Pompeo told the Israel Hayom newspaper that they discussed annexation “but also many other issues related to it – how to deal with all the factors involved, and how to make sure the move is done properly to bring about an outcome in accordance with the vision of peace”.

Senior officials with Pompeo on visit to Israel: “Annexation” may not happen by July 1. In any event, it was “not the purpose of the trip.”

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo didn’t “fly halfway around the world to talk about annexation,” senior State Department officials who accompanied Pompeo on his recent visit to Israel told reporters.

According to a transcript of the conversation dated yesterday, Thursday, two officials were asked whether they thought Israel would proceed with “annexation on July 1st.”

“Well, I think – listen, the Secretary has said on the record and very publicly we are working with the Israelis to implement the Vision for Peace. The Israelis are working through this. We’re supportive of their efforts,” the first official said. “They’ve got a coalition government that has various strands. And I think it’s going to take them a while to come together with what they’re going to do.”

The second official added, “But I do think that we should dispel the notion that we flew halfway around the world to talk about annexation. That’s been reported […] incorrectly.”

Although the secretary of state took pains to avoid publicly addressing the issue, he seemed to caution Israel’s leadership against moving too quickly to annex occupied territory.

WHAT A BETRAYAL

Up until today, we were repeatedly told that annexation had been agreed to and that it was to be done after July 1/20.  Bibi was so desperate to become Prime Mister, notwithstanding the indictments, that he gave the farm away.  He started negotiations with a 59 seat majority but allowed Gantz to take him to the cleaners. Gantz, who had 19 seats only got almost half the ministries including the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Defense. Make no mistake about it, this is a left wing government.

Document includes sections on coronavirus crisis and a promise to promote settlement throughout the country.

The Likud and Blue and White parties on Wednesday evening published the basic guidelines of the new government, and a look at the document reveals that it does not include the application of Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley, as Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu promised.

The document includes five clauses concerning the coronavirus pandemic and the need to deal with the medical and economic crisis affecting Israel as a result.

“The Israeli government will set up an emergency cabinet to deal with all issues arising from the coronavirus crisis. This cabinet will include all the necessary actions in both the socio-economic and medical aspects. The government will lead a plan to exit the deep economic crisis, build and approve a state budget to meet the challenges posed by the pandemic. The plan will address issues of employment, support for the business sector, self-employed and third sector,” the document reads. Read more…

Hedge-fund manager predicts U.S. economy could contract upwards of 10%

Kyle Bass made his name betting against the U.S. housing market more than a decade ago, and today he is predicting an economic contraction that could be more than three times as severe as that suffered during the Great Financial Crisis.

“For the year I think you’re going to see U.S. GDP down somewhere between 7% to 10% in real terms,” as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the government’s efforts to contain the spread of the virus with business shutdowns, and “10% is an economic depression,” said the founder of hedge fund Hayman Capital Management, in an interview.

Indeed, the last time the U.S. economy contracted on an annual basis was during the financial crisis in 2009, when it shrank by 2.5%. The last time it shrank by more than 10% was in 1946 at the end of World War II. Prior to that the U.S. economy shrank by 12.9% in 1932, at the height of the Great Depression.

The Wuhan Virus pandemic is not the most significant crisis in our nation’s history.  It isn’t even the greatest public health crisis in our history.  But with the imposition of a near total national lockdown it is undoubtedly the greatest marginalization of personal liberty in American history.

Over the centuries, in virtually all societies, people known to be infected by various deadly diseases were confined and isolated in order to mitigate the spread and protect the rest of society.  Never have we confined the entire population ostensibly for the same objective.

Over the past 50 years, an ever-increasing percentage of the citizenry has been conditioned to look to the government to cure all societal and health related ills.  The ruling classes have eagerly promoted this mindset as it abets their lust for permanent power.  However, this obligates those in power to cure all ills, even a global pandemic.  Thus, it follows that the State will inevitably claim that in order to do so it must take control of our lives against our will even if we are healthy, lest we fall ill and overwhelm the health care system.

• According to the ICC’s charter, the Court cannot investigate the conduct of non-signatory states of the 1998 Rome Statute that established the Court. Israel, like the U.S., is not a signatory of the statute.
• Bensouda, by accepting the Palestinian Authority (PA) as plaintiff, further violates the Rome Statute: the ICC is only permitted to investigate allegations brought by a sovereign state. There is no State of Palestine. There are no established boundaries of any possible future Palestinian state. There is no population of a sovereign state to act as a plaintiff….
• Bensouda’s decision appears to undercut the ICC’s already damaged reputation that it is neither independent nor impartial. The ICC’s budget is limited and increasingly hostage to the UNGA. The UN also appoints the ICC’s panel of judges, an intrinsically political process, subject to bloc voting in the UNGA.

What we witness with JStreet has been the outside influence of radicals on impressionable young Jewish minds who instill into them the perception of resentful Arabs as victims’ worthy of their compassion.

Its called Taqiya which is “the practice of denying one’s religion, permissible when one is faced with persecution,  regarded as a means of protecting the religion.” In other wordfs, its acceptable to misinform about Islam when you are weak. When Islam conquers a country, it doesn’t bother to hide their true religion.

Anything that advances Islam is a good. They eradicate the past whenever they can and rewrite history.

In other words both the left and Islam lie to obtain power.

Iraq’s national recovery has been brewing internally over nearly seven months of political unrest, ignited by protesters who took to the streets in October 2019 to demonstrate against the country’s endemic corruption and lack of basic services, and against Iran’s increasing meddling in Iraq’s internal affairs.

Iran’s attempt to silence protesters by force using its Iraqi militias failed when the protesters forced the Tehran-backed prime minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi, to resign in November 2019, after only one year of his four-year tenure. Abdul Mahdi’s resignation signaled the beginning of the shattering of Iran’s grip over Iraq’s political system.

Islamic Republic’s plan to use Syria as forward operating base unravels.

Things are looking bleak for the Islamic republic these days. Iran is currently facing its worst economic crisis since the 1979 revolution. Money wasted on endless proxy wars and crippling sanctions instituted by the Trump administration have taken a heavy toll on Iran’s economy. The value of Iran’s currency, the rial, continues to plummet. On the black market, one dollar fetches 156,000 rials rendering the currency virtually worthless. Iran’s attempt to rename its currency and slash some zeros off that lopsided exchange rate will do nothing to stem the problem of hyperinflation and unemployment in the Islamic Republic.

The Chinese coronavirus has also taken its toll. Government health officials reported 109,000 confirmed cases with 6,685 deaths. That official number is almost certainly a lie and the figure for those infected and succumbing to the disease is far greater. In addition, at least 700 Iranians have died from drinking toxic methanol alcohol in the convoluted belief that this would prevent them from getting infected.

Hillary Clinton Resists Court Order to Produce After Action Memo on Search and Review Process that Lead to Deletion of Her Emails; Judicial Watch Files Motion to Compel

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a motion in federal court to compel former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to produce the December 2014 after action memorandum created by her personal attorney Heather Samuelson that memorializes the search for and processing of Clinton emails in 2014. Samuelson reviewed Clinton’s State Department emails and about half of them were deleted (Hillary Clinton is also resisting, through an emergency appeal, the court’s order that she testify to Judicial Watch about her emails.)

The filing comes in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit that seeks records concerning “talking points or updates on the Benghazi attack” (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:14-cv-01242)). Judicial Watch famously uncovered in 2014 that the “talking points,” which provided the basis for false statements by then-National Security Advisor Susan Rice, were created by the Obama White House. This FOIA lawsuit led directly to the disclosure of the Clinton email system in 2015.
