Sanctions and Sovereignty

Peloni:  I would argue that the use of foreign sanctions on Israeli citizens bears a significant threat against Israel’s national sovereignty no matter the motivation for doing so.  The fact that the Leftists employed these tools of coercion and penalty against the Right using the abuse of power of the American Democrats should not lead us to believe that the Right should now employ these same tools against the Left under the power of the American Republicans.  Instead, I would argue that the corruption which has subverted the conservative goals of national sovereignty and consent of the governed should be resolved by a domestic movement, rather than being forced upon the Israeli nation from abroad.  Or so I would argue.  What do others say on this topic?

Elon Musk’s response to my post—viewed by over a million people, mostly on X—exposing the unprecedented Israeli juristocratic rot on a global scale, raises a fundamental question for the democratic camp in Israel: Where do we go from here?

Should we limit ourselves to demanding transparency regarding the financial channels that funded Israel’s juristocrats through the American deep state, as I’ve asked Musk so far? Or should we escalate and demand crippling personal sanctions against the juristocrats and their collaborators?

Most democrats at this stage are on the right, but there are also some in the moderate left (like Polly Bronstein) who oppose calling on a foreign power to interfere in Israel’s internal affairs. They see it as a violation of sovereignty—an echo of Rome being invited to mediate internal disputes in Second Temple-era Judea, which ultimately led to its destruction.

Among those opposing sanctions:
? Shai Goldstein (who interviewed me along with Tadmor yesterday)
? Itamar Fleishman
? Irit Linor
? Yotam Zimri

Among those supporting sanctions:
Erez Tadmor

Among the undecided:
Yinon Magal (in my estimation)

Later today, I’m set to be interviewed by Berko and Segal on 103FM—yes, the same Berko who held up the sign with Ophira saying: “Biden – Save Us!”

The Sovereignty Dilemma

Sovereignty is an important factor. But if not appealing to a friendly U.S. administration—one that despises the deep state—results in perpetuating the current state of citizens having no sovereignty over their own country, what exactly have we gained?

If the outcome is no sovereignty either way, then the argument against intervention defeats itself.

Moreover, the U.S. administration is expected to govern for at least four more years—and given how the Democratic Party is sinking into the depths of woke ideology, possibly much longer.
So the fear of juristocratic retaliation when the Democrats return to power is far-fetched. By then, the juristocrats won’t even exist anymore.

Besides, every other constitutional mechanism has been blocked by Israel’s Supreme Court through the absurd doctrine of “unconstitutional constitutional amendments.”

So, if the alternative is civil war, I’d rather see paralyzing American sanctions against the juristocrats and their enablersflawed as that may be.

I Turn to You, People of Israel

Those of you who support democracy—what do you think? I have not yet fully decided on the issue of crippling sanctions against:
? The Attorney General
? The Supreme Court justices who ruled in favor of reasonableness
? The Movement for Quality Government
? The Israeli Institute for Juristocracy
? The Forum of Lecturers for Juristocracy
? The 38 NGOs of the New Israel Fund, which took part in upholding the oppressive juristocratic regime

And Besides—They Started It, Didn’t They?

Doesn’t this seem like a fair game to you?

  1. Keep America out of this. There are already enough people on the Woke Left and Woke Right that believe Israel and Jews control everything.

    1) Set up a sting operation on the AG and Supreme Court. Catch them taking bribes or something similar. Don’t use the corrupt police, Shin Bet or any other compromised Israeli institutions to then arrest them. Use people that Bibi trusts. Play just as down and dirty as they do.

    2) Israel needs a James O’Keefe.

    3) Another alternative is just arrest them, have the Knesset pass a new legal system and by the time the corrupt judges and AG are released it is too late.

    4) Israelis are smart – you’ll come up with something.
