This is the money-quote “With more Arab countries expected to follow the UAE’s example before the November US elections, Jordan’s longstanding political approach to resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict will become a minority position. But there are no signs that Amman is changing course.” Nor is there any sign that Abbas is changing course.

I have no doubt that extending sovereignty has only been delayed until after Nov 3/20.  Peace Treaty when signed will not bind Israel to forego her rights. And when she finally extends sovereignty, all Arab countries who have peace treaties with Israel will not abort them..

Jordan has always been a staunch supporter of the two-state solution and the Arab Peace Initiative, but that might not mean much anymore after Israel and the UAE agreed to normalize ties under a historic US-brokered deal.

Jordan’s defense of the two-state solution as the only path for peace between Arab states and Israel has always been an uphill struggle that grew harder when Donald Trump moved into the White House. But the recent normalization agreement between the United Arab Emirates and Israel has made this objective more difficult to attain than ever. The UAE has claimed that the deal, announced by Trump on Aug. 14, has buried Israel’s plan to annex parts of the occupied West Bank, but Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was quick to announce that annexation was still “on the table.”

Sudan on Tuesday expressed interest in a peace deal with Israel, saying a treaty creating diplomatic ties between Jerusalem and Khartoum could be signed by the end of the year or in early 2021.

The announcement was immediately feted by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who met with Sudan’s transitional leader earlier this year in a diplomatic breakthrough after years of enmity.

Imagine if other countries were being subjected to what you’ll see below. How long would they put up with such things before taking decisive (i.e., not “tit-for-tat”) action to end it. And as completely, and with as minimum cost to themselves, as possible?

With Israeli lives and property being deliberately targeted for destruction, and thousands upon thousands of acres of Israel being set on fire by Arabs from Gaza, it appears that Israel has once again finally started to overdose on these clear acts of war. It appears that Israel is preparing to respond in a big way.

Personally, I’m hoping that the response is exceptionally effective, but done in such a way as to indeed minimize the risk to the mostly young Jewish soldiers who often have to go in on the ground to locate the cowardly rats in their dens–more often than not deliberately embedded amid the technicality non-combatant population used as human shields.

In new op-ed for Israeli paper, ambassador to US says agreement will provide Abu Dhabi with ‘stronger’ tools to ‘forcefully’ promote rights of the Palestinian people

In his second op-ed for an Israeli newspaper, the United Arab Emirates’s ambassador  to the US said the new normalization agreement with Israel would allow for “direct” advocacy for the Palestinian cause, including the establishment of a sovereign state, now with “stronger” tools.

“As we have for fifty years, we will forcefully advocate for these ends,” Yousef Al-Otaiba wrote in the piece for Yedioth Ahronoth. “Now, we will do it directly, face to face and empowered with stronger incentives, policy options and diplomatic tools.

This has consequences far beyond simply giving only one side of the story and doing everything possible to make President Trump look as bad as possible. Government and law enforcement officials at all levels today have no problem appearing at functions of groups such as the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which the media consistently portrays as a “civil rights” organization when its agenda is in fact deeply subversive.

But they would never be caught dead at a conference of a group opposed to jihad violence and Sharia oppression of women, and if they did have the temerity to show up at such a gathering, they would have to answer to a hysterical media lynch mob enraged at their appearing at a meeting of a “hate group.”

In September 1978, three heads of state – president Jimmy Carter, prime minister Menachem Begin and president Anwar Sadat – gathered at Camp David in an effort to reach a peace deal. Thirteen days later they signed one on the lawn of the White House.

Begin didn’t come alone. Alongside were a group of advisers but also two of his ministers: foreign minister Ezer Weizman, and defense minister Moshe Dayan. Weizman at the time was a member of Begin’s Likud Party, but would eventually switch sides to Labor. Dayan, an independent, came from the opposite political camp.

T. Belman. The educators know that Conservative parents will object to them indoctrinating their children with “social justice” ideas as they define them. One teacher said “I am most intrigued by the damage that ‘helicopter/snowplow’ parents can do in the host conversations about gender/sexuality and while ‘conservative’ parents are my chief concern — I know that the damage can come from the left too. If we are engaged in the messy work of destabilizing a kid’s racism or homophobia or transphobia — how much do we want their classmates’ parents piling on?”

A school district in Tennessee is asking parents to sign a form agreeing not to monitor their children’s virtual classrooms over concerns that “non-student observers” could overhear confidential information.

The form, a copy of which was sent to the Tennessee Star, reads: “RCS strives to present these opportunities in a secure format that protects student privacy to the greatest extent possible, however, because these meetings will occur virtually RCS is limited in its ability to fully control certain factors such as non-student observers that may be present in the home of a student participating in the virtual meeting.”
