2 powerful speeches against communism: Marco Rubio and Steven Miller

Madeline Brooks: Not just words here, much needed words, but the beginnings of plans for action.

I can easily see Marco Rubio  as President picking this country out of the leftist rubble and leading us back to civilization, and spearheading a global return to renewal. That is, if he also pushes back against Islamist infiltrations, which he does not seem to have addressed yet.

  2. Michigan Dem Abdul El-Sayed Dodges Question on Why He Feared Offending Khamenei Supporters

    https://www.algemeiner.com/2026/07/21/michigan-dem-abdul-el-sayed-dodges-question-on-why-he-feared-offending-khamenei-supporters/

“…El-Sayed, a physician and former Wayne County health official, is running as the progressive candidate in a race that has increasingly become a referendum on the Democratic Party’s approach to Israel and the Middle East.”

‘He has accused Israel of genocide and apartheid, called it a “rogue state,” and argued that its government and the Hamas terrorist organization are both “evil.” He has also questioned US support for maintaining Israel as a specifically Jewish state.

El-Sayed has campaigned alongside left-wing political streamer Hasan Piker, who endorsed his candidacy and appeared with him at events in Michigan. During one such appearance, El-Sayed denounced the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and accused it of influencing lawmakers to support the war against Iran.’

‘His campaign has sought to redirect attention toward domestic issues, particularly health care, affordability, and the economy. El-Sayed argued Sunday that CNN’s questions about Israel and Iran were overshadowing those concerns.

The Michigan contest has nevertheless emerged as one of the country’s most closely watched Democratic primaries. Pro-Israel groups have spent heavily to support Stevens, while progressive leaders including Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have rallied behind El-Sayed.

The winner will face Republican former Rep. Mike Rogers in November in a race expected to help determine control of the Senate.”

  3. Far-left activist conference at teachers union HQ raises classroom concerns

North American Values Institute’s Josh Weiner warns the union’s political agenda is bleeding into classrooms

I was initially radicalized by my high school history teacher in the mid ‘70s, who had all these glossy materials by professors and historians about how the cultural revolution in China was the most peaceful and democratic revolution in history and how America was founded on slavery and land grabs.

(In college, many years later. I met a student from the former East Germany, and comparing notes, we were amazed to discover we had the same education.)

I was skeptical of statist dictatorship so when he said Mao started out interested in Anarchist ideas, communism without a state, I was intrigued, went up to the school library to look it up and was led to the works of Peter Kropotkin.

I then moved down to the East Village looking for the infinitesimal remnants of the Movement and kept reading and talking to people I thought knew more than I did, some quite old.

I am rather proud of the fact that even when I was a quasi-independent Marxist Leninist, initially not taking sides between the different factions, Trotsky, Mao, Stalin and eventually going with Stalin, I never handed fliers out to kids, even when they asked for them. I think that’s despicable. Though we were active in universities.

And that’s what they’re doing. The problem is indoctrination in the schools, at all levels now.

  4. how many notorious international terrorists were doctors, teachers, lawyers, engineers and other accomplished professionals

There is no exact global count of how many notorious terrorists were professionals, but sociological studies and intelligence reports indicate that hundreds of highly educated individuals have joined violent extremist groups. While most foot soldiers are economically disadvantaged, prominent terrorist leaders and bomb-makers are frequently from accomplished professional backgrounds. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Research into the demographics of militant groups, such as the studies by LSE Research Online and the ETH Zurich Center for Security Studies, highlights the overrepresentation of certain highly educated disciplines among extremist ranks. [1, 2]
Notorious examples of individuals with accomplished professional backgrounds who became major figures in international terrorism include:
    Doctors
    * Ayman al-Zawahiri: Al-Qaeda’s leader who planned the 9/11 attacks was an Egyptian-born surgeon.
    *
    * Dr. George Habash: The founder of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) was a trained pediatrician.
    *
    * Dr. Fathi Shikaki: A founder of Palestinian Islamic Jihad was a medical doctor. [1, 2, 3, 4]
    *
    Engineers
    * Osama bin Laden: The founder of al-Qaeda held a degree in civil engineering.
    *
    * Khalid Sheikh Mohammed: The mastermind of the 9/11 attacks held a degree in mechanical engineering.
    *
    * Mohamed Atta: The ringleader of the 9/11 hijackers studied urban architecture and engineering.
    *
    * Yahya Ayyash: Hamas’s chief bomb-maker (known as “The Engineer”) held a degree in electrical engineering. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
    *
    Lawyers
    * Ulrike Meinhof: A prominent leader and intellectual of the German left-wing terrorist group the Red Army Faction (RAF), she was an accomplished journalist and educator. [1]
    *
    * Various Planners: In leftist European and South American militant groups (such as Italy’s Red Brigades), trained lawyers frequently held high-level command and ideological roles. [1]
    *
    Teachers and Academics
    * Abubakar Shekau: The late leader of Boko Haram in Nigeria was educated as an Islamic teacher.
    *
    * Anwar al-Awlaki: The prominent al-Qaeda recruiter and ideologue was an American-trained educator and lecturer.
    *
    * Hezbollah Ranks: In the militant group’s extensive civil-military structure, casualties have included numerous professional teachers, engineers, and physicians operating within their “Resistance Society” infrastructure. [1, 2, 3, 4]
    *
Sociologists attribute this disproportionate number of highly educated professionals to two factors: frustrated economic expectations in developing nations (particularly for engineers), and a cognitive tendency for certain technical disciplines to reject societal ambiguity in favor of rigid ideological and religious worldviews. [1, 2, 3]

    • chevalier marxist and antizionist worldview shaped by her columbia professor she said

The statement regarding a Marxist and anti-Zionist worldview shaped by a Columbia professor refers to Darializa Avila Chevalier, a Democratic congressional nominee in New York’s 13th District. [1, 2, 3]
While her political platforms and past social media usage have drawn substantial national attention, specific context surrounding this sentiment highlights her background: [1, 2]

      Background on the Controversy
      * Resurfaced Social Media Posts: In mid-2026, CNN’s KFile unearthed deleted posts from Avila Chevalier’s former Twitter account (Darializabonet). The posts featured favorable references to communist figures, Marxist ideology, and calls to “seize the means of production”. [1, 2, 3]
      * Columbia University Roots: Avila Chevalier attended Columbia University as an undergraduate (graduating in 2016), where she first became heavily involved in Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and co-founded Columbia University Apartheid Divest (CUAD). [1, 2]
      * Ideological Influence: Throughout her 2026 campaign, critics and political profiles highlighted how her formative years in Columbia’s sociology department and student activism circles deeply shaped her hard-left economic views and staunch anti-Zionist foreign policy stances. [1, 2]

      Recent Political Context
Avila Chevalier, a democratic socialist backed by New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), pulled off a major political upset by narrowly defeating long-time incumbent Rep. Adriano Espaillat in the June 2026 Democratic primary. Her platform focused heavily on populist affordability politics tied with vocal opposition to Israel. [1, 2, 3]
