Glick: Settlements and Jewish Rights
By Victor Davis Hanson, AM GREATNESS
For 120 days in summer 2020, violent protesters destroyed some $2 billion in property and injured 1,500 police officers in riots that led to over 35 deaths.
Because blue-state mayors and governors saw BLM and Antifa instigators as useful street soldiers, most of those arrested were never tried in court. Street thugs paid no price for declaring themselves de facto owners of downtown areas of Seattle, which police themselves conceded were no-go zones. Why did public officials in blue states ignore the violence? They were certain that it enjoyed majority support among their leftwing constituencies.

The Wall Street Journal reported Monday that toddlers vaccinated during Pfizer’s trial were “more likely to get severely ill with Covid than those who received a placebo” and “most kids who developed multiple infections during the trial were vaccinated.”

T. Belman. It should also be mentioned that all these malevolent actors are focusing the world’s attention on the Jews to deflect the attention from themselves.
I proudly point out the Hillel Neuer and Anne Bayefsky are both Canadians lawyers.
T. Belman. This article is extremely well researched and well written.

(JNS) “In Israel, the negative impact of the judicialization of politics on the Supreme Court’s legitimacy is already beginning to show its mark. Over the past decade, the public image of the Supreme Court as an autonomous and impartial arbiter has been increasingly eroded … as political arrangements and public policies agreed upon in majoritarian decision-making arenas are likely to be reviewed by an often hostile Supreme Court. As a result, the court and its judges are increasingly viewed by a considerable portion of the Israeli public as pushing forward their own political agenda ... .” — Professor Ran Hirschl, “Towards Juristocracy,” Harvard University Press, 2004

T. Belman. I hope her worst fears come true. She is obsessed with the poor Palestinians and is begging for someone to help them.
“That’s why U.S. leadership is needed: either to encourage inclusion efforts, or to encourage the Arab states to condition further normalization with Israel on concessions – or even just further confidence building measures – for the Palestinians. But the Biden administration so far has demonstrated no interest in “pushing” Israel.”
I am disgusted by this. Haaretz is committed to the Palestinian clause and against the Zionist project.
No one expects Biden to spend political capital (or even much time) on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict during his upcoming Mideast trip. But as Israel and its new Gulf allies fast-track ties, excluding the Palestinians feeds disturbing trends

The Abraham Accords of 2020, normalizing relations between Israel and four Arab countries, was a triumph for Israel but represented bitter lemons for Palestinians. The deals ripped up any residual solidarity that Arab nations once sought to convey for the plight of Palestinians. Any incentives for Israel’s leadership to advance a future peace, or even slow its expanding control over Palestinians, appeared to vanish.
For those that don’t understand why it had to be this way, think about the optics in 2017 juxtaposed to 2022.
I think many of you forgot what it was like in 2017. Trying to wake up normies was a tough business. My friends and family looked at me like I was an eight-headed monster when I told them that a global Deep State entity infiltrated the US government to include the White House, nearly all of Congress, the highest echelons of the DOJ, FBI, CIA, DNI, State Dept, the mainstream media, big tech, social media, Hollywood, academia, pharmaceuticals, health care, etc.

The Palestinian Arabs resent the fact that the Saudis and other Gulf Arabs are becoming much closer with Israel, while only paying lip service to the “Palestinian cause.” Hence the Palestinian terrorists are continuing their fomenting of terror attacks against Israelis in an attempt to gain the West’s – and the Gulf Arabs’ – attention and sympathy. It’s a strategy that has worked b<

It’s not too often that the release of a new book of poems that are over 80 years old can be seen as a transformative moment in the American Jewish community. It can be argued that this happened in June. The Complete and Translated Poetic Works of Avraham Stern published by Yishai Edberg is the first book of English translations of history’s key Zionist revolutionary.

On Saturday, the IDF’s Barak 1 missile system intercepted three drones that had been launched by Hezbollah “on an intelligence-gathering mission” of Israel’s Karish gas field.
This is a historic interception because for the first time it showed that the system, which had been installed on navy ships many years ago, was operational, effective, and accurate.

T. Belman. I sadly note the passing of Irving Abella who was my neighbour for many years. He is survived by his wife Rosie Abella and two sons. (Rosalie Silberman Abella FRSC is a Canadian jurist. Iran, Israeli prime minister Naftali Bennett warned on June 12, “is dangerously close to getting their hands on a nuclear weapon.” In an interview with The Telegraph, the premier pointed out that “Iran is enriching uranium at an unprecedented rate.” Bennett added: “Iran’s nuclear program won’t stop until it’s stopped.”
Bennett isn’t alone in expressing concern.

Dr. Zev Zelenko had both moral and intellectual courage in a society dominated by go-along-to-get-along. Dr. Zelenko was an astute physician, keenly aware of the nuances in disease presentations of his patients. They came to him for treatment of the respiratory disease that would become Covid-19.
Dr. Zelenko’s mind was always active in thinking about the best ways to care for his patients, and in the absence of established methods of treatment, he searched for what other clinicians had been doing for this and similar respiratory infections.

On Sunday night, while in a restaurant in Riyadh, a local young man sitting next to me asked me from where I was. “Israel,” I replied. He laughed, and moved on. Shortly before leaving, he looked at me again and asked, “Israel, really?” I said “yes,” to which he replied, “Wow, welcome. We welcome everyone here happily, from all religions.”
Saudi Arabia was a pleasant surprise. Friendly. Happy. Not even mentioning Israel brought anyone down. I tested this on several cab drivers and market vendors. Some smiled and shook their head in disbelief or worry, others were curious and struck up a conversation. I wondered if any of them had ever met an Israeli before, or heard Hebrew, but no one made us feel unwelcome in the kingdom, home to the holiest sites of Islam, not even for a moment.
