The American Colossus May Crumble

By July 23, 2021

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The US is no longer the country that recovered from the Pearl Harbor disaster and won WWII, or that both morally and economically sustained itself throughout its prolonged ideological conflict with the Soviet Union. The people of the once great country are confused and disoriented. Once America’s feet of clay crumble, the colossus will never rise again.

“A colossus with feet of clay” is how many, allegedly including Winston Churchill, used to describe the Soviet Union, one of the superpowers of the last century. That description attested to the country’s bombastic rhetoric coupled with its perceived military might juxtaposed against the inherent lethal flaws of the Soviet political and economic system.

The Narrative and the Objective

Argumentum ad consequentiam – Concluding that an idea or proposition is true or false because the consequences of it being true or false are desirable or undesirable.

Micah Goodman believes that there is, at least today, no solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. But he has a plan:

The concept of shrinking the conflict means pursuing any policy that significantly boosts Palestinian self-government without jeopardizing Israeli security. At the heart of shrinking the conflict is an effort to create territorial contiguity between Palestinian autonomous islands in the West Bank, connect this Palestinian autonomy to the wider world, and promote Palestinian economic prosperity and independence. The purpose of this strategy is to transform the West Bank’s fragmented and fragile network of autonomous islands into a contiguous and prosperous polity. Shrinking the conflict would give the Palestinians what they currently lack: a critical mass of self-governance.

Bennett: ‘Vaccines, not protests, is how we can defeat the Delta variant’

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett urges Israelis to get inoculated as the number of serious patients nears 100. “The rate in which the number of serious patients is growing is significant, similar to the rate of increase in new cases,” Health Ministry chief says.

The world reacts to Israel with arrogance and hypocrisy – opinion

“The home of an entire family shouldn’t be demolished for the action of one individual,” the Americans pontificated. But the arrogance was only beginning.

The US State Department reach a new level of sanctimonious ridiculousness when, after the IDF destroyed the home of a Palestinian lone-wolf terrorist who killed one teenager and critically maimed another in a drive-by shooting, the US Embassy in Jerusalem issued an official communique lambasting the Israeli action.  “The home of an entire family shouldn’t be demolished for the action of one individual,” the Americans pontificated. But the arrogance was only beginning. “All parties [must] refrain from unilateral steps that exacerbate tensions and undercut efforts to advance a negotiated two-state solution,” the communique continued, “and this certainly includes the punitive demolition of Palestinian homes.”

Shaked says she’d torpedo coalition if it agreed to settlement freeze

T. Belman. Now that’s how you do it. Pre-empt the US before it dictates. She should also say the same thing to prevent an American Consulate serving the Palestinians from being located in Jerusalem.

Yamina No. 2 tells newspaper her ‘red line’ is the government doing something she is ideologically opposed to, but such a move seems unlikely under coalition agreement

Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked warned that she would leave the coalition government if it agreed to a request from the Biden administration to implement a building freeze in West Bank settlements.

In an interview published Friday in the Makor Rishon newspaper, Shaked was asked what her “red lines” are, which would lead her to leave and destabilize Israel’s new government.

Trump was on fire in Arizona

TIERNEY NEWS

President Trump made a fabulous speech, nearly two hours long, in Phoenix to a packed house. He was on fire. One of his best ever. Here are some highlights!

“We will not stop until we reclaim our American birthright of honest and Free and Fair elections.”

“The 2020 Election was a total disgrace. It was the most corrupt. They all say sit back and wait, you’ll win in 2024. I say, wait a minute, I just won 6 months ago. I tell Republicans, you’re not going to have a future in 2022 or 2024 if you don’t find out how they cheated with hundreds of thousands and millions of votes in 2020, because you won’t win anything.”

Eliezer “Geizi” Tsafrir, a long-serving officer of the Mossad, was a key field operator throughout Israel’s first four decades.

Tsafrir’s career was focused on two areas of primary importance to the young state: 1) The strategy of the periphery, in which the Jewish state sought to break its isolation in the Middle East by developing relations with non-Arab states in the region – Turkey, Iran and Ethiopia, and 2) the strategy of minorities, whereby Israel sought to make common cause with other non-Arab and/or non-Muslim minority communities in the Middle East.

Iran: Security forces use live ammunition and birdshot to crush Khuzestan protests

Amnesty International    3 July 2021,

Iran’s security forces have deployed unlawful force, including by firing live ammunition and birdshot, to crush mostly peaceful protests taking place across the southern province of Khuzestan, Amnesty International said today. Video footage from the past week, coupled with consistent accounts from the ground, indicate security forces used deadly automatic weapons, shotguns with inherently indiscriminate ammunition, and tear gas to disperse protesters.

Capitol Breacher Gets 8 Months Conservatives go to prison; leftists go home.

By Matthew Vadum, FPM

Paul Allard Hodgkins was sentenced to 8 months in prison this week after pleading guilty to felony-level obstruction of an official proceeding for supposedly interrupting the congressional count of Electoral College votes that took place during the breach of the U.S. Capitol on January 6 of this year.

Hodgkins’ is the first felony conviction to arise out of the events that the mainstream media insist on inaccurately describing as an “insurrection.”

When leftists shun ivermectin, they show how scientifically illiterate they are

By James V. DeLong, AM THINKER

Saturday, July 24 is World Ivermectin Day, as “people of the world will come together to celebrate ivermectin for a day focused on unity, love, and gratitude for this precious gift from Mother Earth.”

I will be with them.  Being of venerable age, I am at risk for COVID, so I follow the debates over the vaccines and treatments, such as ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine, with intense interest.

My conclusion, on which I am willing to bet my life, is that taking ivermectin is a superior alternative to vaccination, both for prevention and, should it come to it, treatment.  I am convinced by the careful scientific work of the FLCCC, the BIRD group, and independent researcher Andrew Hill and reinforced by the refusal of the government health agencies to respond in any coherent fashion.

ZERO COVID Deaths: Sweden’s Anti-lockdown Strategy Has Worked

By Selwyn Duke, NEW AMERICAN

Sweden isn’t in the news much right now, for both good and bad reasons. The good reason is that unlike in France, where massive protests and rioting inspired by new anti-coronavirus lockdown measures have made headlines, the Nordic country is peaceful. The bad one is that even though the reason it’s peaceful is because its anti-lockdown strategy has worked, the COVID-panic-porn-obsessed media don’t find this newsworthy. After all, if the masses find out that all the civilization-rending lockdowns and onerous virus restrictions are an exercise in scientific obscurantism, a lot of power-mad politicians could face career destruction.

Here’s the news the opinion cartel finds un-newsworthy: As of Wednesday, Sweden’s seven-day rolling average for China virus deaths was zero.

The controversy over Bill Gates becoming the largest private farmland owner in the US

People are drawing connections between Gates’s vast farmlands and climate change advocacy.

By Rebecca Heilweil, RECODE  Jun 11, 2021,

Bill Gates squints while sitting in front of a picture of Earth.

Bill Gates might be a tech billionaire — but he and his wife Melinda French Gates, who are in the process of divorcing, are also two of the largest private farmland owners in the United States.

Recent reports detailing the extent of Gates’s land ownership have prompted criticism from some environmental advocates and farmers, who say there seems to be a contradiction between his public environmental advocacy and his personal investment strategy.

Democrat Lawmaker Oblivious as China Buys Up US Farmland

Sets Stage for Foreign Monopoly on Our Own Food Production

By C. Douglas Golden, WJ      July 22, 2021

Pop quiz, hotshot: Your biggest geopolitical adversary is buying up your country’s farmland. It’s buying up so much, in fact, that this feasibly could become a national security issue in a crisis or war. Do you stop it from buying more? That’s apparently a trick question for Democrats. After all, what if treating your enemy like your enemy “would perpetuate already rising anti-Asian hate”?
