Peloni: Exactly!

Let me be clear: I totally stand by our people, our soldiers, and our leadership as they are defending us with strength, clarity, and a vision rooted in Jewish destiny in this war, overcoming the deep state powers in the military, legal establishment and media that have made it harder to fight this war. But today, I write this with a heavy heart, because Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whom I’ve explained and defended many times, is making two critical mistakes that I wish he wouldn’t be making.

‘I have lost faith in Netanyahu’ – Following Cabinet’s decision to takeover Gaza, Finance Minister Smotrich threatens to leave government

Religious Zionism, Jewish Power MKs threaten elections if Netanyahu plan falls short of total Hamas defeat

Finance Minister and Religious Zionism chairman Bezalel Smotrich voted against the proposal of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to have the IDF take control of the entire Gaza Stip, and later criticized Netanyahu, saying he has “lost faith” that the prime minister “can and wants to lead the IDF” to do so.

Smotrich strongly attacked Netanyahu’s proposal in a video statement uploaded to ?, saying it misleads both the Israeli public and the reservists, because it its goal is not a complete and final victory over Hamas, rather it is only intended to increase pressure on Hamas to reach a hostage-ceasefire deal.

Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee exposes how CBS News edited an interview

By Andrea Widburg | Am Thinker | August 10, 2025

Photo by U.S. Embassy Jerusalem – Flickr, CC BY 2.0, Wikipedia

Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has essentially accused CBS News of leaving so much of an interview with him on the cutting room floor that it effectively changed the tenor of the interview. CBS News’s goal was obvious: To make Israel look genocidal and to make the Trump administration look either feckless or complicit.

Tehran Ramps Up Executions Amid Fears of Post-War Unrest

Peloni: Had this regime been removed from power, their influence extending to Lebanon, Yemen, Gaza and the region could have been ended by now.  The determination to keep Israel from seeking victory in battle will be seen to have a very unfortunate consequence, and for more than just Israel.  This regime must be ended.

In Iran, espionage trials have become a form of theater in which political prisoners face very real executions. It’s an attempt by the regime to mask its failure to stop Israel’s spy agency, the Mossad, from operating within its borders during June’s 12-day war. It is also an attempt to cow a population primed for unrest.

Fat Gazans vs Real Famines

Peloni:In watching this young man’s challenging comments before the world, it calls to mind the fact that real victims of real famines have never had their issues addressed with such resolve as has the fact-checked-false-famine claimed to exist in Gaza.  As people are abandoned in Gaza, under the duress of a terror regime, blocked from exiting the hell of Gaza, the world is flooding that city state with multiple venues of aid, dropping it from the sky, passing it out personally, and shipping it in via thousands of trucks daily…and yet, there is no famine in Gaza and never was.  How despicable is it to have billions of dollars of food assets sent to the terror hub of Hamas, while ignoring the real famine of the hostages in Gaza for the past two years.

Yet in lands far distant from the Jewish state, there are real famines taking place today, famines which have existed for years, resulting in thousands of deaths, all of which have failed to gain the interest of the world in anything remotely approaching the effort to keep the non-starving Gazans fed.

This calumny must end, and so too the fake campaign to end hunger in Gaza.  Ship that food to Yemen or any of the countless other realms which are in fact suffering famine, and decimate the regime in Gaza once and for all, freeing the Gazans to leave Gaza under their own initiatives while allowing Israel to live without the continued weaponization of the Gazans against Israel under such false pretexts as the notion that Gaza is the most famine stricken land in the world.

Annex the Gaza Strip to truly hit Hamas where it hurts

Peloni:  Every plan which is motivated by the return of the hostages rather than completing victory over Gaza is fraught with error and destined to surrender to Hamas in exchange for the hostages.  This is why the war still persists.  It is why the existential threat in Gaza is still in power.  And this is why victory stands at odds with the return of the hostages.

We have nothing to lose and so much more to gain if Israel moves ahead and annexes the Gaza Strip.

Israel and America have struggled to bring Hamas to the negotiating table in the hope of cutting a hostage release deal and moving the conflict to some kind of cessation. Read more…

Germany Will Halt Weapons to Jewish State Despite Images of Tortured, Emaciated Jewish Hostages

Peloni:  As much as Israel is dependent upon German arms, Germany is coincidentally dependent on its arms sales, perhaps explaining the qualifying remark of the embargo limited to “all weapons that could serve the IDF in fighting in the Gaza Strip are banned from export.”  Germany’s economy is no longer the robust vehicle of industry which it once was, making it dependent upon those industries which it still manages to entice its customers.  Still, its treatment of Israel will come to signal how fickel and whimsical its reliability has become of late, which may have a great affect upon future contracts with more than just Israel.  Additionally, this foolish policy likewise displays a coincidental need to project the German govt’s support of such a policy to the growing impact of the German Muslim community.  It is doubtful if Germany will ever recover from Merkel’s betrayal of replacing the German, and European, people with the fleeing masses of North Africa.

Pope Francis…On the Balance Sheet Regarding Israel and Jews In General

by Gerald A. Honigman

By Zebra48bo – Own work, CC BY-SA 4.0, Wikipedia

I recently read an article by the venerable American Jewish Committee’s Interreligious Affairs director, Rabbi Noam Marans, which, unfortunately, gave far too much credit for where it was due to the late Pope Francis regarding his relationship and true feelings and actions towards Jews in general and the sole, minuscule, resurrected nation of Israel Reborn in particular…

Intelligence Expert Aaron Cohen and Rabbi Chaim Mentz Discuss New Israeli Offensive

Peloni:  Cohen explains that full intensity of force which will be brought to bear will result in new intelligence which might lead to the rescue of some of the remaining hostages.  To this, Rabbi Mentz gives voice to the objection of placing Gaza back in the hands of the very same community of those who elected Hamas into power twenty years ago.  Also discussed is why Israel is never allowed to win.  6min video

Arutz Tov: Moshe Feiglin interviews Francisco Gil-White

Peloni:  Fascinating conversation between Moshe Feiglin, leader of the Herut Party, and Prof. Franscisco Gil-White, editor of the website Historical and Investigative Research and the founder of the Fundación para el Análisis del Conflicto Étnico y Social (FACES),  in which they explore the antagonistic history which the US has had for Israel and which has either been supported or accepted by Israeli leaders as well.  It seems the thread which separates the views put forward by these two champions of Israeli sovereignty is to what degree the failure of Israeli sovereignty might be tied to US leadership rather than Israeli leadership.

Explaining the Geyser of Jew-Hatred

Peloni:  The spectrum of Jew Hatred is broad in its origin, specific in its target, and devastating in its effect.  It is the Oldest Hatred, and rises in every generation to divide our people, to subject us to inconceivable horrors, and to diminish our numbers…and yet we persist and will continue to meet this challenge in every age.  As Joan’s well described cypher of Jew Hatred explains, our opposition is broad and unrelenting, and frustrated from their historic failures to drive us from this world.

David’s Sling Proves It Can Handle a Wide Range of Threats

By

The Israeli defense industry, led by the big three — Rafael, Elbit, and Israel Aircraft Industries — keeps on coming up with new weapons, such as the laser-based anti-missile weapon, the Iron Beam, that will cost only a few dollars as compared to the tens of thousands for the Iron Dome that does the same thing, and in improving those it already possesses. Now Rafael’s David’s Sling, an air and missile defense system, that has lately been improved, has been tested and managed to surpass all expectations in shooting down short, medium, and long-range missiles, including ballistic missiles. It does so at a fraction of the cost of either the Arrow 2, used to shoot down ballistic missiles, or the Iron Dome, used to shoot down short-range rockets.

The Agony and Explanation of the Slow, Cautious Steps in Gaza

Peloni:  Avi is quite right.

Avi Abelow

Screengrab via Youtube [Cropped]

For many of us who have supported this war effort from day one, it’s been agonizing to watch the slow, cautious steps taken by Israel’s leadership in Gaza. We’ve seen the terror tunnels, the barbarity of October 7th, and the endless cycle of ceasefire deals exploited by Hamas to regroup, rearm and boobytrap areas/homes we previously cleared. And we’ve asked ourselves again and again: why haven’t we just gone in and finished the job?

Germany Suspends Arms Exports to Israel Following Gaza City Takeover Announcement

Peloni:  This was a significant blow.  Importantly, much of what has been shipped to Israel since October 7 from Germany has been products purchased under previously signed contracts, and needed replacement parts for existing systems.  Also, the fate of the yet to be completed Dolphin submarines from Germany are as now not being affected by this arms suspension.

Latest Developments

  • Merz Confirms Military Exports Halt: The German government has announced a suspension of certain military exports to Israel following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to take over Gaza City as the next step in the Jewish state’s bid to eliminate Hamas from the coastal enclave. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz asserted that the “even harsher military action by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip, approved by the Israeli cabinet last night, makes it increasingly difficult for the German government to see how these goals will be achieved.” He added, “under these circumstances, the German government will not authorize any exports of military equipment that could be used in the Gaza Strip until further notice.” Following the announcement, Netanyahu held a phone call with Merz in which he expressed “disappointment” with the decision, with his office subsequently issuing a statement charging Germany with “rewarding Hamas terrorism.”

Assessing the Armenia-Azerbaijan Agreement

Peloni:  Hudson Institute Research Fellow Zineb Riboua moderates a conversation between Hudson Institute Senior Fellow Michael Doran and Damjan Krnjevi? Miškovi?, professor of practice at Azerbaijan’s ADA University and editor of the policy journal Baku Dialogues, regarding the many aspects of the Armenia Azerbaijan Agreement.  In this discussion they explain that this agreement, despite being between Armenia and Azerbaijan, raises the political capital of Turkey and Azerbaijan, at the expense of the Iranians and to perhaps a lesser extent Russia.  First half of the interview covers the most important portion of the discussion.
