When New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani accuses Israel of “apartheid,” he is ignoring the fact that in Israel, there is no distinction in the civil and political rights enjoyed by Jews and Arabs. Arabs serve on the Supreme Court, sit in the Knesset, go abroad as diplomats representing Israel. Until recently, the head of Israel’s largest bank, the Bank Leumi, was an Arab. Jews and Arabs work together in offices and factories. Jewish and Arab medical personnel treat Jews and Arabs in the same hospitals. Jews and Arabs play in the same orchestras, and on the same sports teams. Jews and Arabs start businesses together, everything from restaurants to high-tech start-ups. There is only one difference in the treatment of Jews and Arabs in Israel: Jews must, while Arabs may, serve in the military.

Peloni: Must See Video! Many truths are spoken here by Tal Oren, but the greatest truth of all is that Israel’s sovereignty has been sold to the Americans, and they do not intend to give it up. As VP Vance describes Israel as a sovereign nation, he displays his disdain for Israel making sovereign choices. This only reinforces the focused determination with which Trump assures the world to not worry about the possibility of Israel extending sovereignty over the ‘West Bank’ when in fact and law, there is no West Bank, but only Judea and Samaria, which are Jewish lands. There is only ONE reason why anyone would object to Israel recognizing its own land as its own land and that is because it is intended that our ancestral lands of Judea and Samaria are intended to be hacked off of the Jewish State. Tal is quite correct. This will only end in a greater slaughter, followed by a greater conflict, in which much Jewish blood and treasure will be spent doing what should have been done long ago, namely to recognized the commitment made in the League of Nations Mandate for Palestine, which is still binding international law, and in which the international community already recognizes Judea and Samaria as part of the Jewish State of Israel.

A new and vicious antisemitism has become fashionable for many young Americans on both the left and, sadly, the right. Conversations praising Hitler and joking about “a so-called Holocaust” are all over X, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. Most Jews of my “Boomer” generation know nothing about this.
We grew up in an America where it was normal for Jews to live safe and comfortable lives. We laughed at Adam Sandler’s Hanukkah Song because it seemed like almost everyone in public life had a Jewish connection. The sovereignty of the State of Israel over the territories of Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) is not a matter of political aspiration but a conclusion grounded in incontrovertible historical fact and established international law. This brief demonstrates that Israel’s claim is rooted in a superior legal title derived from the binding international instrument of the League of Nations Mandate for Palestine, preserved under the United Nations Charter, and affirmed by the legal principle of uti possidetis juris. The term “annexation” is legally inapplicable, as one cannot annex territory to which one already holds sovereign title.
Peloni: The notion that Hezbollah will be dislogded from its control over Lebanon is nonsensical. They control the plurality of the nation’s population, a near majority, if not a majority of its military, and a still significant force of arms and men which are independent of the state’s control. So the US will continue to spend billions of dollars yearly while the government will continue its pretense of isolating Hezbollah, but nothing will come from this plan because it defies the realities on the ground as have all other previous initiatives to disarm Hezbollah. There is no capacity in Lebanon to do what is expected in Amb. Barrack’s plan.

Peloni: J.D. Vance, hypocrisy is thy name. Hours after giving lip service to acknowledging Israel is a sovereign nation and not a vassal state, he admits taking umbrage to the Knesset asserting itself as sovereign in a vote which only advanced legislation towards demonstrating Israel’s sovereignty.

J.D. Vance feels “offended” and it’s really not clear about what or why. The ones who are truly offended are actually us, in light of the blunt and threatening tone of the American president toward the government of Israel, toward the Israeli parliament, toward the people of Israel, toward the Jewish people as a whole, when he tells us that if Israel applies sovereignty to the heart of our land it will lose all American support.

Is this savagery what was intended by the unrelenting lamentations made by world leaders on behalf of the people of Gazans when they pushed the badly flawed ceasefire plan forward? While the US is shuttling numerous dignitaries to Israel to dismiss the right of extending sovereignty over sovereign Israeli territory, they are ignoring the fruits of the current US ‘peace’ deal, which include current events such as this story below, which should not be permitted to continue for one more day. Hamas has earned its extinction many times over.
