DataRepublican has uncovered a dangerous, homegrown color revolution

These aren’t basement-dwelling losers. They are well-funded academics and former federal intel and military officials plotting a very real insurrection.

You know that horror movie line, “Be afraid, be very afraid”? I think it applies when you learn that hundreds of once well-paid, high-level, and very leftist former government officials and former military and intelligence officers are working with a radical trans academic to bring down the American government. Yet, funnily enough, despite hours of video support, this information isn’t just a conspiracy theory made up from imaginary dots and invisible lines; it’s stuck firmly on X. It’s time to change that.

The intrepid and singularly focused DataRepublican somehow got hold of this video material and has been digging through it, identifying who’s in it, examining their backgrounds, and analyzing their goals. It’s simple enough: A collection of former USAID employees and other one-time Democrat intelligence and military officials, all led by a Harvard academic named Erica Chenowith, who dresses like a man and claims “they” pronouns, are plotting to overthrow the American government. That’s all.

Because I often find it hard to follow DataRepublican’s meticulously documented X threads (I need a more linear, essay-style format), it’s a good thing that there are now two other ways to understand what’s going on. The first is a video that DataRepublican made:

The second is an essay from Cynical Publius spelling out what DataRepublican had found as of a couple of days ago (she’s found more since then):

It’s a long essay (but still worth reading), that can be summarized briefly as follows:

The essay argues that the United States is currently experiencing an attempted “color revolution”—a coordinated effort to delegitimize and ultimately overthrow President Trump’s administration using tactics previously employed to topple governments overseas. American intelligence agencies, USAID, and taxpayer-funded nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) helped engineer similar revolutions in countries such as Serbia, Georgia, and Ukraine. Many people from those same organizations (which Trump, with Musk’s help, defunded) now claim they’re defending American democracy by trying to overthrow the elected government.

Every color revolution has six principal elements:

(1) funding opposition groups through NGOs;

(2) training activists in protest tactics and political organization;

(3) using sympathetic media, slogans, and symbols to undermine a government’s legitimacy;

(4) exploiting disputed elections to trigger mass demonstrations;

(5) encouraging influential political and institutional figures to abandon the existing government; and

(6) persuading military and security forces to defect. The videos that DataRepublican has exposed show that each of these elements has been planned and many, aided by George Soros funds, are already in play.

Organizations such as Indivisible, 50501, and National Security Leaders for America are participating in a coordinated campaign against Trump. The outcome of the 2026 midterm elections could be the trigger they need. The activists hope to spark violent uprisings that leave Trump no option but to invoke the Insurrection Act. At that point, Democrats in governors’ mansions and on the streets will go into full-on color revolution resistance mode.

In other words, unlike January 6, which was a set-up, this is the real insurrection.

Cynical Publius notes that the videos and the existing, well-funded organizations show that the planned color revolution effort is real, organized, and dangerous. It will fail, though, if American troops remain true to their constitutional oaths.

I’ll add that, while I trust most enlisted troops, I worry about many in the college-educated officer class. Just look at the college-educated, hard-left former rear admiral running for the House in South Carolina’s first congressional district. (If you’re in the first congressional district, vote for Jenny Costa Honeycutt, because her Democrat opponent should not be allowed anywhere near Congress.)

The people whom DataRepublican and Cynical Publius are exposing are not playacting losers in basements who periodically emerge to throw bottles of urine at police and try to set buildings on fire. Those people are bad enough, but they’re just the useful idiots. The real danger is the shadowy (but caught on video) people behind them—affluent, well-versed in government operations, organized, and well-funded. If you doubt me, look east to France.
