Power of Vice President to Count or Reject Electoral Votes on Jan 6, Disputed

T. Belman. Not to worry. The legislature path is coming to life. To date the problem has been that thew Governors have refused to call the Legislatures into session so that a vote to certify could be taken. That’s aside from the reluctance and reticents of the legislators to stand up to be counted. No longer.

It seems that a majority of legislators in each of the swing states can meet in a field, or anywhere without being called into session, in order to retake back their plenary authority to select the electors. Currently each of the 6 swing states have a majority willing to do so and these meetings are being set up. That means that before Jan 6, 2021 at 1:00 pm, they will have done so, thereby enabling Pence to count the votes. Either Trump will win decisively, assuming all states select his electors, or no one will have 270 electoral votes, if some simply cancel Biden’s certification. In that case it goes to the House of Reps to decide based on one vote per state, in which case Trump wins.

News Analysis

At 1 p.m. local time on Jan. 6, members of Congress will gather in the chamber of the House of Representatives to observe the formal certification of Electoral College votes for president of the United States.

While it’s usually a formality, nothing has been usual so far about this year’s election amid numerous allegations of voter fraud in key swing states.

Jews are not lemmings, Mr. Gandhi

Are Jews staying in the west participating in their own suicide? Are those Israelis who feel the country should give more land to Arabs doing the same?

Howard Rotberg, INN

“They should have thrown themselves into the sea from cliffs.”– Mahatma Gandhi, suggesting that mass suicide should have been the preferred Jewish response to the Holocaust, as opposed to fighting back or seeking refuge elsewhere.

Throughout the West various leftists and pacifists still worship the passive resistance legacy of Gandhi. This worship or virtue-signalling, however, does not impress me, especially because my father was a slave labourer in Auschwitz and his parents and then 8 year old sister were murdered in the gas chambers there.

We should also examine myths surrounding lemmings jumping off cliffs, as Gandhi seems to infer that is moral, as quoted above.

Economic vs. Cultural Marxism: The Most Important Distinction

By Steven Kessler, AMERICAN THINKER

Many on both ends of the political spectrum are aware of the fact that social justice is simply Marxism, masquerading as a new ideological movement.  Like Marxism, social justice’s goal is to make the world a more balanced and equitable place.

As Marx phrased it in Das Kapital, “[i]n order to establish equality, we must first establish inequality” (1).  By finding the inequalities of the world, the Marxist can then begin eliminating the obstacles that impede equality.  The more of these sources of inequality the Marxist eliminates, the closer we move to an equitable socialist utopia.  This is why Marx was so adamant about abolishing certain fixtures of society.

Progressive Disorder and Injustice

By Anthony J. DeBlasi, AMERICAN THINKER

It escapes too many observers that the remedy for the highly visible deficit in social progress is not government.  Government deals with the facts of life and reality; it does not alter or reinvent them. The curative is not the heart, too easily played on by manipulators of emotion.  And it is not the mind, which is in place to adapt to reality, not replace it. If the “enlightenment” claimed by progressives has proved anything, it is that the misappropriation of reason and science by people playing god for more than two centuries has produced a mockery of social justice and wellbeing.

One must be blind, asleep, bribed, drugged, or possessed not to notice the absurdity of “men having babies,” boys becoming girls, girls becoming boys, babies killed for convenience before, during, and after birth, “mother” and “father” branded as obsolete concepts, and expressions of truth denounced as “hate speech” . . . to mention a few products of “progress” that expose a mental pathology that dismisses any profession of enlightenment and claim to authority.

China Is Slowly Taking Over Africa And No One Is Talking About It

TEA PARTY

(Tea Party 247) – The Chinese are dominating the continent of Africa, and hardly anyone seems to be talking about it.

While Europe once dominated the continent by force, the Chinese are doing it the same way they are attempting to spread their influence elsewhere around the world: by importing people and businesses.

They’re building giant, self-sustaining cities right in the middle of the most strategic locations on the continent, populated with some of the three million Chinese that already populate Africa. Read more…

Deep in the Age of Unreason

By Eric Utter, AMERICAN THINKER

There was once an Age of Reason.  Today, we appear to be living in the Age of Unreason.  Or insanity.

As I’ve noted in previous posts, it is exceedingly difficult today for a sane person to believe what he observes on a daily basis, whether it be Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stating that the world will end in 12 years, Nancy Pelosi demanding that Republicans in the Senate put on a “fair” trial, pundits and talking heads blithely comparing President Trump to Hitler or the devil, people being threatened with fines or job loss for “misgendering” someone, or the pronouncements that men are having their own babies…to name but a few of the absurdities now passed off as news.  Additionally, nearly every progressive policy prescription is utterly, demonstrably devoid of reason and logic.

Surge of Shiite militia attacks in store for US forces in Iraq, possibly Israel too

DEBKA

Iran’s leaders are not likely to be deterred by US President Donald Trump’s warning on Dec. 31 that Tehran would be held responsible for attacks on US forces in Iraq and the storming of the US embassy in Baghdad. The mob of thousands of Kataib Hezballah supporters who broke into the embassy on Tuesday heralded the reverse scenario. Iran believes that ramping up the pressure on US forces in Iraq will serve its interests in Iraq as well as in Syria.

Is Pompeo running point on Israel as Trump moves away from Netanyahu?

T. Belman.  I think so.  Bibi is in conflict with Trump on some things and Trump is losing confidence in his leadership.  I think he prefers Bennett and Shaked.

Pompeo’s rise as a central figure in the US-Israel relationship comes as US President Donald Trump seems to be distancing himself from Netanyahu.

When Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wanted to discuss the US airstrike on Iran-affiliated terrorists Kataib Hezbollah in Iraq and Syria on Monday he spoke with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

It wasn’t the State Department that ordered the airstrike. But the call, which the sides said was about the strike and Iranian threats more broadly, is just one of a number of examples of how Pompeo has become the point person for the Trump administration on Israel matters.

And Pompeo’s rise as a central figure in the US-Israel relationship comes as US President Donald Trump seems to be distancing himself from Netanyahu. Read more…

The U.S.-Iran Showdown Begins in Iraq

America hits Ktaib Hezbollah, one of Tehran’s most effective militias.

By Jonathan Spyer, WSJ

The U.S. killed at least 25 Ktaib Hezbollah fighters on Sunday night in its first counterstrike in a decade against an Iran-aligned Iraqi Shia militia. U.S. F-15E aircraft struck three sites in Iraq and two in Syria in retaliation for Ktaib’s Friday rocket attack, which killed an American contractor and wounded four U.S. service personnel.

The war against Islamic State in Iraq looks likely to be overshadowed by a growing confrontation between Iranian proxies and the roughly 5,200 U.S. troops in the country.

Soros’ War Against the Jews

By Daniel Greenfield, FPM

When George Soros hit middle age, he began seeing a shrink.

The ruthless financier’s problem was that he was burdened with an “oversized” sense of shame over a “guilty secret”. That guilty shameful secret which sent Soros to a psychoanalyst was “Jewishness”.

Soros’ Jewish problem was generational. He grew up in, in his own words, a “Jewish, anti-Semitic home”

He had adopted his father Tivadar’s worldview, that God was a human invention. It was Tivadar who forged and sold documents to Jews trying to escape the Holocaust, charging “wealthy clients”, as he put it, “whatever the market would bear”. And it was Tidavar who found his teenage son a place with a Hungarian fascist official who was confiscating Jewish property.

Israeli Terror Victims File Massive Lawsuit Against Arab Bank

by Israel Hayom / JNS.org

JNS.org – A group of more than a thousand Israeli victims of Palestinian terror attacks on Monday filed an NIS 20 billion ($5.78 billion) lawsuit against the Jordan-based Arab Bank PLC at the Jerusalem District Court, claiming that the bank cooperated with, supported, assisted, funded and encouraged terrorist acts that killed hundreds of people.

This is the first time a bank has been sued in Israel for alleged involvement in financing terrorism, although victims of terrorism have filed suits in the country against both the Palestinian Authority and Hamas. The Israeli lawsuit follows a similar one filed in the United States in 2004, which was resolved last year through a settlement that paid out some $1 billion to victims of terrorism.

Israeli and Arab media sound the alarm that war between Iran and the Jewish state is now inevitable

T. Belman. Im not so sure. Trump said that he will strongly react if any of his people are killed. Iran can avoid that and carry on their war with Israel.

By Yochanan Visser, ISRAEL TODAY

A US warship docks in Israel

On Sunday, Israel finally got help from the US military in the battle against Iran and its numerous proxies in the Middle East when American warplanes fired more than 30 missiles at 5 bases of the Kata’ib Hezbollah militia in both Iraq and Syria.

US F-15 Strike Eagles bombed weapon depots and command centers of Kata’ib Hezbollah (meaning: battalion of the party of God) killing 25 members of the militia which is part of the Iranian-backed al-Hashd al-Shaabi umbrella organization of predominantly Shiite militias in Iraq.

Delusions about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict

Order The Palestinian Delusion HERE.

At the Freedom Center’s Restoration Weekend in Palm Beach, Florida on November 17, 2019, I unveiled the duplicity and deception at the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian “peace process” and explained, among other things, why Anwar Sadat should not be revered as a man of peace.
