There is no room for antisemites in MAGA movement, Trump says: ‘We don’t need them, we don’t like them’
Peloni: Is antisemitism too popular to actually describe antisemites as being antisemitic, even as POTUS is announcing that there is no room for them in his movement? As Trump initially demonstrated the moral courage needed to whisk away any support from antisemites, he refrained from addressing the antisemitism which is infiltrating its poisonous effect among his base, making his statement rejecting antisemitism no different than those shallow remarks made by Heritage Pres. Roberts or that of VP Vance. So the masquerade of antisemites within the MAGA talking heads will continue to erode support for the most philosemitic movement in US history. As the lack of moral clarity from the top down has already consumed the Democratic party entirely, this is an increasingly worrying sign.
