Warning from ex-CIA and FBI counterterrorism analyst: ‘the government is going to kill’ President Donald Trump

By Thomas Lifson, AMERICAN THINKER

The signs are all around us that the subversion and worse is afoot among those who feel that the federal government belongs to them, not to the voters of the Republic. You might even say that think of it as “our thing.”

Right out in plain sight, we were warned last week in the words of someone who worked for Robert Mueller when he was head of the FBI. It was on CNN, so few people saw it, and as CNN habitués, they may not have considered it disturbing. Nonetheless, host Jake Tapper was sufficiently alarmed to clarify whether this was a metaphor.

It was not.

CNN counterterrorism analyst Phil Mudd, who worked for the CIA and the FBI when Robert Mueller was the director, on Thursday told host Jake Tapper that “the government is going to kill” President Donald Trump “because he doesn’t support them.”

“Let me give you one bottom line as a former government official,” Mudd began. “The government is going to kill this guy.”

“[Trump] defends Vladimir Putin, their State Department, and CIA officers are coming home. And at Langley and in Foggy Bottom (State Dept headquarters), CIA and State they’re saying, this is how you defend us? We saw the same thing in his transgender comments. What is the military saying to him on transgender? Show us the policy. You know what that means inside government, ain’t going to happen. What did the Department of Justice say on Paul Manafort? You can say what you want, a judge told us we cause to search his home early in the morning because we don’t trust the guy who was your campaign manager,” he said.

“The government is going to kill this guy because he doesn’t support them,” Mudd declared.

Jake Tapper attempted to clear up Mudd’s comments, “obviously, when you’re talking about killing you’re using that as a metaphor.”

“What I’m saying is government — people talk about the deep state — when you disrespect government officials who’ve done 30 years, they’re going to say, ‘Really? You send Vladimir Putin sends U.S. officers home and you support him before us?” Mudd replied.

  1. It is inflammatory and irresponsible speech to make such a public statement suggesting the “govt” was going to attack the president. Before Pres. Kennedy was shot, there was talk about assassinating him, but I don’t know if that was just gossip or public discourse. Planting the idea in someone’s head should be a crime. Regardless, with real despicable and dangerous characters around like Abbas, Assad, Rouhani, Khomeni etc. , they should be “neutralizing” these and leave Trump alone.

  2. @ adamdalgliesh:
Denial is a widespread affliction affecting many Americans but not only. Even after relocation to Israel, (Aliah is quite a different concept), vast numbers of our own arriving from the USA persist on that here as well.
Attempts to murder US Presidents are quite common in the USA and in well known cases elimination is effected. Kennedy, two of that family were murdered, one while in office. President Reagan was targeted and barely escaped the attempt. A Democratic Party representative was critically wounded a few years back.
A few weeks back a darling co traveler Obamatoid attempted mass murder against US representatives.
And many terrible messages of intent against President
Trump are on record. Still, denial is common coin.

  3. It’s rather a coincidence that the article discussing the possible assassination of President Trump, contains a major character named Mudd. A Dr.Mudd was involved in the Lincoln assassination when he gave the shooter treatment for his fractured leg.

    About a 10% murder average.

    HI, Adam

There is always someone out there, it seems, that wants to kill the President and make a name for himself. The most recent “near miss” was the shooting of President Reagan by a deranged man wanting to impress Jodie Foster.

I share Bear and Arnold’s views about CNN and their so-called “expert” interviewees. That is not serious news coverage, to say the least.

  5. I find it very plausible that there are people in the bureaucracy who are conspiring to have Trump assassinated. I believe the assumptions of “American innocence” and “it can’t happen here,” These are characteristically American forms of denial.

  6. @ Bear Klein:
    BK,

I get the same impression regarding Mr Mudd. In any case I do not waste whatever time is left to me in my antique years chasing “news” from CNN, and I advise varied doses of salt on opinions generated by Mr Tapper.

  7. Phillip Mudd is a full time bullshitter. He makes up more than he knows. He lives off his resume and not his knowledge or insight. Anything he says should be taken with a ton of salt.

  8. The danger is clearly evident yet the consequences will be horrific and millions may perish on the Second Civil War. Soros and Obamatoids are at the forefront of the preparations and the deep state is in as well.
Under normal circumstances the BLM and Panthers thugs are not much of a problem, yet millions of illegal residents intentionally imported and kept in sanctuaries are much more dangerous as they will join the hordes..
