Bennett: ‘Our tolerance for the unvaccinated has run out’

PM discusses new COVID-related plans, including genetic scanning mechanism at Ben Gurion airport to help deal with ‘the next variant.’

Arutz Sheva Staff , Sep 12 , 2021

At a government discussion on Sunday on COVID-19, ministers unanimously approved the proposal to broaden the “Green Class” outline to the entire educational system, Channel 12 reported.

“Regarding the education system – we will adopt the model,” added Bennett, adding that after the holidays mass tests would be carried out in the education system.

“This time the distribution will not be through the school but in an alternative logistical way and parents will write a note.”

On Abraham Accords Anniversary, Biden Is Tepid About Middle East Peace

A historic breakthrough has been dragged into partisan politics.

By Jonathan H. Ferziger, a Jerusalem-based nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council and a former Middle East correspondent for Bloomberg News. FOREIGN POLICY   SEPTEMBER 10, 2021, 1:32 PM

By neglecting to take ownership of the Abraham Accords and mumbling only faint praise for Israel’s new ties with former Arab adversaries, U.S. President Joe Biden is helping drag Arab-Israeli peace—the rock of bipartisan Middle East policy—into partisan politics. Next week is the one-year anniversary of the historic peace deal between Israel, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates, but the White House has left it to the Republicans to celebrate the occasion. One year after then-U.S. President Donald Trump brought officials from the three countries to a signing ceremony on the White House lawn, his former Middle East team is leading the celebration of its diplomatic breakthrough with a possible eye toward the 2024 elections.

Why Bennett Could Usher in a One-state Solution

By Jack Khoury, HAARETZ

Since taking office in June, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has announced at every opportunity that “There will be no diplomatic process with the Palestinians.” The goal is to improve their socioeconomic situation, a development he believes will bring stability and reduce violence. There will be no discussion of national rights, of borders, of the issue of Jerusalem, and certainly not of the right of return.

Israel will continue to control the land, airspace, water resources, and the Palestinian population registry. That is the reality to which the Palestinians – in the West Bank and to some extent also in the Gaza Strip – must accustom themselves. Anyone who dares to resist will pay for it, but if the Palestinians behave, they will get access to 4G internet. If they step up the security coordination with Israel and keep Gaza quiet, they’ll even receive economic compensation. In short: Eat, drink, and be merry (in your own cities) – but forget your dreams of statehood.

‘The Greatest Existential Threat to America’

By David Horowitz, FPM

Our Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin – a leader who presided over the worst, most incompetent, most humilitating military defeat in the history of our nation – is black. Of course, he’s black. He was appointed by Biden to display the wonderful diversity of the most progressive president in history. He wasn’t chosen because he was a brilliant military leader (obviously). He was chosen because he was a political hack ready and willing to embrace even the most suicidal left-wing policies. (Note: Left-wing policies are by their very nature suicidal because the defining characteristic of the left is that it hates America and wants to “dismantle” it and replace it with the left-wing fantasy of a socially just future.)

The Old Peace Treaties vs. the Abraham Accords

By September 12, 2021

President Bill Clinton watches King Hussein and PM Yitzhak Rabin shaking hands, October 1994, image via Israel GPO

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Unlike Israel’s earlier peace agreements with Egypt and Jordan, the Abraham Accords involved Arab countries that do not border Israel, have never fought it on the battlefield, and are relatively unburdened by the Palestinian question. Accordingly, they were able to implement a “people to people” peace that eluded their predecessors.

The search for a peaceful settlement to the conflict between Israel and its neighbors reached a critical juncture in 1979 when Egyptian president Anwar Sadat and Israeli PM Menachem Begin signed the Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty. Fourteen years later, in September 1993, Israel and the PLO signed the Declaration of Principles on Interim Self-Government Agreements (DOP) after secret talks in Oslo, and in October 1994 a Jordanian-Israeli peace treaty was signed. In the subsequent two-and-a-half decades, no new Arab-Israeli agreements were signed until the conclusion in August 2020 of the Abraham Accords between Israel, the UAE, and Bahrain, followed a month later by normalization agreements between the Jewish state, Sudan, and Morocco.

What the White House is now doing puts every American in danger

The White House is run today by Obama insiders who are back in power. They are more experienced in one thing than anything else. They know how to organize a movement of people around ideas. This is very powerful. They also understand that the key to organizing people around ideas is to control the information. And they understand well that Facebook has more control over information than any other source today. Therefore, the White House and Facebook have begun to control the information flow from Facebook. This is indeed frightening.

Exhausted, out of food: How 4 fugitives were caught, with help of Arab Israelis

Reports to cops by local residents who encountered the escapees were instrumental in their capture; trackers following discarded items and footprints in the dirt did the rest

TOI

Five days into a national manhunt for six Palestinian security prisoners who escaped from a high-security jail in northern Israel, police captured two of the fugitives in Nazareth Friday night. Hours later, two others — including notorious terror commander Zakaria Zubeidi — were apprehended in the nearby town of Shibli–Umm al-Ghanam.

In both cases, Arab Israelis who encountered the fugitives reported them to authorities, aiding in their capture. Police sources told Walla news that dozens of Arabs phoned in reports in recent days.

The fugitives had managed to avoid capture since breaking out of Gilboa Prison early Monday.

Iconic photographs of 9/11

Tierney’s Real News (9/11/21)

The Falling Man

At fifteen seconds after 9:41 a.m., on September 11, 2001, a photographer named Richard Drew took a picture of a man falling through the sky—falling through time as well as through space. People on the ground were gasping because people in the building were jumping.

He started shooting pictures through a 200mm lens. He was standing between a cop and an emergency technician, and each time one of them cried, “There goes another,” his camera found a falling body and followed it down for a nine- or twelve-shot sequence.

Beyond Iran, the US and Israel Must Work Together to Counter China

America should help Israel develop mechanisms for reviewing both inbound investments and outbound commerce to counter Chinese influence, argue three experts from JINSA.

By   ,  and ,
September 09, 2021 at 2:23 PM

While top Israeli officials focus their attention on the future of the Iran nuclear deal, another, more subtle threat emanating from much farther east than Tehran is growing in the region, according to Vice Admiral (ret.) John Bird, Erielle Davidson and Ari Cicurel of the Jewish Institute for National Security of America. Israel and the US must check the ambitions of Beijing, they argue below, and with an unusual weapon: oversight.

When President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met last week, US attempts at reviving the Iran nuclear deal topped the agenda – and it was clear the two leaders still do not see eye to eye. But beyond Tehran, there’s another area of growing geopolitical concern that could offer an opportunity for mutually beneficial, and much needed, cooperation between the U.S. and its Middle Eastern ally: countering China’s activity in the region and inside Israel itself. To address the security challenges posed by Beijing, Washington and Jerusalem should and must work together, economically.

Biden’s Vaccine Mandate: Unconstitutional, Unscientific, Underhanded

By Mark Hanna, AM THINKER

“Tonight, I’m announcing that the Department of Labor is developing an emergency rule to require all employers with 100 or more employees that together employee[sic] over 80 million workers to ensure their workforces are fully vaccinated, or show a negative test at least once a week,” Biden pontificated on Thursday.

The edict hasn’t actually been issued yet; it is only in the making.  The White House has given itself several weeks — even months, possibly — for OSHA to bring it into force.

After cratering his own approval rating down to an unprecedented 39% — the lowest ever for a Democrat president at this point in his term — Biden seems to have retreated from his imbecilic “Ready, Fire, Aim” Afghanistan withdrawal strategy, which he boastfully executed under an immovable August 31 deadline.

Celebrating Our Enemies, Twenty Years after 9/11

T Belman.  Islam is the mortal enemy of the Judeo-Christian world, Israel included, and we refuse to recognize it. To the contrary we treat it with the respect it doesn’t deserve.  More than that we protect it from criticism.

America dives, Islam thrives.

By Bruce Bawer, FPM

On 9/11, the world was shown, in one horrific, indelible image, precisely what Islam is all about. Today, to write the previous sentence is to be guilty of Islamophobia. How did that come to be? It began in the days after 9/11 itself, when George W. Bush – by repeatedly insisting that the cause of the jihadists had nothing to do with Islam – effectively ruled out of bounds any criticism of that religion, or any honest education and open discussion about it. Instead, Bush – who had gotten it into his head that all religions are basically good, and who was manipulated by advisors who wanted to project American power in a part of the world about which they knew very little – used 9/11 as an excuse to rein in Americans’ civil liberties and go nation-building abroad.

Why Israel’s transfer to US Central Command could help deter Iran

By Bradley Bowman, FDD

U.S. Central Command announced Sept. 1 that it has assumed responsibility for U.S. forces in Israel. This positive development reflects changes in Arab-Israeli relations and offers an opportunity to build a more unified and militarily capable American-Israeli-Arab coalition to deter aggression from Iran and its terrorist proxies — one of CENTCOM’s top priorities.

Despite Israel’s location in the Middle East, when CENTCOM was created in 1983, responsibility for the Jewish state was assigned to U.S. European Command. That decision reflected Israel’s political isolation from its Arab neighbors. As a Pentagon news report noted in January with a bit of understatement, Israel’s regional isolation would have “complicated” efforts by CENTCOM to coordinate multilateral exercises and operations that included Israel.

The Red State Rebellion Against The Vaccine Mandate

Read also: Biden Adviser Says Administration Will ‘Run Over’ GOP Governors Who Resist Vaccine Mandates

By Wendi Strauch Mahoney, UNCVERDC

A red state rebellion against the vaccine mandate is now unfolding after President Biden laid out his six-point plan to fight COVID-19. Biden announced what many see as draconian vaccine mandates on Thursday in his speech to the nation. He told the American people, “we’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin.”

Officials from twenty-seven states have now announced their refusal to cooperate. Right out of the gate, South Carolina’s Republican Governor tweeted, “The American Dream has turned into a nightmare under President Biden and the radical Democrats.”

More Young Adults Find a Sense of Belonging Through Meaningful Shabbat Experiences

By Jason Edelstein, ONE TABLE

September 10, 2021 — With a bleak news cycle and pandemic anxiety again top of mind, more Jewish young adults than ever are finding a sense of belonging through Shabbat. In the first half of 2021, OneTable nourished more than all the dinners in 2020 – that’s 17,000 dinners all hosted by volunteers, creating 100,000 seats at Shabbat tables across the country.

From its beginning in 2014, Jewish funders and practitioners joined forces through OneTable to address two alarming trends: 1) Jewish young adults dissociating from Judaism – 30% of Jewish millennials between 30-38 describe themselves as having “no religion” (1 in 2 under the age of 30 say the same), and 2) Young adults are facing an epidemic of loneliness, isolation, and addiction to technology. More than half of millennials viewed themselves as lonely even before COVID-19.

20 years ago, the UN Durban Conference aimed to combat racism but devolved into a ‘festival of hate’ against Jews.

T. Belman. “Devolved”, my ass. This takeover of the conference by the NGO’s was intended and planned from the beginning. It was attended by 3000 NGO’s.

NGO Forum at Durban Conference 2001 . NGO Moniter was there and fully reported on it..

BY RON KAMPEAS , JTA

(JTA) — Some of the Jewish organizational officials flying into the coastal city of Durban, South Africa, on the last week of August 2001 were excited. They believed the U.N.’s anti-racism conference there would be an opportunity to exchange notes on a cause that the Jewish world had worked on for decades.

Others, steeped in how the United Nations and its affiliates functioned, were wary of some of the players, who were known for tirelessly steering every international conference to complaints about Israel. Still others who had been tracking preparations for the gathering knew that Iran, Israel’s implacable enemy, was planning to take over the proceedings.

Totally tolerating the Taliban: Naive tolerism in the face of Islamism

Toleration of evil is not a Jewish value. And we can look back to the 1967 War, to see how ideological tolerism led to a key mistake by a top Israeli General. Op-ed.

"Lest they pray"; police escort Jews on Temple Mount
“Lest they pray”; police escort Jews on Temple Mount

A number of excellent pro-Israel writers have addressed the issue of the lessons for Israel with respect to President Biden’s bizarre handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan of American troops and citizens and Afghan interpreters.

Some argue that America can no longer be trusted by its allies. Others conclude that America is weak and in decline. Can Israel rely on an administration headed by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and filled with anti-Israel policy makers?
