Everything’s Coming Up Trump – Until The Pros Show Up

E. Rowell:  Is Trump’s election team consulting with Omega4America or going with yesterday’s technology and “Election Integrity Teams”?  Remember in 2020 when Harmeet Dhillon of the RNC said on national TV, “We’ve got teams of lawyers ready to go to prevent election fraud”?

“Best campaign ever” – until it counts

By OMEGA4AMERICA    13 May 2024

80,000 people flock to hear Trump in New Jersey.

Virginia and New Jersey now in play.

Trump is leading in every swing state – some by 11 points.

“The best campaign ever” is about to crush a dementia-riddled old man, who cannot speak, cannot campaign and cannot walk down a set of stairs.

It’s sunrise in America!

The Left Were Domestic Enemies From the Founding

Daniel Greenfield’s first book reveals we have fought today’s political battles before – and won.

By Mark Tapson, FRONT PAGE    13 May 2024

Our particularly American addiction to the now, the new, and the what’s next means we tend to perceive our political conflicts through the lens of “breaking news,” or at most, the weekly news cycle. It doesn’t help that more and more of us, especially young people, get our news from the ever-advancing timelines of social media, which draw us constantly forward moment by moment, denying us the time to reflect upon events in a broader historical context.

Is the Backlash to Universities Becoming Real?

Taxpayers, politicians, and employers are realizing that campus leftism has gone too far. The question is whether it’s too late to stop

By Richard Hanania, TABLET MAGAZINE    9 May 2024

In 2019, Ron DeSantis appointed Brian Lamb, a former point guard at the University of South Florida, to the 17-member board of regents for the state university system. The Florida governor, when he made the pick, was clearly thinking more about his athletic accomplishments than his ideological principles, as Lamb soon afterward became head of diversity and inclusion at JPMorgan Chase. It therefore probably shouldn’t have been surprising when, after the death of George Floyd, Lamb sent a memo to all presidents of public colleges in Florida demanding they “prioritize and support diversity, racial and gender equity, and inclusion” and telling them that they would be held “accountable for policies, programs, and actions” in this area.

The Fall of the House of Presidential Persecutions

E. Rowell:  Victor Davis Hanson’s title alludes to the short story by Edgar Allen Poe, “The Fall of the House of Usher,” in which a mysterious secret afflicts a house and eats away at its owner.  The mysterious secret remains hidden, but the symbol of that secret comes to light and destroys the family for good.*

What will be the endgame of all these attacks on the American legal system and the warping of it for blatant political purposes?

By Victor Davis Hanson, AMERICAN GREATNESS   13 May 2024

None of the five civil and criminal cases currently lodged against former President Donald Trump have ever had merit. They were all predicated on using the law to injure his re-election candidacy—given a widespread derangement syndrome among the left and a fear they cannot entrust a Trump/Biden election to the people.

These criminal and civil trials are merely the continuation of extra-legal efforts of the last eight years to destroy a presidential candidate in lieu of opposing him in transparent elections.

Israel is one of the only countries with two memorial days.

As they say in Israel: Yom HaZikaron reminds us about the cost of having a state, and Yom HaShoah about the cost of not.

Today is Memorial Day in Israel, one of the only countries that has two official memorial days.

Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Day) is observed on the 27th of the Hebrew month Nisan (in April or May) and Yom HaZikaron (Memorial Day) is a day for the fallen soldiers of Israeli wars and victims of terrorism, observed the day before Independence Day (tomorrow).

Israel Declares Independence from Biden

The 76th Independence Day will be a true test of Israel’s independence.

by Daniel Greenfield | FrontPage | May 13, 2024

This week, Israel will mark its 76th Independence Day. Usually a day filled with parades and fireworks, the Israeli people will instead buckle down to the grim business of being at war.

Too much of the population is either deployed in the field or may soon be, displaced from their homes near the Gaza border or aware that at any moment rocket alerts could sound for incoming missiles from Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen or Iran. This year, Yom HaZikaron, Memorial Day annually observed for the fallen, will overshadow Yom Ha’atzmaut or Independence Day.

Biden administration throws obstacles at Israeli op in Rafah while tooling an unfinished pier around the Eastern Med

Elections have consequences.

J.E. Dyer, The OPTIMISTIC CONSERVATIVE May 9, 2024

The short summary of where Israel’s war in Gaza stands this week is that Israel has seized the Gaza side of the Rafah crossing and begun warnings and evacuation of Rafah, followed by bombing, in preparation for the final push to remove Hamas from Gaza.  The Biden administration is attempting to impede this operation by touting a supposed ceasefire/hostages agreement with Hamas, warning Israel not to go into Rafah, and withholding a previously-approved and scheduled delivery of munitions to Israel in order to extort Israel’s policy compliance on the Rafah campaign matter.

Biden Regime’s Betrayal of Israel is Not Just to Get Votes

Peloni:  It is inexplicable that so many reference the motivation for the Biden betrayal of Israel to be due to electoral interests.  The move by the current administration to revive the Iranian pivot long preceded the astroturf campus protests, and it ignores the opportunity costs of  jeopardizing the electoral support of some ~80% of Americans who support Israel while pursuing the support of Arab Americans.  The motivation in betraying Israel is not relatable to electoral math.

It’s also the result of the Muslim Brotherhood infiltration of his administration.

by Robert Spencer | FrontPage | May 13, 2024

The pressure on the Biden regime over its ostensible but hollow (at best) support for Israel has been high for months. The regime’s betrayal of Israel has been widely explained as a capitulation to threats from Muslim leaders that Old Joe would receive no Muslim votes in November unless he stabbed the Jewish state in the back. That consideration likely had a great deal to do with the betrayal, but the pressure also comes from within the regime: his handlers have appointed Muslim Brotherhood-linked haters of Israel to numerous positions of influence, and that influence is being felt.

The People Setting America on Fire

An investigation into the witches’ brew of billionaires, Islamists, and leftists behind the campus protests

A person stands among tents at an encampment set up by pro-Palestinian protesters on the campus of Columbia University in New York on April 25, 2024LEONARDO MUNOZ/AFP VIA GETTY IMAGES

Over the past several weeks, Americans have witnessed what has seemed like a mass outpouring of support for terror on elite college campuses. At Columbia, Yale, Princeton, NYU, UCLA, Northwestern, Texas, and elsewhere, masked mobs have occupied schools with tent encampments, established self-proclaimed “autonomous zones,” clashed with police, harassed and threatened visibly Jewish students, and issued demands for their universities to divest from Israeli “genocide.” Politically, moreover, the protests have displayed an incoherent mix of campus progressivism, hardcore Islamism and Arab nationalism, and revolutionary anarchism and communism, including open praise for North Korea. The only unifying thread would appear to be opposition to Israel and its alleged imperial patron, the United States.

Only in our absurd world, terror is rewarded with statehood – opinion

Only in the world of the absurd can the majority of the international community deliberately ignore the openly genocidal intentions of Iran, Hamas, and other Palestinian terror organizations.

Only in the world of the absurd can a despicable purveyor of terror, Hamas, carry out a brutal massacre, killing over a thousand innocent people, torturing, murdering, and carrying out sadistic mass rape, and all this over a space of a few hours, and then run-away home to Gaza, taking with them hundreds of hostages.

President Trump Challenges ‘Crooked Joe’ at Massive Rally in Democrat Stronghold of New Jersey

Peloni | May 11, 2024

In a massive campaign rally on Saturday night, Trump addressed the issues of antisemitism, the astroturf riots on university campuses in the US, and the funding going to Democratic coffers from antisemites, and anti-American donors.  Here are the relevant excerpts from Trump’s speech:

Just think about this – this week he announced that he will withhold shipping weapons to Israel as they fight to eradicate Hamas terrorists in Gaza.  Now was shocking to hear, even while there are still American hostages being held by Hamas.  And they’re saying October 7th never happened.  You know they say that and Biden has fallen for it.  Crooked Joe’s action is one of the worst betrayals of an American Ally in the history of our country.

I support Israel’s right to win its war on terror… you got to do what’s right you got.  It was a terrible attack, October 7th was a terrible attack.  I don’t know, it’s probably bad politically but I don’t care.  You have to do the right thing.  There would have been no war in Gaza with me in the White House.  There would not have even been a chance you know.  Iran was broke when I was President.  I said if you buy oil anybody buys oil from Iran they can’t do business with the United States.  They were totally broke.  Now they have $250 billion.  They made it all in three and 1/2 years.

Hamas declared that it had “accepted” a ceasefire agreement, prompting some 3,000 news organizations to breathlessly push out news alerts to that effect.

The truth is Hamas has not accepted any of the 1,401 proposals which Israel has offered in recent weeks. Regardless, the foundation was laid for reports to be, “Israel rejected a ceasefire and invaded Rafah.”

All Roads Lead to Jordan for a Palestinian Homeland

Interview with Mudar Zahran, Secretary General of the Jordanian Opposition Coalition

By Jonny Gould, YOUTUBE    11 April 2024

In Jonny Gould’s Jewish State Podcast, Mudar Zahran explains what Palestinians want:  dignity and a homeland where they can have normal lives.  He explains how the Palestinian leaders want all of Israel, which is more about hating Jews than about any good feeling towards Palestinians.

He states that the Palestinians in Jordan don’t want to exercise the right of return.  This was established in a US State Department cable, “The Grand Bargain.”

“A similar position to the current situation of the Palestinians was India and Pakistan.  The separation enabled all the citizens of each state to have citizenship. ”

“All wars are unfair and the results of wars are unfair.  For some reason, the globalist powers don’t seem to want the Israelis and the Palestinians to move on. ”

U.S. Aid to Israel Hurts Israel. Biden Just Proved It. | Opinion

Peloni:  Israel needs to reestablish its independence from American by ending its dependence from Amerian ‘aid’.  Bibi recognized the problematic nature of the aid back in his first term in office and committed to ending the aid within ten years.  That was in 1996.  It is most regretful that this policy commitment failed to materialize, and even more regretful that Israeli reliance upon the aid actually became more acute in the nearly three decades which have passed.  It is time to cut the ties that bind Israel’s freedom of action, threatening its raison d’etre, the defense of the Jewish people.

By Liel Leibovitz Editor at large | Newsweek | Tablet Magazine

Last July, my colleague Jacob Siegel and I wrote a piece for Tablet Magazine entitled “End U.S. Aid to Israel.” It made three simple arguments.

First, American aid is anything but. The roughly $3.8 billion that flows from Washington to Jerusalem each year isn’t a gimme—it’s a backdoor subsidy to defense contractors that may be nominally based in the U.S. but are global corporations invested in global conflict. And whereas Israelis were previously allowed to spend up to 26 percent of the aid package on domestic products, the Obama administration changed the terms to make sure not a single dollar ever left the United States. To call this arrangement aid, then, is misleading; if you want to see what real American aid looks like, follow the dollars, $75 billion of which were awarded to Ukraine in 2022 alone.

Eden Golan: “Every scorn gave me strength, I dedicate the participation to the abductees”

Peloni:  The sense of bravery and spirit embodied by Golan, both on and off stage, has been highly effective in embodying the pluck of the Israeli people, refusing to be cowered into accepting defeat, and persevering against great odds as they effectively face their abusers with poise and skill.  Indeed, it is very inspiring to know that the the coming generation is characterized by people of such strength, vitality and creativity as demonstrated by Eden Golan.  The fact that her performance won a close second highest televoting score demonstrates the resonance with which her persona and performance resonated with the general publics of the world.

Israel’s representative finished fifth in Eurovision 2024 and Switzerland was crowned the winner. “We had one goal – to make Israel’s strong voice known to the world – and we achieved it in a big way,” Golan said, adding, “There were difficult moments, but we didn’t give up and gave it our all.” Keren Pels: “There are women and men who go through the worst of all in Gaza. We will continue to express their voice even after Eurovision”

After almost completely ignoring the judges, Eden Golan came in fifth place tonight (between Saturday and Sunday) in Eurovision thanks to the score from the audience. “I’m so proud of where we got to,” she said shortly after the results were announced. “Proud for the privilege I was given to represent my country with honor, and proud to be the one sent on this mission this year.”
