Conrad Black: Lowered flags are a symbol of a nation in decline

We have become a congenial political irrelevancy to the world

By Conrad Black, NATIONAL POST

The most frequent opening conversational gambit that I encountered during the past three very social weeks in the refreshingly mask-free, socially undistanced city of London, was the question of why the Canadian flag on top of Canada House in Trafalgar Square appeared to be permanently at half-mast.

I had the heavy duty of conceding that it was part of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau‘s endlessly protracted act of national self-humiliation and confected grief over the history of the white man’s treatment of Indigenous people in Canada over the last 500 years. The many informed people whom I encountered in London could not be described as a broadly based and deeply enthusiastic group of admirers of Justin Trudeau as a leader and clear champion of the Canadian national interest. In general, in my experience, he is seen in Europe, as in the United States, as the chic and dapper bearer of a name well-known in Canada, who deserves the credit due to being a consecutive election winner in a G7 country, but is nevertheless seen as a feckless and rather superficial posturer.

This may be the most disturbing article I have ever read – ever.

By Linda Goudsmit

Space is not the final frontier – reality is!

A smiling Zuckerberg is shown presenting artificial reality as a game. The problem, of course, is when humanitarian huckster Mark Zuckerberg puts on headgear he is selling the game – the feeling of being somewhere when you are not really there. The psychopaths who are socially and genetically re-engineering humanity are not interested in games – that is the con – the games are strictly for public consumption. The game is a marketing strategy rooted in feelings, designed to persuade you to buy into a future where fact and fiction converge into a virtual existence.

The globalist megalomaniacs who are driving the movement toward the managerial state are only interested in absolute power, and they are not playing games. They are seducing a regressed gullible public with fun and games and feelings because no one ever seduced a child with spinach.>

Is this the beginning of a new Cold War between Biden and Israel?

The administration’s harsh criticisms, combined with renewed appeasement of Iran, bode ill for the alliance. How serious is the president about demanding that Israel bow to his demands?

By Jonathan Tobin, jns

As far as Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid are concerned, this week has brought a perfect storm of circumstances that threaten to complicate their hopes for a better relationship with the United States. Both men, each for their own reasons, see establishing a good rapport with President Joe Biden and his administration as one of the main goals of their coalition government that took office in June. But blistering criticism was issued by the U.S. State Department on two issues: its renewed commitment to reopening a U.S. consulate in Jerusalem and settlement building in the West Bank. On top of that is the news that Iran is returning to nuclear talks in Vienna. They were body blows to hopes that their ousting of former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is viewed by Biden’s team as the devil incarnate, would ensure the president’s goodwill and protect them against the kind of hostility that was the hallmark of U.S. attitudes towards Jerusalem the last time Democrats were in power.

Progressives can’t handle inconvenient truths

Progressive Jews would rather defend progressive antisemites than defend the Jews against progressive antisemites.

On Wednesday, Boston University held its annual Elie Wiesel Memorial Lecture. Boston University was the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and Holocaust survivor’s academic home. Wiesel won the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his literary work documenting the Holocaust and the rebirth of Jewish freedom in the State of Israel.

This year Boston University invited Rev. Dr. William Barber to give the lecture. Barber is a prominent leader in the African American community, known for his activism against “structural racism,” in the United States. The concept of “structural racism” holds that racism is intrinsic to America’s national character. The only way to cleanse the nation of its racist nature is through revolution.

Their house burning, American Jews take a hose to Israel?

By Alan Edelstein,

A relative (I’ll call her Melanie) recently asked me what I thought about a notice from her Reform Synagogue in the Western U.S. announcing a program exploring the Israeli-Palestinian dispute. The program promised to hear all voices, get new perspectives, not place blame, discover creative solutions, and other well-intentioned platitudes comfortingly explored thousands of miles away from the scene.

After responding to Melanie’s question with some platitudes of my own about the benefits of gaining more knowledge and hearing from a variety of perspectives, as well as something about the need to understand history and context, I then wrote much more than Joanie asked for:

Iran’s Syria Project Begins to Stutter

By Amos Harel, HAARETZ

Iran has reduced its activity in the Damascus airport area, and cut down the number of Tehran-backed militia members. Israel has mainly Russia to thank

The latest air attacks attributed to Israel in Syria, one of them at the end of last week, all took place in the center and north of the country. Missing from the map of the attacks this year is a key target of the air force in recent years: the international airport in Damascus. There is nothing random about this. Since Israel started taking action (mostly according to foreign reports) against the Iranian presence in Syria, in late 2017, numerous modifications have occurred there. In early, 2019 Haaretz reported that the Iranians were evacuating their forces from the region of the Damascus airport in the wake of the many Israeli attacks. They returned there a year later and recently again reduced their presence in this area.

WI Sheriff: AG Refused Election Crime Evidence in March

By  John B. Nevin, UNCOVER October 29, 2021

A Thursday press conference by the Racine County Sheriff’s Office accused the government officials in charge of administering Wisconsin’s election laws of breaking those election laws. The Sheriff and his lead investigator said that the state Attorney General’s office has known about the case since March but decided there is “nothing to see here.”

Sheriff Christopher Schmaling and the lead investigator Sergeant Michael Luell answered questions and presented documentation which is hosted for the public in a dropbox folder called ‘Election Integrity.’ That link was posted to Facebook along with the Livestream video of the conference. The documentation includes a complete timeline of the potentially criminal events and a slideshow presentation of the facts of the investigation.

Israel envoy to the United Nations rips up a Human Rights Council report at the podium, October 29, 2021 (Screen grab)

Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations Gilad Erdan chastised on Friday the United Nations’ Human Rights Council for its disproportionate condemnation of Israel, tearing up the organization’s annual report while at the podium.

In a speech to the General Assembly, the Israeli envoy slammed the UNHRC for its “obsessive, anti-Israel bias” during a special session at which the council presented its annual report.

Another Medical Expert Warns: Do Not Give COVID Jab to Kids

By  Michelle Edwards, UNCOVERDC

Another medical expert issued a severe warning against vaccinating children for COVID-19. At Tuesday’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Advisory Committee Meeting, Chemist Dr. Brian Dressen, Ph.D., urged panel members, “Please do not give this [COVID-19] vaccine to kids.” The committee ultimately endorsed Pfizer’s EUA COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 to 11, despite strong objections raised by many doctors, scientists, and researchers during the eight-hour meetingHe advised the panel that the Pfizer inoculation:

“Failed any reasonable risk-benefit calculus in connection with children.”

13 European states call on Israel to halt plans for 3,000 settlement homes

T. Belman. I fail to see what if anything the US and the EU are doing for us. First of all they refer to Judea and Samaria as Occupied Palestinian Territory. That goes way beyond their catch phrase “disputed territory” which is itself misleading. Just because its “disputed”, it doesn’t mean that those disputing have any legal or factual claims to back it up.

Their chief function is to restrain us.
  • They favour the JCPOA which permits Iran to get the bomb.
  • They are against Israel settlement expansion.
  • They back the division of Jerusalem by backing the Palestinian Consulate in Jerusalem.
  • They prevent Israel from erradicating Hamas.
  • They allowed Hezbollah to acquire 150,000 missiles and allow Hamas to rearm
  • They finance the illegal construction of Palestinian homes in Area C
  • They finance all manner of anti-israel NGO’s
  • They are leveraging the Abrahamic Accords to force more concessions from Israel.
  • In short, they work against Israel rather than for/with Israel.
A day after US rebuke, UK, France and Germany are among countries saying Israel should ‘immediately’ scrap project

Why Fauci and the global cabal insist your children be injected for ‘protection’ against a disease that poses no threat to their health

by Leo Hohmann 10.26.2021

Ronald Reagan once said, “Don’t be afraid to see what you see.”

He made the statement in his farewell address on Jan. 11, 1989. He was giving advice on how U.S. foreign policy should view the former Soviet Union as it tried to shed its image as a brutal totalitarian society.

What Reagan was trying to say is that if it still looks like communism, then it probably is. Don’t pay attention to what they call it. Pay attention to how it looks, how it feels to those living under the regime.

The crucial but underrated gift of being ‘a people apart’ – GREAT ARTICLE-VERY PROFOUND

Many liberal Jews don’t want to know about Jewish exceptionalism because it runs smack into the cardinal precepts of liberal dogma—universalism, the rejection of cultural singularity and the eradication of difference as “discrimination.”

By Melanie Phillips , Oct 29 , 2021

Liberals and Muslims
Liberals and Muslims

(JNS) Distressingly, more and more Jews are turning against Israel and recycling anti-Jewish narratives.

This is particularly true in America, where the majority of Jews support the Democratic Party, which has largely signed up to “intersectionality,” the dogma of overlapping systems of presumed prejudice based on race, gender and class.

Earlier this year, David Bernstein, the former head of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, launched the Jewish Institute for Liberal Values.

Gravitas: Has the Arab world abandoned Palestine?

T. Belman. She is totally wrong in her description of historical fact. Particularly when she says that the world promised a two state solution 100 years ago; one for the Jews and one for the Palestinians. She has confused the two-state solution with the partition of Palestine into two future entities, Israel and Jordan. It is true that Britain proposed in the thirties contrary to law to further divide Israel into two states and that the UN, contrary to law, recommended Partition in 1947.

What was legally decided in the San Remo Conference in 1920 was that all of Palestine would be the Jewish National Home.

Irrationality and the Covid vaccine

Loss of balance over the pandemic crosses continents and political divisions

By Melanie Phillips   Oct 28/21

Dancing against the Plague; Pieter Bruegel, 1518

In my Times (£) column this week, I wrote about the dangerous irrationality of those  implacably opposed to the Covid-19 vaccine.

I wrote that while some concerns about the Covid vaccine were understandable — due to the acceleration of the normal testing regimen, or concerns about civil liberties if vaccination is made a condition of someone’s job or entry into a venue — there had been a significant loss of rationality and any sense of proportion.

The Persistence of Antisemitic Conspiracy Theories

By Kevin A, AM THINKER

Anyone who has spent a fair amount of time on the internet has invariably encountered some form of anti-Jewish rhetoric.  In many ways it has become fashionable to hate on the Jews again.  It’s a phenomenon that isn’t just on the right or the left, contrary to popular belief, but reaches across the entire political spectrum.  The difference now is that it’s no longer relegated to the fringes, but has gone mainstream.

Anti-Semitism is certainly nothing new.  In Europe’s Middle Ages, Jews were blamed for everything from the crucifixion of Christ to spreading diseases by poisoning wells.  Blood libel accusations asserted that Jews routinely kidnapped children and murdered them to use in their blood religious rituals.

Refuting the Narrative and Winning the Tribal War

by Victor Rosenthal       October 28, 2021

Last week, Elder of Ziyon described an interesting conjecture on the origin of the word “Palestine”: that it is derived from the Greek word for “wrestler,” which is part of the name taken by Jacob when he wrestled – “isra” – with an angel of God, “El.” So “Palestine” means “Israel.”

Is it true? Who knows? But it is ironic in the light of the assertions of the Palestinian Arabs that they are “natives,” an indigenous people that were “colonized” by the European Jews who, according to them, are not even a people but just a religious sect.
