Peloni: Avi Abelow presents Part 2 of his exposure on the Israeli Deep State, while highlighting the import this war on reason and values portents for Israeli society and the public trust in the nation’s justice system.

For years, many people rolled their eyes whenever I warned about the growing political power of Israel’s legal establishment and a “deep state” of unelected officials who are constantly working against Netanyahu and his governments from implementing policies to protect our country and strengthen the Jewish identity of the country.
There is another definition of what it means to be a bad actor.

In a May 10 interview on “60 Minutes,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu complained bitterly about social media: “We have seen the deterioration of the support for Israel in the United States almost—I would say, it correlates almost 100% with the geometric rise of social media.”A key function of this trend is the way critics of Israel use—and often misuse—celebrities. Let’s look at one example.
Last month, memes began appearing all over social media with a quote from actor Richard Gere: “There’s no defense of this occupation. Settlements are such an absurd provocation … .”

Peloni: A rare telling of how a warped historical record is used to reframe reality, something which led to a civil war in Princeton University surrounding a modern exhibition of art by Jewish two veterans of the American Civil War.

I hope you will be an artist as it seems to me you are cut out for one. But whatever you do, try to prove to the world that if we did not succeed in our struggle, we were worthy of success. — Robert E. Lee’s advice to Ezekiel, as recalled in his memoirs.
When we talk about art, we can separate the man from the art, if it’s worth separating. And if you can do that with all these canonical artists, why can’t we do that with Ezekiel? — Samantha Baskind, author of Moses Jacob Ezekiel: Jewish, Confederate, Expatriate Sculptor and art historian, regarding his complex legacy.

Peloni: The question remains why the elements of the ecosystem created by the Muslim Brotherhood which exists in the US, and those associated most intimately with Washington, ie the branches in Qatar and Turkey, have all thus far gone unaddressed. Notably, these chapters of the Muslim Brotherhood are far more dangerous to Americans, and to America’s ability to actually dismantle the metaphorical engine created by the Brotherhood. In fact, taking down the Muslim Brotherhood requires that it be dismantled at the source of its strongest aspect of power, and this is not in war torn Lebanon and Sudan, nor in Jordan and Egypt. It is in the Washington and across America where the greatest threat of the Muslim Brotherhood emanates for the world, and yet these aspects of al-Banna’s creation have thus far been left untouched, despite the damage they are doing to America, itself.
Western governments once thought the Muslim Brotherhood a firewall against jihadism, although it was one of its principal incubators. In the US, it is at last being treated as the ideological engine that helped power the jihadist century.

For decades, critics of the Muslim Brotherhood have described it as the ideological grandfather of modern jihadism: a movement that learned to operate as a religious revival, political party, social-service network, educational project, and revolutionary incubator at the same time.
Peloni: It is time for Trump to finally choose between the prospects and costs of grasping victory or accepting defeat. As Trump has noted many times over the past year while pursuing negotiations in between the two wars which were each used to pressure the Iranian regime to accept his terms, Iran can not have a nuclear weapon. The only question is whether Trump is going to follow thru on the commitment to stand behind these words, or to surrender to the resolute nature of Iran’s obstinacy. For my own thoughts, I still believe Trump will choose victory over defeat, but time will tell if this is true.
The Iranians are generating cash flow, planning for the future, and taunting Trump. It’s time for his patience to end.
Yesterday, we published Travis Lynch’s essay suggesting that Trump needs to fish or cut bait if he is to effectuate change in Iran. Right now, Trump is in what’s becoming an unstable holding pattern that creates the appearance, at least, that Iran has the upper hand. News today, though, suggests that (a) Iran has finally gone too far and (b) Trump knows it.

Peloni: After fifty years of betrayal and being used as the chit by which the West gained bargained their future away, the Iranian people deserve the support of the West. The list of those Iranians slaughtered this past January, when tens of thousands of Iranians were murdered, is still being extended today with continued executions.

As a constitutional lawyer, bestselling author, and influential broadcaster, Mark Levin has long used his platform to advocate for a robust, peace-through-strength approach to global affairs. His commentary often reflects a deeply rooted distrust of authoritarian regimes coupled with a fierce commitment to Western democratic values. Recently, Levin distilled his complex, hawkish, yet distinctly modern foreign policy philosophy into a succinct and powerful statement regarding one of America’s most enduring adversaries: the Islamic Republic of Iran.
A global network of anti-Israel activist groups is mobilizing coordinated “Nakba 78” protests across the United States and around the world today, with organizers using the anniversary of Israel’s founding to challenge the Jewish state’s right to exist.
A Fox News Digital investigation found that about 425 organizations — including communist groups, Muslim advocacy organizations and anti-Israel activist coalitions attributed with blatant antisemitism — are working together in a coordinated transnational protest network with a combined funding footprint of about $1 billion in annual revenues.
This is not a fringe threat. It is the formalization of confrontation between Washington and Tehran inside Iran’s political system.
In-A-Nutshell, the Core Question is this: Is Iran seriously advancing a €50 million reward tied to the assassination of Donald Trump?
What’s Actually Happening: Iranian lawmakers have publicly discussed draft legislation proposing a €50 million payment for killing Donald Trump, framed as retaliation for the 2020 killing of General Qassem Soleimani.¹

Three generations since the establishment of the state, there are those who doubt the eternity of Israel and whether we will even reach the centennial celebrations (in another 22 years, or almost another generation). Allow me to tell about immigration in the current century, not only in order to encourage anyone to return or immigrate to Israel (if only, for these are especially lofty goals), but rather in order to nag those responsible to prepare, because the day will come, and Israel will have to absorb massive unplanned immigration, waves of persecuted Jews from all over the world (LA & NY included). That day is closer than we think, and the State of Israel is neither prepared nor really preparing.
I see a correlation between those who believe absurd claims like dogs were trained to rape Palestinians and those who insist Israel committed genocide in Gaza.
Both claims collapse under scrutiny and under mountains of contrary evidence. One ignores biology and basic science, including the reality that dogs cannot rape humans in the way being alleged. The other disregards the legal definition of genocide, which requires demonstrable intent to destroy a people as such. That accusation runs directly against repeated public statements by Israeli political and military leaders after October 7 that the war was against Hamas, not the people of Gaza.
The US military buildup in the Middle East continues unabated, indicating a desire to preserve the military option against Iran. It is entirely possible that the volatility in Trump’s posts is misleading.

For many years, we have not known, in Israel, in the Middle East and indeed around the world, a situation in which so much depends on the will and decisions of one man, US President Donald Trump.

On November 7, 2024, following a football match held between Maccabi Tel Aviv & Ajax, the match ended with what could hardly be described as other than a modern day Jew Hunt on the streets of the Amsterdam. Muslim groups across the city were chasing down and assaulting Israeli Maccabi fans resulting in stabbings, vehicle assaults, and severe physical violence throughout the evening. More than 30 Israelis were taken to hospitals, while others remained in hotels out of fear of leaving. The apparent organized and coordinated assault on Israelis came amid the backdrop of both the Gaza war and the pro-Hamas rallies around the world which had been ongoing for more than a year. The need for a national response to such an event in the future was patently clear.
