Russia’s war in Ukraine jolts Iran, Syria and Middle East security

by Dr. Eric R. Mandel, THE HILL

Russia’s war in Ukraine has serious repercussions for the Middle East — affecting, in particular, Iranian entrenchment in Syria and regional security for Israel and the United States.

In 2015, Iran’s Qassem Soleimani, then general of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, flew to Moscow to meet with Kremlin officials just weeks after the conclusion of the original Iran nuclear agreement, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). The goal was to change the course of Syria’s civil war, which looked bleak for their ally, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The meeting “forged a new Iranian-Russian alliance in support of Assad,” turning the course of the war in their favor. The successful outcome allowed Iran to move with confidence toward its primary objective: creating a vassal state in Syria, as it had in Lebanon with Hezbollah.

The Left’s War on Childhood

By Daniel Greenfield

From Greta Thunberg to children put on puberty blockers, the victims of the war on childhood are everywhere. They show up at environmental or gun control rallies holding up giant signs in their little hands, they’re indoctrinated at school to enlist as child soldiers for the latest cause.

Adults tell them that unless they save the world, they won’t even live long enough to grow up.

Zelensky the Jewish Hero

by Ruth R. Wisse, COMMENTARY, May 2022

‘In the year 1648, the wicked Ukrainian hetman, Bogdan Chmelnicki, and his followers… spread havoc in Tomaszow, Bilgoraj, Krasnik, Turbin, Frampol—and in Goray, too….They slaughtered on every hand, flayed men alive, murdered small children, violated women and afterward ripped open their bellies and sewed cats inside. Many fled to Lublin, many underwent baptism or were sold into slavery. Goray, which once had been known for its scholars and men of accomplishment, was completely deserted.”

Al-Aqsa Is Not Now, and Never Was, ‘Under Threat’ From Israel

What the British used to call “the vivid oriental imagination” is at work.

By Hugh Fitzgerald, FPM Apr 28/22

Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the Palestinian Authority all agree: Al-Aqsa Mosque has recently been “under threat” because those wild-eyed Israeli “settlers” – madmen all – were about to engage in the ritual slaughter of a lamb on top of the Temple Mount, as part of a diabolical effort to take over Al-Aqsa, bit by bit, and convert it to a synagogue. Those Palestinians, and especially the terrorists among them, have a rich fantasy life, what the British in the Middle East used to drily call “the vivid oriental imagination.”

A report by Nadav Shragai on the Palestinians exploiting the Temple Mount conflict as an excuse for another war with Israel can be found here: “Al-Aqsa Mosque is by no means under threat,” by Nadav Shragai, Israel Hayom, April 17, 2022:

Filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza believes that evidence presented in his new documentary, “2000 Mules,” proves that large-scale, illegal vote trafficking occurred in the 2020 election.

D’Souza told The Epoch Times: “2000 Mules will settle the issue beyond a shadow of a doubt by using two powerful, independent modes of investigation. The evidence is so conclusive, so decisive, that it leaves nothing to argue about.”

2022 Jewish demographic momentum in Israel

Ambassador (ret.) Yoram Ettinger, “Second Thought: a US-Israel Initiative”

April 27, 2022,

In 2021, the number of Israel’s Jewish births was 141,250 – 76% higher than 1995 (80,400), compared to 43,806 Arab births – 20% higher than 1995 (36,500).

In 2021, Jewish births were 76% of total births, compared to 69% in 1995. The surge of Jewish births has taken place due to the unprecedented rise of births (since 1995) in the secular sector, simultaneously with a rising level of education, income and wedding age and expanded urbanization. Since 1995, Israel’s ultra-orthodox sector has experienced a mild decrease of fertility.

JORDAN: PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE: The Jordan Option Revisited

ZOOM WEBINAR

MAY 8, 2022, 7:00 PM Israel Time and 12:00 PM EST

JORDAN: PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE: The Jordan Option Revisited

The Jordan Option has been touted for 20 years but gained no traction. Essentially it embraces the idea that Jordan should be seen as the Palestinian state.  The primary reason was the resistance to the idea by the Hashemites.

Mudar Zahran, Secretary General of the Jordan Opposition Coalition together with Ted Belman, Editor of ISRAPUNDIT, held a conference at the Begin Centre in Jerusalem on Oct 17, 2017 which justified the rationale behind Jordan being the Palestinian State and based success of the Option by calling for the end of the Hashemite Control of Jordan and announcing that Mudar Zahran was ready, willing and able to serve as President of Jordan.

Here we are, 5 years later, on the cusp of success.  Register for the Webinar and find out why.

Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, the epicenter of violence

by Steve Kramer

There’s been a lot of mayhem lately at the Temple Mount (the summit of Mount Moriah) in Jerusalem, which is a magnet for religious Jews, especially during Passover. Because this year Passover, Easter, and the Muslim holiday of Ramadan coincided, more violence than usual has resulted. The current custodianship over the Muslim holy sites in Jerusalem’s Old City is unsatisfactory. A change may be required so that the Temple Mount is peaceful, as a holy place should be.

Biden Unilaterally Surrenders to Russia and China in Satellite Wars

Our enemies will have a clear field for destroying our satellites.

By Daniel Greenfield, FPM

Kamala Harris arrived at Vandenberg Space Force Base where Discoverer-1, the first satellite to enter a polar orbit and America’s bold response to Russia’s Sputnik, was launched to announce that we would be unilaterally surrendering to Russia and China in the growing satellite wars.

Last November, Russia had conducted a DA-ASAT or direct-ascent anti-satellite test which demonstrated its ability to take out satellites. The Russians had used their A-235 anti-ballistic missile system to destroy their own Kosmos 1408 satellite. The message was clear: Moscow had the ability to clear out enemy satellites in the event of any conflict. Including ours.

Our Spanish Civil War?

Deep and brutal strife in 1930s Spain was a prelude to the barbarity of World War II. Now with the war in Ukraine, we’re reminded that the veneer of civilization is very thin.

By

From 1936 to 1939, the civil war in Spain became a European laboratory of new tactics, strategies, logistics, wartime morality, and weapons. Right-wing nationalists under General Francisco Franco finally defeated loyal supporters of an evolutionary socialist republic—but only after much of the Western world had variously weighed in.

The cost to the Spanish people of such brutal and vicious strife was horrific. Over 500,000 Spaniards would die in a little over two-and-a-half years. The country was left in shambles.
