There won’t be better conditions for sovereignty

Soon the stars aligned in Israel’s favor will scatter, and who knows when or if they will align again?

By Amir Avivi, ISRAEL HAYOM  07-01-2020

Leading up to July 1, the original target date for Israel’s planned announcement of sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and settlements in Judea and Samaria, a group of former IDF officers and security personnel who believe in extending sovereignty published an open letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calling on him to demonstrate leadership and proceed to extend sovereignty and not listen to those who lack the courage and vision needed to make historic decisions.

Sadly, the greater the opportunity, the greater the numbers of those who oppose it. The long list of opponents, especially among senior military commanders, can be split in two. Some adhere to a plan of separation from the Palestinians and withdrawing to the ceasefire lines of 1949 and using the security barrier (Highway 6) as the basis of an international border. This would forgo any claims to sovereignty beyond the Green Line, or in other words, giving up our security and handing responsibility for it over to the Palestinians and the Jordanians, the ones who trumpet Arabs’ (nearly nonexistent) contribution to the security of Israel at every opportunity.

Obama admits it: Riots and protests are ‘tailor-made’ for electing Joe Biden

By Monica Showalter, AMERICAN THINKER

Joe Biden is hiding in his basement, but maybe that’s because the rabid-left looters, rioters, and protesters are carrying out his presidential campaign just fine for him.

What else can be concluded but that, given that President Obama has cynically admitted that the civil unrest covering the U.S. is “tailor-made” for electing Joe Biden?

Here’s a report from National Review:

Former President Barack Obama told aides this month that the nationwide protests following the death of George Floyd are “a tailor-made moment” to help his former vice president Joe Biden defeat Donald Trump in November.

According to a New York Times story based on interviews with more than 50 Obama confidants, the former president was made anxious after riots and looting rocked many American cities in the days following Floyd’s death and Trump began trumpeting “law and order” in response.

US seeking Israeli gesture toward Palestinians to offset annexation — TV report

T. Belman. As I have maintained, the Plan is only a vision and the boundaries of the potential statelet will be open for negotiations.  It makes sense to liberate the enclaves.  But that is a separate issue from the extension of Israeli law to the Jordan valley which should take place, regardless.  The next week is crucial.

Among ideas floated would be redefining some Area C lands as Area B; Israel said to present edited version of Trump map that addresses enclaves

The Trump administration is reportedly pushing Israel to offer the Palestinians some sort of compensation in exchange for the unilateral annexation of some of the West Bank land they want for their future state.

Among the ideas is transferring an area to the Palestinians where they can build without limits, or redefining some Area C lands, where Israel maintains full control, as Area B, where Palestinians have civil control, Channel 12 reported Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Kan public broadcaster reported that Israeli officials have passed along to the White House a slightly edited version of the Trump peace plan’s conceptual map that better connects a group of at least 15 isolated settlements to the rest of the West Bank territory the proposal envisions Israel annexing.

Jordan Will Gain Nothing From Confrontation Against Israel

By Erielle Davidson, JINSA Senior Policy Analyst

One of the greater concerns over Israel’s application of sovereignty to the Jordan Valley is that the move will undermine mutually beneficial Israeli-Jordanian cooperation. Jordan’s King Abdullah II has substantiated some of the worry, declaring earlier this year that if Israel follows through on its plans with respect to the Jordan Valley, it will result in a “massive” confrontation with the Hashemite Kingdom. Others have expressed the possibility that such a move on the part of the Israeli government would jeopardize the Israeli-Jordanian peace treaty.

Though applying Israeli sovereignty to the Jordan Valley poses some risk to Israel’s relations with Jordan, it is unlikely that Jordan will gain much from jeopardizing its productive partnerships with both Israel and the United States.

When discussing Israeli-Jordanian relations, it’s important to note that there is a sizeable gap between how Jordan postures itself publicly vis-a-vis Israel in order to placate its Palestinian population and how it conducts itself privately in its relations with the Jewish state. Jordan has benefited considerably from the fact it is one of just two Arab nations to maintain diplomatic relations with Israel.

There is no scientific data that shows Masks save lives, so why vote for Biden who would dictate that we all wear them?

By Jack Hellner, AMERICAN THINKER

If Joe Biden is elected, the wearing of a mask in public will mandatory, nationwide.

“The one thing we do know is these masks make a gigantic difference. I would insist that everybody out in public be wearing that mask. Anyone to reopen would have to make sure that they walked into a business that had masks,” Biden told CNN’s affiliate in Pittsburgh, KDKA, while wearing a black mask.

Pressed if he’d use federal power to mandate wearing a mask in public, Biden responded, “Yes, I would. From an executive standpoint, yes I would.”

Sovereignty in the Jordan Valley must come first

Historic decisions may require careful consideration, but they also require courage and determination.

By Nadav Shragai, ISRAEL HAYOM

Is Israel really hesitating to grab the opportunity presented by the “deal of the century”? There are troubling signs that this might be the case.

First, the plan to apply sovereignty to large parts of Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley involved 30% of the territory. Then came the idea of extending sovereignty in phases – a bad idea that only invites round of violence and terrorism. Now, it appears we’ve sunk even lower, as Arab officials have said that the sovereignty bid will exclude the Jordan Valley, and any move made in Judea and Samaria will only be symbolic.

Historic decisions may require careful consideration, but they also require courage and determination.

Poll: How Israelis feel about the Deal of the Century.

Only 27% of respondents said they believed Netanyahu would stand his ground, even at the cost of his relationship with Trump, while 53% said he would fold.

By GIL HOFFMAN, JPOST

The comprehensive poll of 1,182 respondents representing a statistical sample of the Jewish population of Judea and Samaria was taken between June 4-7 and had a margin of error of 2.4%. The poll was taken for the right-wing, pro-settler organization Regavim by Direct Polls, which is owned by Shlomo Filber, a former Netanyahu confidant who is currently a state’s witness against him in his criminal cases.

Only 27% of the respondents said they believed Netanyahu would stand his ground, even at the cost of his relationship with Trump, while 53% said he would fold. The rest declined to respond or did not know, which was true of all those who did not choose one of the answers in questions whose answers did not add up to 100%.

Apocalyptic science: How the West is destroying itself

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

By Bruce Pardy, FINANCIAL POST

a person standing in front of a brick building: Critical Theory drives government policies and shape public attitudes: Capitalism is oppressive. Private property rights cause environmental destruction. Prosperity causes climate change.

If you live in a Western nation like Canada in the 21st century, you have more freedom, prosperity and peace than most of the rest of the world at most other times in history. Yet these countries have never been at greater risk. The threat is not pandemics, climate change or war but something more insidious.

Modern Western civilization grew out of the Enlightenment of the 17th and 18th centuries. The ascendancy of reason in human affairs produced the scientific method and later the Industrial Revolution. Add in the rule of law, individual liberty, private property and capitalism, and you have the basic recipe that has raised most of humanity out of poverty over two centuries.

New academic doctrines are moving the world, or at least the West, from this triumph to decline. They dismiss science — real science — in favour of political agendas, in which theory trumps facts.

America can learn from Israel how to deal with internal terrorism

There has to be an active fight for social cohesion, impossible as that may seem, or America is doomed. Israel has managed to do it. Op-ed.

By Howard Rotberg, INN

I have spent time in both those countries, but that outsider identity sometimes gives me a perspective that is difficult for those living inside. As a Zionist, moderately religious, politically and culturally conservative intellectual, I am not fully at home in a Canada whose Prime Minister advocates “inclusive diversity” as the new Canadian ethos. For me, this cultural relativism and its welcome of immigrants who reject our very western values, endangers my family, many of whom are identifiably Jewish.

Canadian mainstream media, universities and the main political parties exercise their power to minimize the voice of conservative and pro-Torah writers. And so, most of my essays are carried in the U.S. – Frontpage Magazine, Jewish Voice of New York, New English Review, and in Israel with Israel National News and Israpundit.

A Brief History of Antifa: Part II

Antifa in the United States

By Soeren Kern, GATESTONE INSTITUTE

Antifa in the United States is highly networked, well-funded and has a clear ideological agenda: to subvert, often with extreme violence, the American political system, with the ultimate aim of replacing capitalism with communism. A Brief History of Antifa: Part I

by Soeren Kern, GATESTONE INSTITUTE

Empirical and anecdotal evidence shows that Antifa is, in fact, highly networked, well-funded and has a global presence. It has a flat organizational structure with dozens and possibly hundreds of local groups.

  • Antifa’s stated long-term objective, both in America and abroad, is to establish a communist world order. In the United States, Antifa’s immediate aim is to bring about the demise of the Trump administration.
  • A common tactic used by Antifa in the United States and Europe is to employ extreme violence and destruction of public and private property to goad the police into a reaction, which then “proves” Antifa’s claim that the government is “fascist.”
  • Antifa is not only officially tolerated, but is being paid by the German government to fight the far right. — Bettina Röhl, German journalist, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, June 2, 2020.
  • “Out of cowardice, its members cover their faces and keep their names secret. Antifa constantly threatens violence and attacks against politicians and police officers. It promotes senseless damage to property amounting to vast sums.” — Bettina Röhl, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, June 2, 2020.

Systemic Racism Inherent in Democrats’ DNA

Clearly, what is systemic about racism in America can be found in the Democrats’ DNA

By Joan Swirsky, CFP June 29, 2020

If the upcoming presidential election on November 3, 2020, were not so serious, it would be downright hilarious just watching the Democrats twist themselves into pretzels in their efforts to project onto President Trump their own lengthy and shameful record of racism.

As Bill Federer of AmericanMinute.com has exhaustively documented:

  • In 1857, the Supreme Court, with seven of the nine justices being Democrats, decided that Dred Scott, a black slave, was not a citizen, but property.
  • After the Civil War, when Republicans enacted the 13th Amendment abolishing slavery in America, southern Democrats reacted by creating the vicious anti-black Jim Crow laws.
  • In 1866, Republican Rep. Thaddeus Stevens introduced legislation to give former slaves “40 acres and a mule,” but Democrats opposed it.

Virus Panic Pushed By Dems And The Media

By Dick Morris on June 29, 2020<
>
The Democrats want, above all else, for Trump to be defeated. Part of their plan is to so paralyze the country with fear of the virus as to delay any economic recovery until after Election Day.

Right now, the glass can be seen as half-full or half-empty. Virus deaths are down sharply while new cases and hospitalizations, particularly in states that never really closed down during the initial outbreak, are up.

The Trump administration says that the increase in cases is being driven by an increase in testing and points out that a disproportionate portion of those who test positive are younger people, not likely to die of the disease. For them, it is more like a severe case of the ordinary flu.

The Identity Politics Rebellion

By Victor Rosenthal

Identity politics is simple.

You associate yourself with others with whom you share a religion or ethnicity. You believe that the government and other authorities ought to be dominated by your group. In a democracy, you vote for them exclusively. In a non-democracy, every group tries to install its own people in positions of power, by force if need be.

When you have identity politics, the in-group gets protektziya. If you are a member of the in-group you get government jobs, your business gets lucrative government contracts, and you get your parking tickets fixed. If not – well, it depends on how bad your regime is. In a place like Syria, you stand a good chance of being murdered.

The Thin Blue Line

by Linda Goudsmit, PUNDICITY  6.29.2020

There are good cops and there are bad cops. There are good doctors and there are bad doctors.

The 24/7 fake news media insists that the mob is tearing down statues, smashing windows, looting, and burning down cities because a bad cop killed a man. I don’t think so.

Does the mob burn down hospitals when a bad doctor kills a patient? No, why not? Because there is no advantage to the rulers of the mob in burning hospitals to the ground. The phrase “mob rule” is a misnomer because the mob is not self-ruled, the mob does not rule the mob, the mob has leaders.

ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter (BLM) are racist, supremacist, anti-American domestic terrorist organizations. Their leaders advocate the overthrow of the U.S. government, reverse discrimination, and eliminating police departments.
