them.  And if Trump has his way, the Turks and Qataris will be tasked with the enforcement of keeping their Muslim Brotherhood brothers in place.  In what realm of sanity could such a perversion of reality be deemed acceptable to even the most mendacious of actors!  This report has to be false.

The United States Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced on January 21 that it sanctioned a network of organizations it says are covertly controlled by Hamas. The move aims to limit the Islamist group’s ability to raise funds while improving international mechanisms for supporting legitimate Palestinian civil and humanitarian needs.

Peloni:  The US preference of Jolani over the Kurds is a recognition of Trump’s preference to promote and strengthen Turkey in the region, something which will only lead to further Turkish expansion and greater recognition of Turkey’s growing dominance in the region.  The only way this can lead to peace if all others in the region are forced into the subjugating role which the Kurds were forced to accept when abandoned by the US.

Peloni:  Was it a mistake for Bibi to join Trump’s Board of Peace?  Would Israel have been better positioned to boycott Trump’s peace initiative leaving almost no voice for Israel on this new world stage?  Is the Board of Peace the newest iteration of Oslo?  Weinstein and Jolovitz provide an interesting conversation, but I don’t agree that Bibi should have remained outside the box in Trump’s new remolding of the international community.  Unlike the Oslo Accords, if Israel had refused to participate, Trump’s BOP would have sailed all the same.

Peloni:  Israel developed Iron Dome and US funding made it possible to bring it to scale, as well as increasing the number of deployable missile batteries and interceptor stockpiles.

So while there is enough credit to go around, Trump should not shade Israel’s brilliant achievements in formulating, crafting and successfully producing the remarkable technology which will one day likely come to protect America from her enemies, which should be understood to include Trump’s erstwhile Muslim Brotherhood affiliates mislabeled as allies.
