Impending Iran nuclear deal: 5 things you need to know

The deal emerging between Biden administration and Tehran looks a lot like the one from the Obama years and focuses on suspending uranium enrichment.

By Lisa Daftari, FOREIGN DESK

Reports are growing that the West and Iran are nearing a deal to freeze Tehran’s nuclear program. Here are the five things you most to need to know about the possible deal:

1. It’s Very Similar to the Old Deal

The goal of the new Iran nuclear deal is to mirror the previous objectives from the 2015 Obama-era deal between the United States and its European counterparts. The new impending agreement resembles the 2015 deal in that it tries to restrict Iran’s uranium enrichment and other nuclear activities while also agreeing to lift sanctions against Iran’s oil production and exportation.

How a Racial Hoax is Killing America

David Horowitz’s latest book exposes the destructive Black Lives Matter scam.

By Sandy Frazier and Mark Tapson, FPM

“I can’t breathe.”

Those three words uttered by career criminal George Floyd prior to his death by drug overdose while in police custody rocked the nation in the spring of 2020. The historic eruption of lawlessness and violence that followed under that rallying cry opened new fault lines in the nation’s cultural and political landscape, threatening a radical reshaping of American society.

No book has exposed the truth about those three words and the radical movement they galvanized more comprehensively and insightfully than I CAN’T BREATHE: How a Racial Hoax is Killing America by conservative warrior and bestselling author David Horowitz. It is the definitive analysis of the biggest political scam of the twenty-first century.

Arabs and Muslims: Attacking Jews & Zionists:

The war against the Jewish State began militarily at Israel’s inception, as the armies of five Arab nations invaded Israel in 1948 in a war to annihilate it. In June 1967, the Arab world attempted the same but failed spectacularly.

Since that time, the armed conflict by Muslim countries has continued with more modest ambitions, as the goal of destroying Israel is considered too remote a possibility, unless and until Iran obtains nuclear weapons. The violent attacks against Israel have mostly been about pestering and killing Jews to obtain concessions. The 1973 Yom Kippur war ushered in a willingness for Israel to hand the Sinai Peninsula back to Egypt, and Palestinian Arabs believe that the Second Intifada War made Israel abandon the Gaza Strip. The various Hamas wars from Gaza since 2008 and the political-terrorist group’s kidnapping of Israelis, secured the release of thousands of fellow terrorists and other modest gains.

Will there be a Magic Carpet for Ukrainian Jews?

by Victor Rosenthal

This morning’s paper discusses the plans being made for the possible aliya of the roughly 250,000 Ukrainians who are eligible for Israeli citizenship under the Law of Return. Several government ministries and the army are making preparations to bring them to Israel, provide identity documents, places of temporary residence, and financial aid for them, if it should happen that war breaks out in Ukraine and many of them want to come.

This recalled previous mass immigrations to Israel since the founding of the state: the “displaced persons” of Europe, many of them survivors of Nazi concentration camps; the refugees expelled from Arab countries after 1948; the Eastern and Central European Jews who no longer had homes in Europe; the Yemenite Jews brought home in 1949 by Operation Magic Carpet; the Jews from the institutionally anti-Jewish Soviet Union; and the continuing operations to rescue the Jews of Ethiopia.

Requiem for a Nation

By David Solway, PJ MEDIA

It may seem hard to believe that America’s neighbor to the north is now a full-fledged, up-and-running police state. Heavily-armed police are arresting and, in some cases, roughing up, severely beating, and trampling with horses members of the truckers’ Freedom Convoy in Ottawa as well as bystanders. The country has gone off the rails.Justin Trudeau’s ineffable Justice Minister David Lametti is on record threatening those who hold the wrong political views that they are liable to have their bank accounts seized. “If you are a member of a pro-Trump movement who is donating hundreds of thousands of dollars, and millions of dollars to this kind of thing,” he said, “then you ought to be worried.” The assumption that Trump has something to do with Canadian trucker donations seems particularly unhinged. On the Alleged Moral Superiority of Intellectuals

By Richard McDonough, AM THINKER

From my intimacy with [my fellow writers, teachers, etc] I acquired a new vice: abnormally developed pride, and an insane assurance that it was my vocation to teach men, without knowing what. … [Eventually I saw that] almost all of them were men of bad or worthless character … [whose] real inmost concern was to get as much money and praise as possible... Leo Tolstoy, A Confession

The ordinary person is constantly being lectured and disparaged by intellectuals rooted in academia where Democrats massively outnumber Republicans.  It is useful, lest there be some misunderstanding, to stress that I believe that intellectuals, including professors, can be a good thing.  Indeed, they are essential to the development of civilization.  I am one myself.  There is nothing I love to do more than study the great philosophers, psychologists, social theorists and literary figures.  However, intellectuals have certain inherent limitations.  First, they tend to think they know more than they do.  More important, they tend to believe that their intellectual accomplishments make them morally superior to less educated people, hence the contempt expressed by so many in our “elites” for Hillary’s “basket of deplorable” in “flyover country”.

Russia flexes in Syria

Al-Monitor Staff

The Kremlin is exercising its power well outside of Europe with naval and air drills on the Mediterranean ahead of an expected invasion of Ukraine.
The US and its closest Western allies believe Russia may invade Ukraine in the next few days. If carried out, such a war would be catastrophic for eastern Europe and would likely launch tumult the region has not seen in three decades, if not since World War II.

But such a conflict would not only affect Europe. Last week, the nominee for the next commander of US forces in the Middle East told lawmakers that a Russian invasion of Ukraine is likely to have ripple effects in Syria — where Russian, American, Turkish and other foreign soldiers are backing a patchwork of local factions across a stalemated battlefield.

Russia sends warplanes to Syria for huge naval drills in Med

By VLADIMIR ISACHENKOV, AP                                                               February 15, 2022

MOSCOW (AP) — The Russian military on Tuesday deployed long-range nuclear-capable bombers and fighter jets carrying state-of-the-art hypersonic missiles to its air base in Syria for massive naval drills in the region amid soaring tensions with the West over Ukraine.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu arrived in Syria to oversee the drills that mark the biggest Russian naval deployment to the Mediterranean Sea since the Cold War times. Shoigu met with Syrian President Bashar Assad on Tuesday to inform him about the drills and discuss plans for further military-technical cooperation.

The Democrats: ‘Viva Defund the Police!’

The disastrous actions stemming from the Democrats’ execrable policies will speak louder than their disingenuous words.

By

Many on the Right are legitimately concerned the Democrats will dissemble their way into retaining their congressional majority. This anxiety stems from several factors, including a corporate media that serves as a homegrown Pravda; Wall Street fat cats’ dark money; and Big Tech censorship—all bent upon propagandizing leftist policies that not only fail to work, but make things worse.

The Democrats’ anxiety, on the other hand, comes from the majority of Americans who are concerned about rising crime rates and who oppose the Left’s professed aim to “defund the police.” Typically, in backpedaling from their lunacy, the Democrats “retcon” the recent past to pretend only a fringe element within their party ever advocated such injurious policies.  Then the Democrats ignore all the other extant leftist policies that continue to exacerbate the problems Americans are enduring. And, of course, they deconstruct their rhetoric to sound a “prog-whistle” for their base, signaling covert support for the failed policy they claim to reject.

US Reps demand Israel take steps to reduce tensions in Sheikh Jarrad

T. Belman.  How insipid.  Israel must enforce the law no matter the orchestrated violence. That’s the imperative.  And saying Abbas knows its payments to convicted terrorists, are problematic, says nothing.  What they should have said is, stop the payments or we will stop funding you.

Congressman Ro Khanna tells ToI that Israeli leaders he met relayed they’re committed to calming tensions, says Abbas understands PA payments to security prisoners are problematic

A delegation of visiting congressional Democrats expressed their concern this week regarding the potential for violence between Israelis and Palestinians to bubble over in Jerusalem, but were assured by senior Israeli leaders of their commitment to taking steps to lower tensions, US officials told The Times of Israel on Friday.

In meetings with Israeli leaders, the US Congress members raised the looming evictions of Palestinian families in Sheikh Jarrah, according to Representative Ro Khanna, who was one of eight lawmakers in the delegation led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that toured Israel and the West Bank from Tuesday to Thursday.

Arizona State Representative Mark Finchem Talks About Resolution To Decertify AZ, Subpoena By Jan. 6 Committee:

“This Is Classic Saul Alinsky.”

By Jordan Conradson, GATEWAY

Last week, Arizona State Representative Mark Finchem introduced a resolution to decertify three compromised 2020 county elections in Arizona after multiple investigations statewide discovered elections law violations and hundreds of thousands of ballot discrepancies.

Immediately, Finchem faced pushback from Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers who will make the next decision on hearing this historic resolution.

Days after this major move to decertify Arizona, the  January 6 committee issued subpoenas to Rep. Mark Finchem and AZGOP Chairwoman Kelli Ward. This is just another deep state intimidation tactic.

Defence Minister in Cahoots with Real Estate Scam

Victor Sharpe. I plead with all to take the time to read this long but vitally important exposure of anti-Jewish and anti-Israel activity that is taking place within the very Biblical Jewish heartland of Judea and Samaria – and especially in Area C.

The real estate scam, perpetrated by the UN, certain European governments and by the Arabs who call themselves Palestinians is terrible enough, but the present Israeli Defense Minister, Benny Gantz, is allegedly co-operating deeply in the outrage by legalizing illegal Arab outposts in Judea-Samaria, the heartland of the ancient Land of Israel.

The immediate retroactive removal of all illegal Arab construction and settlements is paramount and those countries who have – and are – funding this despicable denial and theft of Jewish sovereignty in its ancient heartland should be exposed. If found guilty, there should be no place for Benny Gantz in a patriotic and truly Zionist government.

At the very least please help publicize this exposure of the ongoing war by the UN and various European governments against Jewish history in its ancestral and Biblical land. Please also support the brave and patriotic work of Regavim.

Author of Politicide: The attempted murder of the Jewish state.

By Sheri Oz, ISRAEL DIARIES

Israel’s Defense Minister, Benny Gantz, is cooperating with the biggest real estate scam this country has ever seen. He does this in two ways: first, by taking advantage of the current make-up of the coalition government and making moves to legalize illegal Arab outposts in Judea-Samaria, the heartland of the ancient Land of Israel. And secondly, by continuing his policy of ignoring illegal Palestinian construction and agricultural activity in Area C that he began as Defence Minister in the previous government.

GLICK: Biden’s ‘victory’ against Putin

In light of the fact that the US has no military option to defend Ukraine, and that sanctions on Russia will harm the US economy, the smart move in Ukraine would have been to cut a deal with Putin that conceded Ukraine in exchange for Russian cooperation on other fronts important to the US.

By Caroline B. Glick, ISRAEL HAYOM

Several commentators have argued in recent days that the crisis between Russia and Ukraine has been a godsend for President Joe Biden ahead of the midterm elections in November.

The argument is fairly straightforward. With tough talk and without endangering any US forces, Biden is managing to block Russian President Vladimir Putin from carrying through on his plan to invade Ukraine. Since Biden and his advisors have been signaling that such an event would precipitate a US-Russian war, (i.e., World War III), simply by talking tough, Biden is preventing a world war. Obviously, this is a historic, indeed, an epic achievement that without question blots out Biden’s incompetent and strategically disastrous surrender in Afghanistan from the public’s memory.

After 30 Years of Peace, Ukraine Crisis Shakes Europeans

The happy complacency of post-Cold War peace is being shattered by Russia’s threats, demands and massive military buildup around Ukraine.

BRUSSELS — Ulrike Franke is a self-confessed German millennial, a defense analyst who worries about her generation’s allergy to the military, especially as it moves into positions of power.

“After 30 years of peace,” she wrote last year in a well-read essay, “German millennials have a hard time adjusting to the world we are living in now. We struggle to think in terms of interests, we struggle with the concept of geopolitical power, and we struggle with military power being an element of geopolitical power.”

Meet the Obama mentor and Soros lawyer heading up the ADL’s civil rights

By Daniel Greenfield, HERITAGE

Eileen Hershenov, ADL policy senior vice president.

Obama’s career of political activism began in some ways when he met Eileen Hershenov. He graduated from Columbia University, and as David Remnick put it, “got it into his head to become a community organizer.” After a brief stint working for a living, he answered an ad and joined Ralph Nader’s left-wing New York Public Interest Research Group.

His supervisor at the time, Eileen Hershenov, describes having “some really engaged conversations about models of organizing.” After a year, Hershenov pleaded with him to stay, “I asked him if it would help if I got on my knees and begged – and so I did,” but Obama moved on.
