American aid to Israel in the form of generous military grants allows the State of Israel to equip itself with the best of the American weapons arsenal according to the needs of the IDF. The advantage for the Americans is both political and economic:

Politically, it causes the State of Israel to become dependent militarily and politically on the United States while it enables the United States to limit the freedom of action of the IDF and the State of Israel.

Economically, it subsidizes the American arms industry.

A few weeks ago, during a monologue on the popular U.S. sketch-comedy show “Saturday Night Live,” American comedian Ramy Youssef said he is praying for God to “free the people of Palestine.”

Youssef, who is a practicing Muslim and whose parents are Egyptian, recounted being asked recently by his friend to pray for his family in Gaza.

“That night I go to pray and my prayers are … complicated, I’ve got a lot to fit in. I’m like ‘God, please, please help Ahmed’s family, please stop the suffering, stop the violence. Please free the people of Palestine, please,” Youssef said to cheers and applause.

This is mendacious hit piece that shows Tucker’s generally well-hidden hand. The Christian population of Bethlehem all but disappeared after the PLO took over in 1996 due to Islamic persecution. The only Christian population in the Middle East that is growing is the Christian community in Israel.

The Christian community in Gaza disappeared after Hamas took over in 2005.

In 2002, PLO terrorists took nuns and priests hostages in a standoff with IDF forces in the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.

We’ve all wondered if the fix is already in. Given the irregularities of the last election, and the manner in which the whole of the U.S. establishment rallied around one side, maybe a Biden victory in November is a foregone conclusion.

For the first time, Israel deployed the C-Dome naval point defense system late Monday to intercept an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that had entered its airspace near the southern city of Eilat.

The interceptor missile was launched from a Sa’ar 6-class corvette, which had only recently been commissioned into the navy.

• The tragic unintentional killing of seven aid workers from the World Central Kitchen (WCK) has created a swell of international outrage, including a statement by President Biden in which he claimed that Israel had not done enough to protect aid workers.
• Other governments have now demanded a ceasefire, which would effectively end Israel’s goal of dismantling Hamas.
• While awful, tragedies of this sort are commonplace in war. An academic study conducted in 2018 found that hundreds of medical facilities were attacked in a variety of conflicts over the last three decades.

Speech comes in many forms, of course, from news, entertainment, books, and movies, to singing protest songs, protesting in the street, or just having a good old chin-wag at your local café or bar. In a free society, the chances are that whatever anyone says, about half of the population will agree with that person and the other half won’t. Some may even be “offended.” So what?

In a totalitarian society, where no offending speech is allowed, there’s the official truth and everything else is a crime. Who wants to live like that?

Israel looks increasingly isolated on the world stage. But one country has stood unwaveringly by Israel’s side: Germany. It stands out as a model of support. Not because it gives Israel a free pass on every controversy. But because it has not buckled on its fundamental pro-Israel positions, even when international pressure builds.

First, let’s acknowledge that Germany’s strong pro-Israel positions are rooted in the country’s need to right historic wrongs. As Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated, “German history and our responsibility arising from the Holocaust make it our duty to stand up for the existence and security of the State of Israel.”

But Germany’s guilt over the Holocaust does not in any way call into question the principled positions that continue to stand in stark contrast to the bizarre behavior of some of Israel’s other Western allies, six months into a war that Israel did not start.

Denazification (Entnazifizierung, in German) is “a set of measures aimed at purging post-war German and Austrian society, culture, press, economy, education, jurisprudence and politics from the influence of Nazi ideology.”

Peace in the Middle East does not require the creation of a new Arab state, but “the purification of Muslim society, culture, press, economy, education, jurisprudence and politics from the influence of the Nazi ideology of Islamic terrorism.”
