Associates of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said that Israel will have to say “yes” to US President Donald Trump’s so-called “Deal of the Century”, even if it includes problematic elements, because the Trump administration has been the friendliest administration to Israel to date, and any other administration would give it a less favorable offer.

“The US President is determined to promote his ‘Deal of the Century’ at any cost with the thought that it will win him the Nobel Prize ahead of the 2020 Election,” Israeli officials told the Yediot Aharonot newspaper, following journalist Nahum Barnea’s report that Trump will hold a peace summit attended by Arab leaders at Camp David – before the Israeli elections – and outline his peace plan.

According to the Israeli officials, Trump’s associates are dissatisfied with Netanyahu’s attempts to postpone the publication of the “Deal of the Century”.

Among Trump’s circle, according to the report, there are those who think that Netanyahu is trying to stall, and therefore the idea to convene the peace summit at Camp David to present the deal was conceived.

A senior US administration official on Wednesday rejected the reports in Israel that Trump is planning such a summit.

“At the moment, no summit is planned. The peace team will conclude its visit to the Middle East, will report to the president and discuss the next steps to expand the achievements that were made at the Bahrain workshop,” the official said.

  1. How will a Palestinian state become financially self supporting? Like Puerto Rico? Jordan? Even tiny Denmark is self supporting but without natural resources. The only thing Arabs manufacture is more Arabs.

  2. PA has not agreed to Trump Deal. They do not talk to USA mostly.

Egypt: Sinai will ‘never be’ part of Trump Israeli-Palestinian peace plan. Egypt told Kusher Pal State needed plus capital in East Jerusalem.

Jordanian King Abdullah told Kusher Pal State needed plus capital in East Jerusalem..

Maybe after those messages Camp David would have been a disaster.

So unless something of substance changes with Arabs Trump Nobel Peace Prize is not happening, certainly during his first term.

Israel will have nothing to agree to because as Greenblatt has said many times the parties must agree among themselves.

Israel really does need to apply its civil law to all Jewish Towns in Judea/Samaria as a first step, sooner than later.

  3. Agree Trump has been very favorable to Israel. Disagree that Israel must sign on to Century deal. Israel can make certain compromises but there are lines. Not annexing in ’67 was bad. Oslo was a disaster.

  4. Donald Trump does not do free lunches. Everything has a price tag and the day of reckoning always comes.
When Trump announced that the US would be moving its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, then Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said Israel will have to pay a price for the US embassy move but it will be worth it.
If the price is that Israel will have to say “yes” to Trump’s “Deal of the Century” no matter what is in it as Ben Ariel writes, then G-d help Israel

  5. So the so called deal of 100 is not necessary for Israel’s betterment but for a mill and a crown for Trump regardless of how much blood flows.
The so called deal should be known now so it can be voted on by Israel’s citizens. Right now what are the erection issue’s? Cigars, ice cream, bottle deposits, lack of leadership, lies , continued fake words eg settlers, west bank.
Who has who’s gonna nominate Trump to Nobel committee? They know they f***** ** Obama will they do it again?
