A Response To The UK Exclusion of Israelis From The Royal College of Defence Studies Over Hamas-Sired War In Gaza

by Gerald A. Honigman

I recently learned of Great Britain’s upcoming nasty treatment of Israel as reported in the above link. This is simply the latest episode of such troubling behavior.

What immediately comes to mind is the outrageous double standards and hypocrisy that Great Britain, which conquered lands and peoples more than any other empire in recorded history, is displaying towards Jews who, while having  undergone several unfortunate exiles in their own 4,000 year old, substantially corroborated and recorded history, have finally returned to—the ancestral lands of their Patriarchs and Matriarchs…Eretz Yisrael, including at least a substantial part of Judaea and Samaria.

President Trump ‘won’t allow Israel to annex West Bank’ but says hostage deal could happen ‘soon’

Peloni:  Bibi must hold to declaring sovereignty over Judea and Samaria.  He should do this both because of the Europeans declaration of a Palestinian state and in spite of it.  He should do so because of Trump’s longstanding support of Israel and in spite of his declaration that it will not happen.  He should do so because it needed to have been done decades ago and in spite of the fact that it was not done before October 7.  Sovereignty is a measure of a nation’s independence, and if Israel is not both free and capable of making such a basic choice on its own, it becomes no more than a Galut state of Jews.  With respect, and with determination, Israel must make its stand on this point and not surrender.  No matter the cost, Israel will survive doing so, whereas capitulation to Trump, regional threats, and European connivances, will spell its certain destruction.

Trump says he wants Gaza War ‘over with’, expresses optimism that deal can be reached

Amid speculations over Israel’s possible response to a wave of “Palestine” recognitions, U.S. President Donald Trump declared Thursday that he wouldn’t allow Israel to annex Judea and Samaria, internationally known as the West Bank.

UNRWA and Hamas Joined at the Hip

UNRWA staff in Gazan schools, both teachers and principals, include thousands of active members of Hamas. Hamas terrorists hide themselves and their weapons in UNRWA schools without any complaint from UNRWA itself. UNRWA teachers turn classes, no matter what the subject, into occasions for brainwashing students to hate the Jews and to encourage them to pledge themselves to commit violence against the hated Israelis. More on UNRWA and Hamas, joined at the hip, can. be found in the new report by the watchdog group UN Watch here: “UNRWA ignored Hamas ties in schools, fostering terrorism – UN Watch report,” by Mathilda Heller, Jerusalem Post, September 22, 2025:

Post-Rosh Hashana War Update

Avi Abelow

Today Jews around the world are commemorating the Fast of Gedaliah, a day that commemorates the tragic assassination of a Jewish leader and the collapse of Jewish sovereignty following the destruction of the First Temple. While we fast to remember, we must also open our eyes to the powerful contrast unfolding today in our ancestral homeland.

Yes, the world is once again aligning against us. More and more Western countries are recognizing a so-called “State of Palestine,” literally rewarding genocidal terror without even demanding the release of our hostages. Not a word. Not a condition. Just blind support for genocidal murderers. This isn’t diplomacy, it’s the global normalization of Jew-hatred, dressed in suits and resolutions.

TRUMP PRESENTS GAZA PEACE PLAN TO MUSLIM LEADERS AT U.N.

Peloni:  The problem arises from the fact that Netanyahu has consistently and repeatedly asserted his disinterest in governing Gaza.  If reports are to be believed, which is still in question in some minds, Netanyahu’s opposition to this fact was reaffirmed to Trump when the Blair/Kushner efforts first began.  Since Israel will not govern Gaza, it requires some offshoring of this awesome responsibility, and the simple truth is that there is no other power or group who should be trusted with safeguarding Israel’s interest in the Strip, not even the Abraham Accord partners who have defied Israel’s right to have entered this war in the first place.  While these partners have an interest in quelling the radicals in their own backyard, doing so effectively in Israel’s backyard will only protect Israel, while complicating matters for any Sunni member state of the AA.  If Israel is to survive into perpetuity, it requires that Israel secure the strip herself, and not allow any third party, and certainly not the corrupt, terror complicit PA, take control over Gaza.  The costs of assuming this responsibility should reasonably be understood to not be immaterial, but these costs will ultimately give Israel the security and assurance of what will come to be in the Gaza Strip.  Failing to do the heavy lifting involved in governing Gaza will sooner or later come to shoot Israel in the proverbial foot, once again.  So it is back to mowing the grass, or doing what is needed to remove the roots.  Everything else is simply charades.

Paul Schnee | Sept 25, 2025

This plan guarantees the continuation of the conflict in the not-too-distant future. It is not a peace plan. It is merely an armistice that allows Hamas to survive and its monstrous leadership to go unpunished nor does it impose any cost upon Egypt, a country that receives $1.5 billion in economic aid from the United States every year, for supplying Hamas with weapons through the sophisticated tunnels discovered by the IDF at Rafah. The plan demonstrates that terrorism works.

Jordanian textbooks fail the test of tolerance, peace and coexistence with Jews and Israel

Peloni

In a recent IMPACT-se report, following the review of 294 Jordanian text books, Jordan has been seen to once again have fallen well short of UNESCO’s standards of peace and tolerance in education.  This comes following reforms in the Jordanian education system which oversaw the replacement and revisions of existing texts due to their content.  Notably this most recent report includes evidence of deterioration despite the reported reforms.  Here are just some of the findings described in the INPACT-se report:

US envoy Witkoff expects ‘breakthrough’ in talks over Gaza future after meeting with Arab leaders

Peloni:  Additionally, Macron announces that Trump assured him that Israeli “annexation” (read as extension of sovereignty) of Judea and Samaria is a Red Line and would mean the end of the Abraham Accords.  If this is not a fantasy imagined by Macron, Israel should still declare the extension of sovereignty.  The Abraham Accords have only one purpose for Israel, and that is to secure its own permanence in the region.  As it is instead being used as a cudgel with which to hold Israel fast while international agreements are used to embolden and empower its enemies, Israel alone will be the loser.  Herein lies the reality:  A diplomatic assault has been leveraged against Israel in preference of making the Two State Nightmare permanent, and Israel MUST respond.  The response which has been warned by Israel with greater and greater assurance has been to extend Sovereignty to some portion of Judea and Samaria.  Ignoring the fact that the use of something as basic as Israel’s right to recognize these lands as her own should not be limited to that of  a penalty against the international infractions of international law, Israel must see this thru, recognize Judea and Samaria, no matter the impact which be incurred on the Abraham Accords.  If the Accords are so friable as to be undone by Israel’s recognition of its own lands, they would make a poor foundation for the future in any event.  Notably, the Arabs will not respect Israel acquiescing to the permanence of the Two State Solution, but will in fact see it as their own victory and the fruit of the October 7 attack as is already being openly discussed by some – these are two outcomes which can not be permitted.  Declare Sovereignty NOW!

Qatar’s Al Jazeera is one of two top sources of info used by AI Chatbots!

At UN, Trump Tells Arab and Muslim Leaders He Will ‘End the War in Gaza’

Peloni:  Erdogan’s gleeful statement following this meeting was an early foreshadowing of concern following this meeting which excluded Israel’s participation.  Another point of concern came amid the news of  Trump’s statement that “I’m on the side of Israel. I’ve been on the side of Israel, really, my whole life, and we’re going to get a solution, and it’s going to be a solution that’s good for everybody.”  Yet this conclusion defies the fact that what is good for Israel, and for the West/US by extension, would not be good for those Arab govts who were included in the meeting with Trump, all of whom have been advocating for the war to end since before it began.

Meeting with regional powers in New York, Trump calls Gaza talks his “most important meeting” and vows to push for hostages’ release and permanent ceasefire.

‘We are afraid of Israel’: Syrian & Lebanese presidents call for end of ‘Israeli aggression’ before security pacts

Peloni:  Another Arab seeking peace while demanding Israeli concessions…Since coming to power, Jolani has done little to effect a peaceful transition to his Jihadist autocratic rule as he has demonized and butchered the minorities in his own country, and now demands that Israel withdraw from its buffer zone and, to recall the words of Amb. Barrack, have the Syrian minorities submit to the rule of this Syrian despot.  Rather than supporting minority submission to Jolani, Washington should be pressing for either autonomous minority regions in Syria, if not the more secure move to divide Syria into its parts, and by doing so, render Syria’s capabilities under any leadership that much less of a threat to regional peace.

Why capturing the last Hamas fighters alive should be Israel’s strategic—and moral—victory

Peloni:  In reading Jalal’s description of how to complete this war, is it really in Israel’s interest to prosecute it with a priority on preserving life on the part of our enemies, or should it be in the pursuit of a decisive, albeit well tardy, victory over its enemies?  I think this is an important discussion to be had.  War should not be the pursuit of morality or legality, but of achieving deterrence to future wars.  In fact, war is the undoing of social norms where morality and legality are better represented than on the battlefield, and that when these values are misplaced on the battlefield it comes at the cost of not just losing the deterrent effect of war, but also at the precious cost of soldiers lives as well.  So, while I can grasp Jalal’s perspective is that a primary objective should be that of denying the remaining Hamas combatants the ability of claiming victory as martyrs, I still argue that a quick, effective, and decisive victory has always been what is needed in this war, and that this still remains the case today, albeit it is already nearly two years too late to describe any victory gained as being quick.

I am curious of what others have to say on this topic.

By Jalal Tagreeb

Since the atrocities of 7 October 2023, Israel and Hamas have been locked in a war that has scarred a region and shattered lives. Now, more than two years on, the conflict appears to be entering its decisive phase. Israeli forces have pushed into Gaza City in a concerted ground operation and military briefings publicly estimate between two and three thousand Hamas fighters remain concentrated there.

Trump taunts Russia as ‘paper tiger’ and tells Zelensky he will help Ukraine win all of its land back

Peloni:  So no peace in Ukraine after all?  How exactly is it that Ukraine is going to regain its lost territory with a deficit in men, material, and morale with which it has struggled since the outset of the conflict, which Trump appears to now be backing.  While it is unlikely that Putin will react to this as a declaration of war, he will likely see it as a continuation of the Washington/European attempt to defeat Russia, to which Trump had previously been opposed.
