Israel Retires its Patriots Yet Europe is Setting up Manufacturing

It is unlikely Israel’s Patriots will head for the Scrap Heap

Stephen Bryen, Weapons and Strategy Substack    May 1, 2024

GEM-T Missile Launch

While Europe is in the process of setting up a production line to manufacture GEM-T missiles for European Patriot batteries, Israel has decided to take its Patriot systems out of service. Do the Israelis know something the Europeans do not?

The GEM-T, or Guidance-enhanced tactical missiles, are part of the Patriot PAC-2 air defense system. This missile can intercept aircraft, drones, helicopters and some tactical missiles. It may be able to hit glide bombs like the ones being used by the Russians in Ukraine.

Columbia Elects an Israeli Student

Maya Platek calls for dialogue at a school overrun by an angry and defiant mob.

By William McGurn, WSJ April 29/24

Meet the surprising president-elect of the student body of the School of General Studies, one of Columbia University’s four undergraduate colleges. Her name is Maya Platek. She is a proud Israeli who once worked for the Israel Defense Forces spokesperson’s unit.

Anyone watching the goings-on at the university’s Morningside Heights campus these past two weeks might easily mistake Columbia for a wholly owned subsidiary of Hamas Inc. Ms. Platek’s election throws a wrench into the protester narratives. It signals that at least some at Columbia want students to be able to walk the campus without harassment—and life to get back to normal.

Democrats Lose Big Time After Appeals Court Denies Request to Reconsider Whether Date Requirement for Mail-In Ballots is Enforceable in Pennsylvania

T. Belman.  It looks like Pennsylvania is in the bag for Trump.

By  Apr. 30, 2024 5:40 pm

Last month the Third US Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that mail-in ballots with no dates cannot be counted by Pennsylvania election officials.

Democrats use this tactic frequently to add more ballots to their candidate’s totals following election day.

A Monday poll found that nearly three-quarters of Americans support Israel’s planned military operation to enter the city of Rafah in southern Gaza and eliminate the remaining Hamas terrorists there.

Seventy-two percent of Americans think Israel should “move forward with an operation in Rafah to finish the war with Hamas, doing its best to avoid civilian casualties even though there will be casualties,” while 28 percent believe the Jewish state should “back off now and allow Hamas to continue running Gaza,” according to the Harvard CAPS/Harris poll.

University of Florida Puts Columbia to Shame with ‘Perfect Statement’ After Arresting Agitators: ‘Not a Daycare’

By Johnathan Jones, WESTERN JOURNAL  April 30, 2024 at 8:05am

While universities across the country have let anti-Israel demonstrators take over their campuses, the University of Florida has taken a different approach.

Not only will school administrators not think twice about removing disruptive agitators from university property, but a UF spokesman tacitly fired off an insult at pro-Hamas, American lost youth on Monday.

Nine people were arrested in Gainesville after protesters chose to ignore warnings from the school in regard to what would and wouldn’t be allowed on campus.

Biden White House considering welcoming Hamas-supporting, Jew-hating Palestinians to America as ‘refugees’

T. Belman. They may have fled the “war zone” but they haven’t fled Gaza. Thus technically they aren’t refugees. Biden’s policy , so far, is to prevent them from leaving Gaza.

This would be very bad for the US and as a result very bad for Israel.  Better to contain them in an Israel controlled Gaza. On the other hand Israel is committed to allowing Palestinians to emigrate. I’d like your thoughts on this.

Up to 800,000 have fled the war zone in Gaza

Biden White House considering welcoming Hamas-supporting, Jew-hating Palestinians to America as ‘refugees’

CBS News is reporting that the Biden White House is hot to bring up to 800,000 Palestinians to America as “refugees.”

This would be done under the Refugee Act of 1980 and include work permits, food stamps, housing assistance, free education for their children, along with a fast-track to U.S. citizenship, which can be accomplished in as little as five years. Refugees that arrive in the U.S. at age 65 or older qualify almost immediately for Social Security, even though they have never worked a day in their lives in this country or paid a dollar in federal income taxes. The Fish Rots From the Head

By Park Macdougald, THE SCROLL    26 April 2024

The Big Story

Progressive billionaires aligned with the Democratic Party are sponsoring the nationwide wave of campus protests against the faux genocide in Gaza, operating through the same archipelago of dark-money NGOs and professional radical cadres that fueled the domestic unrest of the summer of 2020. We said as much yesterday, but in a Friday report, the New York Post offered more details on the money trail, which we’re mixing with our reporting:

Babies Are Just Future Fascists

By Peachy Keenan, AMERICAN MIND    29 April 2024

It’s time for me and the other “far-right” natalists to admit defeat. Liberals are committing genetic suicide and going extinct, despite our efforts to talk them out of it. They are running right off the cliff and into oblivion. New baby data shows that last year saw the lowest American birth rate ever. It’s the lowest since they started tracking it. Yikes!

  • This was more than a slight. Aside from a calculated insult to the dignity of the United States, the move indicates Xi Jinping is making clear that the accepted norms of diplomacy will not be respected by China anymore.” — Charles Burton, former Canadian diplomat who served in Beijing, to Gatestone Institute, April 27, 2024.

Take Back the Campus!

Don’t expel just Hamas supporters – expel the neo-Nazi Left.

Daniel Greenfield, Front Page     April 30, 2024

Who would have ever expected that the first terror bases in the country would be on campus?

Anyone who was paying attention.

In 2008, David Horowitz traveled around the nation’s universities warning about “Hamas on Campus” and a “movement for a second Holocaust of the Jews” supported by Students for Justice in Palestine and the Muslim Student Association.

Iran emboldened, Israel isolated, America weakened

By Pete Riehm, Renew America     April 25, 2024

The mess in the Middle East is bigger and worse than at any other time in half a century. The hatred of Israel by radical Arab and Muslim groups and nations is documented and expected. So, it’s obvious the basic conflict is that Israel has been defending itself for 75 years against those who seek their destruction. The USA has stood steadfastly by Israel for most of those 75 years, but the American policy toward Israel changed about 15 years ago. Democrat administrations still pay lip service to defending Israel, but their actions are confusing and contradictory. With a feckless American foreign policy, Iran is emboldened, Israel is isolated, and America is weakened.

Rafah operation must take place—even in defiance of the US

The deadlock in negotiations for the release of Israeli captives, coupled with American accusations against the group, has paved the way for the offensive.

(April 30, 2024 / Israel Hayom)

As signs of an imminent IDF operation in Rafah intensify, there is growing concern that Israel will unnecessarily exercise self-imposed restraint by acting with insufficient force, so as not to upset the Biden administration, the Egyptians, or the ICC prosecutor at The Hague.

Meanwhile, Hamas is exploiting the prolonged waiting period and preparing well for the ground operation in this sector, which will undoubtedly pose complex operational challenges for the IDF. Despite the political pressures, Israel’s decision-makers must make it a top priority to attain the objectives with minimal risk to the lives of our forces.

INN    April 29, 2024

Netanyhu

CNN interviewed Israeli journalist Amit Segal about the current status of the hostages negotiations.

“Hamas has been demanding one thing that Israel cannot give – the end of the war. That is why I am pessimistic about the negotiations – they understand that they will be finished if the war continues for just six more weeks.”

Hamas official: We will move to Jordan if forced to leave Qatar

Peloni:  And herein is where the rubber meets the road, as Islamists of every persuasion feel welcomed at the court of the duplicitous Hashemite kinglet.  This is a great distinction from what will characterize the operational phase of the Jordanian Option, as no Islamists will be tolerated by Mudar in Jordan for the simple fact that Mudar and the Islamists, all of them, are mortal enemies.  Hence, the sea change which will take place under the enactment of the JO will see the Islamists completely isolated from a realm in which they have exercised significant influence and in which they still currently hold significant authority.  This is why Marzook stated clearly that if they are forced from the comforts which they currently hold in Qatar that they will seek similar comforts under the protection of the Hashemites.  For those who refuse to recognize that the Hashemites represent an obstacle to peace rather than any solution to it, this revelation should be seen as a significant surprise.  It shouldn’t, however, be surprising to any of us, as Mudar has been warning us of this fact for many years now.

‘We (Hamas) will determine the fate of the war, not the Zionist regime or the USA, who thought they could destroy Hamas in a week.’

INN     April 29, 2024

Mousa Abu Marzook

Mousa Abu Marzook, a member of Hamas’ political bureau, denies reports regarding the Hamas leadership leaving Qatar, calling them ‘media propaganda with no basis in reality’.

In an interview with the Iranian channel ‘Al-Alam’, Abu Marzook said that the reports were intended to pressure Hamas in the context of indirect negotiations on a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange (hostages in exchange for security prisoners).
