Israel Seeks to Build International Coalition Against Iran-backed Houthis as Attacks Increase
Peloni: While complaints of both Americans and world leaders have argued against the US being the world’s policeman, the Trump Doctrine has called for regional partners who have the capacity and aligned ideology to promote US interests without US involvement. This was clearly the role played by Israel in the 12 Day War, even ending that war as declared by the US, and even dropping its final attack regardless of the yet to be met timed deadline due to Trump’s public demand that they do so. Israel has been likewise playing a similar role with Yemen, having taken over the attacks on the Houthis after attacking internatioinal shipping and is now seeking to assemble an international coalition to end the Houthi menace, much as Mike Doran informed us in a recent podcast that Israel would be doing so. This is the Trump Doctrine in action.

- Israel Seeks Coalition: Israel is reportedly seeking to build a coalition of U.S. and partner forces to launch renewed strikes against the Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen after the terrorist organization’s attacks intensified in recent weeks. According to reports on July 10, Jerusalem believes that the Houthi threat “can no longer remain solely an Israeli problem” and that “a renewal of American attacks and the formation of a coalition including additional countries” is necessary to put an end to the Red Sea terrorism. Israel last launched strikes against the Houthis on July 7, striking the Houthi-controlled ports of Hodeidah, Ras Issa, and Al-Salif, as well as the Ras Kanatib power station north of Hodeidah.
