Security Considerations and National Unity Require Jordan Valley Sovereignty

By Col. (res.) Dr. Eran Lerman and Prof. Efraim Inbar, JISS

Executive Summary

The American peace plan provides a historic opportunity to break the futile paradigm based on the 1967 lines and ensure Israeli national security for the long term. It can extricate Israel (and the Palestinians) from false hopes engendered by the current peace paradigm – the “conventional wisdom” about an Israeli-Palestinian deal involving the expectation of Israeli withdrawal to the 1967 borders (with slight modifications), the uprooting of settlements, and a partition of Jerusalem. Again, this old paradigm is a recipe for continued deadlock.

In terms of security – protecting Israel, stabilizing Jordan, and preventing a terrorist takeover of a future Palestinian entity, and given the supreme importance of national cohesion, it is imperative to focus on the Jordan Valley and the Jerusalem envelope (which dominates the road to the Jordan Valley). There is a broad national consensus regarding the need to retain these regions. Moreover, this paradigm is consistent with Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin’s strategic legacy (as expressed in his last major diplomatic address to the Knesset in 1995).

Mr. Trump Goes to the Washington Cuckoo’s Nest

But how will this mashup of movies end this time?

By Bruce Thornton

Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and first term have been a weird mashup of Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. The difference is we won’t know until November 3 how this show will end.

Like the naïve appointed senator Jefferson Smith, Trump is a complete outsider to the bipartisan political guild that has run the country since 1945, lacking as he does the Ivy League credentials and/or government “service” required of our postwar presidents. And just as the populist Smith ended up exposing the corruption festering in DC, the populist Trump has kept his promise to “drain” the bipartisan “swamp” of incestuous government agencies and political offices that have exploited their power to enrich themselves and dominate their political rivals, rather than serve the interests of ordinary citizens.

Blitz: Trump’s War on the Left is Just Getting Started

David Horowitz’s new book takes us behind the scenes of the real war.

By Daniel Greenfield, FPM

[David Horowitz’s new book, Blitz: Trump Will Smash the Left and Win, has made the NY Times Bestseller ListOrder it: Here.]

As the country seems to be spinning into chaos with cities burning and businesses shutting down, one question is on the minds of the media, the establishment, and the nearly 36 million Americans whose votes made history in the 2016 election.

Can President Donald J. Trump pull off a win one more time — in 2020?

That’s the question of the year that bestselling author David Horowitz tackles in his latest book, “Blitz: Trump Will Smash the Left and Win.” In his previous book, “Big Agenda: President Trump’s Plan to Save America,” Horowitz had laid out the strategy and the stakes for the struggle consuming the last three years. Now, in “Blitz,” he tackles the climactic battles for the next four years — and the future of America.

Who Runs the White House?

President Trump is enabling Jared Kushner to drive his chariot dangerously close to the sun. And if Kushner crashes, he will take Trump’s administration with him.

By Pedro Gonzalez, AM GREATNESS

It is a grand thing to rise in the world,” said Anthony Trollope, an English novelist of the Victorian era. “The ambition to do so is the very salt of the earth.” But sometimes ambition is the mother of monsters.

A recent article in The Hill cited “multiple reports” and two mega-donor Koch network groups—Americans for Prosperity and the LIBRE Initiative—as evidence to paint Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior advisor, as an immigration hawk. It was a portrait to make him look as if he were about to swoop down and pluck worker visas from the leafage.

Jared Kushner is many things, but “immigration hawk” is not one of them.

The 800-Pound Gorilla of American Judaism

By Victor Rosenthal

I won’t write about Peter Beinart’s latest obscene appropriation of Jewish concepts in the service of putting an end to the third Jewish commonwealth and returning the Jewish people to a condition of persecution and dispersal. He gets too much attention as it is. If you care, read this or this.

But I am interested in exploring where he and the Jewish audience that applauds him came from. What happened to the immigrant Jews like my grandparents, who put a few pennies in the pushka on Shabbat for the Jews trying to create a state? Their descendants go to college, join If Not Now, and say kaddish for Hamas terrorists. My grandmother would have kicked their butts around the block.

Negotiations between Iran and China over the creation of a 25-year strategic accord appear to have concluded, with The New York Times on Sunday publishing excerpts from an 18-page agreement labeled “final version” that could see Beijing invest $400 billion over the next 25 years in exchange for discount oil.

The document — which The Times said was dated June 2020 and has yet to be approved by the Majles, Iran’s parliament — detailed how Beijing would receive Iranian oil at a sharply reduced price for the next quarter century in exchange expanding its economic involvement in a variety of fields, including banking and infrastructure, such as telecommunications and transport.

Good Riddance to the World Health Organization

by Gordon G. Chang, GATESTONE INSTITUTE  •  July 13, 2020

  • China was malicious, and there is plenty of evidence of planning.
  • “Whether WHO can reform effectively is directly tied to the accountability issue,” wrote Dr. Xiaoxu Sean Lin, former lab director of the viral disease branch of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, to Gatestone. The structure of the organization defeats accountability he argues, because its leaders report to many member states and therefore to no one. As a result, unacceptable conduct goes unpunished.
  • To make matters worse, the WHO is a UN body, and the UN is composed of some of the world’s most malign actors. Accountability in such an organization is extremely unlikely as long as China, for instance, is considered a legitimate participant in issues of global concern, such as public health.

The Trump administration has rejected Minnesota’s request for federal aid to repair damage inflicted on Minneapolis and St. Paul after the death of George Floyd.

Gov.  Tim Walz,  a member of the state’s Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, announced earlier this month that he was asking the Federal Emergency Management Agency for the funds.

Walz noted in a release that “nearly 1,500 Twin Cities businesses were damaged by vandalism, fire, or looting” that took place during violent protests that followed Floyd’s death.

Turkey’s Hagia Sophia: “It’s Like If Saint Peter’s Had Been Turned Into a Mosque”

by Giulio Meotti, GAESTONE INSTITUTE  •  July 12, 2020

  • “Would you have enjoyed it so much if a mosque at the center of Europe was converted into a church?” — Ertugrul Özkök, Hurriyet, March 8, 2014.
  • Turkey, however, also apparently wanted to inflict a humiliation on the West. By turning Hagia Sophia into a mosque, Erdogan has been able to embarrass Washington, mock Brussels and defy Moscow.
  • For Erdogan and the Islamists, Hagia Sophia is the prime symbol of Christianity’s subjugation to Islam.
  • “Hagia Sophia is the symbol of conquest. It belongs to us”. — Yunus Genç, head of the Istanbul branch of the Anatolian Youth Association, Le Figaro, October 7, 2020.
  • When cartoons of Mohammed appeared in Danish and French newspapers in 2005, the Muslim world erupted in violence…. Now that Turkey is turning its formerly most important Christian monument into a mosque, there is no protest, only silence and mumbling, which are nothing but the soundtrack of the West’s submission to Islam.

Erdogan declares Hagia Sophia a mosque

T. Belman.  At least, Erdogan is not tearing it down, yet. The practice of wiping out the past is a fundamental tool of the Muslim world as it proceeds to conquer the world.  The red/green alliance in America is doing likewise with their desecretion of historical and religious monuments.

Opening it up to Muslim prayer is part of the Islamic conquest. Erdogan has his eyes on the Temple Mount.  He wants to make it more Islamic than it is today.

Defying the international community, Turkish president changes status of the legendary 6th-century site, which has been a symbol of ecumenical relations for centuries. “Like all our mosques, the doors of Hagia Sophia will be open to all, locals and foreigners, Muslims and non-Muslims,” he pledges. Scholars express concern about the fate of unique medieval mosaics inside the colossal landmark.

Jews against Themselves

T. Belman.  Not mentioned here is their enormous opposition to Trump’s Muslim Ban. The Jews could care less that Muslims are the most antisemetic people on earth.  I submit that one of the main reasons for the great spike in antisemetism is the significant increase in the Muslim population in Canada and the US.

By Eileen F. Toplansky, AMERICAN THINKER

Jews are now commemorating what is known as the Three Weeks.  It is when Jews express grief for the destruction of the Holy Temple in ancient Israel.  The Temple was breached by the Romans in 69 C.E.  The mourning period concludes with a fast to remember when both Holy Temples were set aflame.  Thus, Tisha B’Av (Ninth of Av) is the saddest day of the Jewish calendar.

These calamitous events, among others, came from outside the Jewish world but have impacted it for centuries.  What is happening today in America and abroad is that Jews are deliberately working against themselves.  Why are so many Jews joining forces with a known antisemitic group such as the Black Lives Matter?

Amazon bans a book critical of PM Justin Trudeau’s China ties

T. Belman. In 1973, his father, PM Pierre Trudeau, made an historic visit to China, the year after Pres Nixon did.  But Pierre was first to open up diplomatic relationships. Pierre had a fascination with communism and was best buds with  Castro.

The apple didn’t fall far from the tree.

By Andrea Widburg, AMERICAN THINKER
Monopolies aren’t bad just because they seal a market from competition, driving prices up and quality down. In an internet era, tech monopolies are truly malevolent because they foreclose the marketplace of ideas. Amazon just provided more proof of this fact by banning both paper and e-book sales of Ezra Levan’s China Virus. Teddy Roosevelt would have known what to do. It’s questionable whether anyone in today’s Washington has TR’s principles or courage.

Ezra Levant, a Canadian conservative, has spent years battling the censors in Canada, a country that lacks a First Amendment. His speech can be inflammatory but, before Friday, he was able to say freely in America what Canadian laws repeatedly tried to censor. Amazon changed that.

Thousands of business owners hold protest in Tel Aviv

Business owners, supporters, protest COVID-19 restrictions in Tel Aviv. ‘We’re not afraid of coronavirus, we’re afraid gov’t will kill us.’

Arutz Sheva Staff , 11/07/20 21:51

Thousands of people protested Saturday night at Tel Aviv’s Rabin Square.

The protest was organized by business owners who suffered losses due to the coronavirus restrictions.

“We call on the politicians to avoid coming to the Square this evening,” the organizers said. “They had enough time to work for us. The protest beginning this evening is not that of polticians – not from the right and not from the left – it is a protest of the people.”

Israel’s alleged Natanz strike ‘as complex as Stuxnet,’ a major blow to Iran

Blast at centrifuge assembly facility may have set back development by 2 years, experts tell the NY Times, with series of strikes causing ‘extreme internal and external pressure’

An alleged Israeli attack on an advanced centrifuge development and assembly plant at Iran’s Natanz uranium enrichment facility exhibited the complexity of the Stuxnet virus that sabotaged Iranian enrichment centrifuges a decade ago, experts and analysts said in a new report Friday.

Officials with knowledge of the blast at Natanz last week told The New York Times that it was most likely the result of a bomb planted at the facility, potentially at a strategic gas line, but that it was not out of the question that a cyberattack was used to cause a malfunction that led to the explosion.

Report: Putin nixed Obama initiative to create Palestinian state within 1948 borders

Phone call transcripts confirm Netanyahu lobbied both Kremlin and incoming Trump administration to curb initiative perceived as incompatible with Israel’s long-term security needs

i24NEWS| 06.18.20 ,

The Jerusalem Post reported Thursday that phone conversations between U.S. President Donald Trump’s former adviser Michael Flynn and former Russian UN Ambassador Sergey Kislyak confirm that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lobbied both the Kremlin and the incoming Trump administration to curb the initiative he perceived as incompatible with Israel’s long-term security needs.

Israel, it appears, learned of the planned move while working against the Obama administration-coordinated UNSC Resolution 2334, the first resolution since 1979 to condemn Israel over its settlement policy. Memorably, the U.S. abstained from voting, enabling the resolution’s passage, in one of Obama’s last acts as president.
