The window of salvation for Europe and European culture and society is closing fast, with only the indigenous, non-invading European peoples to push back the Jihadist invasion with which European leaders have saddled European society. Indeed, already Europe is supporting Jihadi goals in Israel while pursuing autocratic projects such as judicially ignoring opposition electoral victories. With this in mind, to what exactly is it that Europe might object about Erdogan’s Islamist autocratic take over of his country?

The Israelis have been furiously protesting against the Western countries, led by France and its anti-Israel leader, President Emmanuel Macron, that have announced their recognition of a “state of Palestine” in September at the opening of the UN General Assembly. Protests are not enough. Israel must make clear that it will answer this menace with a move of its own — to annex part, or all, of Judea and Samaria. It has a perfect right to do so. Judea and Samaria, not Tel Aviv and Haifa, are the places where Jews have lived and made most of their history over the past 3500 years. That area is the heart of their ancestral homeland. The Arabs arrived more than 2000 years later. That long history is what convinced the League of Nations to include all of Judea and Samaria in the territory assigned to the Mandate for Palestine, which would in time become the Jewish state of Israel.

Israel possesses overwhelming military superiority over Hamas. The IDF operates as a world-class military force, while Hamas consists of terrorists who deliberately hide behind civilian shields, placing munitions beneath hospitals, schools, and residential areas. This tactic surpasses even Nazi wartime conduct in its cynical disregard for innocent lives.
Israel also holds the far stronger claim to contested territories. Following John Locke’s principle that those who first “mixed their labor” with land hold rightful ownership, the Jewish presence in this region dates back three millennia, while Arab settlement occurred only centuries ago. Archaeological evidence beneath the Al Aqsa Mosque confirms the Jewish Second Temple’s prior existence, demonstrating clear historical precedence.

In a private conversation with Jewish leaders, and in public, I compared Israel’s triumph in 1967 over a coalition of Arab states including Egypt, Jordan, and Syria, with support from other Arab countries like Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Tunisia, Morocco, and Algeria, with its recent strikes against Hamas leaders in Doha.
This comparison was deliberate in ways I have and haven’t explained. The pros, which I explained publicly, are clear: deterrence is back on the menu. Like the 1967 triumph, the Doha strikes showed the world and Israel’s adversaries that Israel means business and that its enemies aren’t far from its reach. And, much like in 1967, Israel surprised its adversaries with its capabilities.
