MK Simcha Rothman tells INN the opposition is not negotiating in good faith in the talks at the President’s Residence.

22.5.23

The chairman of the Knesset Constitution and Law Committee, MK Simcha Rothman, believes that the judicial reforms he and Justice Minister Yariv Levin proposed has not been completely dropped from the government’s agenda despite the ongoing negotiations to pass a different version of the reforms at the President’s Residence.

“I believe that the reform is not finished, it will be implemented, and also that the coalition and its leaders do not plan to allow endless time wasting in negotiations that lead nowhere,” Rothman said in an interview with Israel National News – Arutz Sheva.

By J.M. Phelps, EPOCH TIMES  21.5.23

Two former military officials are sounding the alarm that the depletion of U.S. munitions as a result of Washington’s support of Ukraine could end up benefitting China. This is occurring as the communist regime is modernizing its military posing a grave threat to the United States, they say.

Israel is not doing enough to prevent the manufacture of rockets in Gaza

T. Belman. Israel should also retake the southern 5 miles of Gaza so that she is in charge of the southern border not Egypt.

We must set a clear goal for our security forces to stop the terrorists’ buildup as well as disrupt it, making it a major objective for the “campaign between the wars.”

By  Meir Ben Shabbat, TOI  15.5.23

To truly transform the situation, Israel would have to carry out a major and protracted operation deep inside Gaza. The cost might not be worth it. The alternative to such a campaign is the repeated cycles Israel and the Palestinians engage in. The drawbacks are clear and plenty, but if we want to make the most of those rounds of hostilities we have to use the relative periods of calm they provide to engage in a methodic, low-profile campaign to stop the terrorists from getting more powerful.

Plans for 400 new homes inside a Palestinian neighborhood straddling the West Bank and East Jerusalem were given the go-ahead by the Jerusalem District Planning and Building Committee last week, paving the way for Israel to drastically expand a Jewish enclave in the heart of the town.

The proposal for a new neighborhood in Abu Dis, a Palestinian town sliced in half by the West Bank security barrier, was given the green light after the committee found that it had met threshold conditions for initial approval, the Times of Israel’s Hebrew sister site Zman Yisrael reported Sunday.

Jewish leaders fail to understand the importance of fighting the demonization of Israel

AMERICANS FOR PEACE AND TOLERANCE

Sunday, May 14, was the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Israel.

For the Arabs, the day marks the failure of their effort to destroy the Jewish state and slaughter its people. Like any war, the conflict resulted in the creation of refugees. Ignoring the historical facts and steeped in an “honor-shame” culture, the Arabs viewed this failed genocide as a catastrophe, or nakba in Arabic.

The Real Threat to Al-Aqsa Mosque is From Muslims, Not Jews

  • If anyone has been desecrating al-Aqsa Mosque, it is Muslims who have been rioting and using rocks and fireworks to attack police officers and Jewish visitors. Muslim rioters — not peaceful Jewish visitors — are the real threat to the sanctity of the mosque.
  • Israeli authorities have clarified that the route of the “flag parade” absolutely does not include entry into any mosque.

K.T. McFarland: FBI, DOJ, and CIA rigged the last 2 elections… and they will rig 2024

By Thomas Lifson, AM THINKER

Former deputy National Security Advisor K.T. McFarland, who worked for General Michael Flynn – unjustly forced from office, offers a chilling and highly realistic view of what we face: a coup by the deep state that they are planning to repeat in 2024 because they don’t want their crimes prosecuted by a Republican president and AG.

Speaking with Maria Bartiromo on her Fox Business Network program, McFarland laid out the grim reality that, strangely, does not bother any of the people who rage about “protecting democracy” from Donald Trump. Kanekoa The Great summarizes her views and presents a two-and-a-half minute clip of her. I urge you to watch the whole thing, as there is a lot of richness that doesn’t make it to this summary.

Democrats Create a Transgender Child Kidnapping Network

By Daniel Greenfield, 21 May 06:19 PM

“Trans Minors Protected from Parents Under Washington Law,” the Associated Press headlined its story. A short time later the story had officially been “withdrawn” by the AP.

Withdrawing the story however didn’t change the facts.

Washington Senate Bill 5599, titled, “Supporting youth and young adults seeking protected health care services”, allows shelters where a child runaway shows up not to notify his or her parents. While normally, unless a child were suffering “abuse or neglect”, the shelter would be obligated to inform the parents between 24 and 72 hours after arrival. The new law adds minors getting abortions and transgender treatments as “compelling reasons” not to notify their parents.

Will Israel choose annexation over normalization? Who needs whom more, the US or Israel?

By Ted  Belman

Two days ago at the Arab Summit in Saudi Arabia, MBS, al Sisi and King Abdullah all called for, “the establishment of a Palestinian state on the pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital”.  The only one with any clout is MBS. He has put all Saudi Arabia’s demands on the table before serious negotiations commence. Are they all pre-requisites or will some be dropped before the final deal?

It doesn’t look good for Israel because the Palestine demand is also in line with the declared policy of the Obama/Biden government.

Christianity ‘Must be Eliminated’: The Persecution of Christians, April 2023

by Raymond Ibrahim, GATESTONE  •  May 21, 2023 at 5:00 am

  • “The Taliban are offering money for Afghans to turn in any Christians they know. And Afghans are desperate, further heightening the security risk [to] Christians.” — mnnonline, April 3, 2023, Afghanistan.
  • [P]olice raided a large group of Christians, mostly college students, as they “gathered to sing and record video clips for social media.” One-hundred-and three of them, “mainly students,” were arrested and sent to prison. “This latest arrest puts the number of Christian prisoners detained indefinitely without trial in Eritrea to more than 500…. Mai Serwa [prison]…is … known for its use of torture and other forms of mistreatment, including beatings, starvation, and denial of medical care. The BBC’s hermetically sealed thought system

BBC Broadcasting House, London

Once again, Israelis have been forced to shelter against bombardment by hundreds of rockets fired from Gaza. Once again, Israel has been forced to take military action to defend itself against increasingly deadly attacks. Once again, much of the western media has presented this as if Israel wakes up in the morning and decides to bomb Gaza through some insatiable lust for violence.

Orwellian dystopia descends on the Jewish state

By

If the so-called “champions of democracy” succeed in obstructing the judicial reforms, democratic rule will be replaced by mob rule, and Israel will teeter on the brink of an Orwellian dystopia.

“The starkest indicators [of erosion of democracy], which presumably underlie the country’s downgrading in international democracy ratings, involve elite decisions about rejecting election results.”– James Druckman, professor of political science, Northwestern University, “Misperceptions, Competition, and Support for Democracy”.

MBS: We will assist in helping the Palestinians establish a state

T. Belman. This is very disturbing. When MBS  set out his demands for normalization to the US, Palestine was not one of them. MBS now appears to have upped the price for normalization by saying “We will not delay in providing assistance to the Palestinian people in recovering their lands, restoring their legitimate rights and establishing an independent state within the borders of 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital.”

Hopefully it is not a precondition for normalization but a pledge to afterwards, assist the Palestinians in getting a state within the ’67 borders.

Amid reports of push for normalization with Israel, Saudi Crown Prince stresses importance of “Palestinian issue”.

By Elad Benari, INN    19.5.23

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Friday once again stressed the importance the kingdom places on a Palestinian state.

Speaking at the Arab League summit taking place in the country, bin Salman said, according to Channel 12 News, “The Palestinian issue was and still is the main issue of the Arab countries and is at the top of the kingdom’s priorities. We will not delay in providing assistance to the Palestinian people in recovering their lands, restoring their legitimate rights and establishing an independent state within the borders of 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital.”
