Tensions grow between Damascus and eastern Syria amid continuing efforts to integrate factions

By | September 4, 2025

On September 2, the state-controlled Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that Damascus intercepted an arms shipment destined for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the US-supported military force of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES). The news is the latest indication of increasing tensions between Syria’s official government and factions in eastern Syria.

In March, SDF leader Mazloum Abdi met with Syrian transitional President Ahmed al Sharaa to discuss a roadmap toward integrating eastern Syria into the new government. However, the two entities have come into conflict several times since.

Israel and India to sign landmark economic agreement worth billions

Peloni:  This is an important achievement.  India and Israel have many common interests and have been steadily developing common initiatives together in recent years as well in areas of trade, defense and investment.  Still, the recent moves by Washington placing severe sanctions on India made this deal all the more expected.

The International Association of Genocide Scholars’ False Claims About Israel

By | Sept 4, 2025

The UN has said that in all the wars fought since 1945, the civilian-to-combatant ratio of deaths has been 9:1. In Afghanistan, the Western powers brought that figure down to 4:1, and in Iraq, to 3:1. But no army in history has managed to bring that ratio to below 1:1, as Israel has done in Gaza, with 17,800 civilians killed because of the war, and 26,000 Hamas combatants killed. Shouldn’t this feat by the IDF be shouted from the rooftops?

The International Association of Genocide Scholars, which has wrongfully and in outrage of the evidence accused Israel of “genocide,” also criticizes Israel because some Israeli politicians have called for the forced expulsion of people from Gaza. Some Israeli leaders — a minority — have called for the forced expulsion of people from Gaza.

Disgraceful! Pfizer CEO Says Trump Should Receive the Nobel Prize for OWS!

Peloni:  The most ridiculous aspect of this report is that it comes on the heals of Trump having raised the demand of releasing proof to establish the merits of Operation Warp Speed.  Indeed, in making this demand he even raise the fact that if  OWS was less successful than reported to him, this should be acknowledged as well, making the praise for the project all the more troublesome.

OWS was a disaster and continues to have a negative impact on the health of Americans.

Pfizer CEO and WEF leader Anthony Bourla is attempting to manipulate the narrative and present the highly lucrative injections his company distributed in a favorable light. This despite the substantive level of morbidity and mortality suffered by recipients worldwide.

9/11: Some Say, “Always Remember,” But Many Have Already Forgotten

Peloni:  The matters which most align a nation towards its identity, and thereby instill a sense of unity, such as was clearly the effect of 9/11, are what makes nations strong, and thus become the very target of those whose goals are more globalist in nature, as opposed to being nationalist. Hence, we saw the inexplicable war which came to be waged by the Left on the memory of 911, and even for the respect for the lives who were savagely stolen that day.

UAE says Israeli annexation of West Bank territories will ‘irreparably damage’ efforts toward ‘regional integration’

Peloni: Amid the threats from the UAE, Netanyahu has removed discussion of annexation from the topics of today’s security cabinet meeting.  As explained by Khaled Hassan (highly recommended analysis), there is good reason to accept that the Emeratis are serious in their threats to quit the Abraham Accords despite the costs to it economy and security.  Beyond just the Emeratis, annexation would further significantly delay if not end the Saudi normalization, and would further strain the peace with Egypt.  So the question becomes is annexation worthy of realigning the region against Israel over this single move?  I would argue that if this were merely related to the land, or to religion, it would be wise to be cautious here.  Yet, October 7 demonstrated the ease with which a small force might spread chaos and mayhem, slaughter and barbarism, into the very homes of the Israeli people.  Annexation is related to Israel’s security, and its very survival as the nation state of the Jews.  This final nail upon the shroud of the Two State Solution must finally be hammered home, and would be wise to be done sooner rather than later.  In fact, much of the world, many so called partners and allies, including the feckless Emeratis, are about to recognize a second Arab Palestinian state, which has brought this issue to a head.   Comments and criticisms on this topic would be welcome.

Ambassador Leiter – Democrats, Republicans, and the Future of U.S.-Israel Relations

Peloni:  Israel’s US Amb. Dr. Yechiel Leiter shares, among other matters, his attempt to deal with Israel’s failing bipartisan support in the US.  While many will challenge that it is a fool’s errand to mend this fence, it is vital for Israel’s relationship with the US to have the support of both parties, both for Israel and for America I would argue.

Israel must not ease pressure on Lebanon

As long as the Lebanese army does not begin disarming Hezbollah, Lebanon can forget about an Israeli withdrawal from strategic positions along the border that are vital to the security of communities in the Upper Galilee.

by  Prof. Eyal ZisserPublished on  09-01-2025

The war launched against Israel by the Hezbollah terrorist organization on Oct. 8, 2023, the day after Hamas’ murderous surprise attack on communities near the Gaza border, ended in Hezbollah’s defeat. Much of its senior leadership and military command was eliminated, as were many of its military capabilities. Yet this was not an absolute victory. Hezbollah was not destroyed and still retains considerable strength, waiting for the moment to rise again.

My two solutions for a more peaceful Middle East.

Peloni:  Jordan is Palestine.  This is a tale from history often ignored over the past 100yrs, and which was recalled to mind by Ted Belman in his Jordan Option Symposium of 2017, and again in 2022.  The future requires the hostile Hashemite regime being replaced with a friendly ruler, one which will keep faith with its commitments, ending Jordanian incitement, and replacing support for Jihadi forces in Jordan with an intolerance for the same.  It is time to implement the Weizmann-Feisal agreement, and turn a cold peace with Jordan into a warm one.  It is time for the Jordan Option to be made operational.

Jordan is Palestine, and a local deradicalized leadership for a future Gaza state.

Turkey’s Quiet Relationship with ISIS

Sinan Ciddi | Sept 3, 2025

On June 29, 2014, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State in al-Sham (ISIS), was recorded on video speaking at the al-Nuri Mosque in Mosul, Iraq. (“Al-Sham” is the traditional Arabic name for the Levant.) He declared himself to be the caliph or divinely inspired absolute ruler of an Islamic state.

ISIS had risen from the ashes of al-Qa’ida in Iraq, bringing together Syrian jhadists released by Asad’s regime, former members of Saddam Hussein’s army in Iraq, and Sunni tribal fighters from across rural Iraq. In Syria, ISIS joined other jihadist groups in fighting Asad. As its battlefield victories mounted, ISIS broke with al-Qai’da in declaring an Islamic state across eastern Syria and northern Iraq, with al-Raqqa in Syria as its capital.

Trump Acknowledges Israel Is Losing Control Of Congress

Peloni:  It is neither remarkable nor revealing to read that Israel is losing the public  relations war being mounted against her.  It is a sad reality of foolish policies which have under funded and under valued the outcome of Israel’s public image over decades now.

In regards to Israel having the strongest lobby, I disagree that this was ever the case.  The reality is that Israel has a lot of strong support from the American people, making the effort of Israel’s lobby less difficult than pretending, for instance, that the Saudi’s had nothing to answer for on 9/11. Relying upon the instinctive support from Americans for too long now, however, is having an effect in the shadow of the world wide anti-Israel and antisemitic campaigns being unleashed against her currently.

Zionists must get up and defeat the ‘silent intifada’

Instead of wallowing in self-pity, Zionists should reconceptualize their approach.

By: Prof. Gil Troy | Aug 27, 2025

Since October 7, haters snort: “Zionists not allowed here” … “Zionists don’t deserve to live” … Zionists are genocidal “baby-killers.” They sling around Zionism, Zionists, and the prefix “Zio” as slurs. Enough fighting back and counterattacking. Let’s push past – and counter-program.

It’s easy when haters assault Jews directly – they show who they are. There are still enough decent people around to resist, defending their favorite Jews. More worrying is what one rabbi friend, who has identified many different intifadas, would call “The Silent Intifadas” – the shunning, ghosting, unspoken boycotting. There’s “The Social Intifada,” ostracizing Jews, especially students, because one bully decided to excommunicate them socially.

They lied to You about PALESTINE! SHOCKING TRUTH!

Peloni:  The Palestinian Arabs don’t want a state, and never did.  They simply want to see the Jews enslaved or dead.  This is why it has been so long ignored that Jordan is the Palestinian Arab State, and why the attempt to give them ever increasing deals to accept a second Palestinian State has failed to gain their consent, ie because doing so does not remove the Jewish State, which has been their ultimate goal.
