Why Are the Biden Administration, EU, Appeasing the Iranian Regime?

by Majid Rafizadeh, GATESTONE  •  March 12, 2022

  • Many Iranians, meanwhile, in defiance of Iran’s regime, gathered outside the Ukrainian embassy in Tehran to express their support for the Ukrainian people, criticize the Iranian government for supporting Russia, and chanted “Death to Putin”.
  • As police began cracking down on the protesters, the Biden administration and the EU remained silent.

An International Relations Theory Guide to the War in Ukraine

T. Belman. Walt co-authored the antisemitic book The Israel Lobby. Nevertheless this article is well worth reading.

A consideration of which theories have been vindicated—and which have fallen flat.

By Stephen M. Walt, a columnist at Foreign Policy and the Robert and Renée Belfer professor of international relations at Harvard University. MARCH 8, 2022,

The world is infinitely complex, and by necessity we all rely on various beliefs or theories about “how the world works” to try to make sense of it all. Because all theories are simplifications, no single approach to international politics can account for everything that is taking place at any given moment, predict exactly what will happen in the weeks and months ahead, or offer a precise plan of action that is guaranteed to succeed.

The problem with expressing empathy for the Ukraine

The Ukrainian people played a willing and major role in the destruction of European Jewry before, during, and after the Holocaust. Op-ed.

By Ron Jager, INN

Let it be clear: I unequivocally condemn Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine. Russia is grossly violating international law and the principles of the UN Charter. The violence and loss of life that have occurred in various parts of Ukraine over the past days is totally unacceptable.

With that being said, the Ukrainian people played a major role in the destruction of European Jewry before, during, and after the Holocaust.

On Tuesday, the Washington Examiner reported that Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) officers are actively plotting to murder former US National Security Advisor John Bolton. According to the report, late last year, Bolton joined former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as a former senior official who receives Secret Service protection due to “continuing, credible and specific” threats on their lives emanating from the IRGC.

The War in Ukraine has Exposed the Perils of 21st Century Globalism

By Steve McCann, AM THINKER

The unprovoked Russian invasion of Ukraine has exposed the folly, peril, and incoherence of 21st Century Globalism.  Unlike the economic globalism of the 19th and early 20th centuries that focused on the concept of free trade of goods for goods, this iteration can be characterized by allegiance to irrational environmentalism and the creation of elitist global institutions determined to mold mankind and impose regimentation on countries and their populations to ostensibly “save the planet.”

America and the truth of asymmetric warfare

Sharansky’s truism:

“Everybody has a knife, but not everybody is prepared to use it.  Putin believes that he is willing to use his knife and the west isn’t—that the west can only talk even if it is physically stronger.”

From Putin to Tehran and the Palestinians, the west fails to grasp that fanatics mean what they say

By Melanie Phillips

The fable of the scorpion and the frog

In an interview about the war against Ukraine, the former Soviet dissident turned Israeli public figure, Natan Sharansky, made a key observation.

Commenting in Tablet that both Russia and its president, Vladimir Putin, were far from the strongest in the world, Sharansky shared something he had learned from his time in a Soviet prison.

Turkey: Occupies Northern Cyprus, Goes for the Rest

By Uzay Bulut, GATESTONE  •  March 11, 2022

  • “The air and sea invasion yesterday devastated the resort strip of tourist hotels on the north coast of Cyprus. Greek Cypriots and foreigners huddled under mattresses in the cellars of ruined buildings.” — The New York Times, July 22, 1974.
  • “But back in Ankara today, the newspapers were full of photos of smiling Turkish troops clustered in front of tanks draped with the star and crescent flag, holding their weapons high, and of Greek Cypriot hostages being given water by Turkish soldiers.” — The New York Times, July 28, 1974.

How the Biden Administration Is Funding the Effort To Delegitimize Israel

T. Belman.  Biden is obviously following the EU who funds anti-Israel NGO’s to the tune of $500 million/year.  When is somebody going to fund an investigation of the Human Rights abuses by both the Palestinian Authority and Hamas?  The answer is never.

Sisi vs. the Islamists: A Battle of Ideas

by Cynthia Farahat, AMERICAN THINKER

Egypt is embroiled in a war of ideas as Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi resists Islamists in a struggle for the future of Egypt and the Middle East. Currently, there are historic reforms taking place in the United Arab Emirates, Sudan, Bahrain, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. But the path to ideological and religious reform has been most difficult in Egypt.

Robert Spencer vs. Joseph Puder: How Much Should We Get Involved in Ukraine?

A Frontpage Mag exchange.

Editors’ note: Below is an exchange between Frontpage contributors Robert Spencer and Joseph Puder on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine — and what America and the West must do about it. We hope our readers will find this dialogue/debate between two of Frontpage’s finest to be thought-provoking and enlightening.

Joseph Puder: The West Has Not Learned The Lessons of World War II.
We need a Churchill in the White House, not a feeble Chamberlain.

The scenes of the Russian invasion into Ukraine are reminiscent of 81 years ago when Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union in what was called “Operation Barbarossa.” Nazi troops stormed the Ukraine fields with thousands of tanks and Stuka dive bombers. Behind them was Hitler’s Einsatzgruppen, SS murderers set out to murder every Jew in the territories of Ukraine that the Nazi army occupied.

Putin’s cardinal mistakes

The invasion has not worked out as Moscow seems to have planned, but its troops can continue to target civilian areas in Ukraine.

By  David Baron, ISRAEL HAYOM      03-10-2022 16:50

Two weeks into the Russian invasion of Ukraine, one thing is clear: President Vladimir Putin and the Russian military have failed in their goals abysmally.

Not only have Kyiv and Kharkiv not fallen into the hands of Russian troops “within two days,” but no large Ukrainian city has. This great failure is also reflected in the Kremlin’s draconian censorship of the country’s media, banning any criticism of the “special operation.”
