Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s Likud is continuing to regain its electoral strength, a new poll shows, after having plummeted ten seats during the coronavirus crisis.

The new poll was conducted by Panels Politics, surveying 522 respondents online via the Panel4All agency, and was published Friday morning by Ma’ariv.

The poll found that a growing number of Israelis are willing to support either New Hope chief Gideon Sa’ar or Yamina chairman Naftali Bennett as prime minister in head-to-head matchups against Netanyahu.

Two thousand years of persecution have made most Jews in the world crazy. They can’t take it, but they retain a “Jewish-spark” quality of stubbornness that precludes them from just giving it all up and walking away. They don’t know what Judaism is nor value it especially, but they got from their parents or grandparents that it is a thing more precious to inherit than the mere anomaly of being, say, a lefty or an Italian (or even an Italian known to the FBI as “Lefty.”)

Thus, they may identify as Jewish Communists or as Jewish Democrats or as Jewish Republicans. A few seem to have chosen to hide — Rodney Dangerfield (Jacob Cohen), Lauren Bacall (Betty Perske), Tony Curtis (Bernie Schwartz) , Mike Todd (Avrom Hirsch Goldbogen), Ayn Rand (Alice Rosenbaum). Others have not: Schumer, Nadler, Milton Friedman, Larry David.

Former Likud lawmaker and cabinet minister Benny Begin, son of the party’s iconic founder and former prime minister Menachem Begin, announced on Thursday that he was joining Gideon Sa’ar’s rival New Hope party ahead of the March elections.

Begin, who served 18 combined years as a Likud MK and was long considered a close confidant and ally of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, announced in 2019 he would not vote for the party his father founded over his concerns about the premier’s ethics and the party’s inflammatory rhetoric.

T. Belman. I fought the good fight for which I was highly criticized by some. I was in good company. I relied greatly on the likes of Gen Flynn, Lin Wood, Sidney Powell, Mike Lindell and many others who believe that this day would never come. I also relied on the appointments and EOs Trump made in the last 2 months in preparation of avoiding this outcome. Trump was supposed to release a huge amount of classified documents today. He didn’t. Something interfered with it. Thus we have the farewell speech.

Papadopoulus says they will be released on Tuesday.

One thing remains certain, the election was stolen. This will be finally proven, I believe. This conviction drove my efforts to overturn it and find justice for Trump and the people who voted for him. I make no apologies.
